My wireless and home phone voice mail have a shared mailbox. When a message is left in the mailbox, the app vibrates the phone and I can read a transcription of the message and delete without needing to dial and log into the mailbox over the phone. So convenient, thanks AT&T! ### 3/5 — Setting Changes Save PIN every time after IOS 18.5 *2025-06-26, version 1.15.0* This app has been go to message retrieval for our 2 U-Verse phone lines. It seems after iOS 18.5 (when noticed), it requires PIN every time the app is opened! It needs to be updated, since last update was 2 years ago! Turns out in settings this was OFF. After turning back on, PIN is retained. Hope this APP is maintained, due to reliance upon it! ### 2/5 — The app freezes up each use! *2024-07-19, version 1.15.0* I’ve had this app for my office for several years. I haven’t seen any update in quite some time. The app has good bones, but it freezes up EVERY time I use it with my iPhone. I have to close it out & log back in multiple times each use. No ringtone letting me know someone just called. I had 15 messages waiting. The sound icon selected I tried everything before calling AT&T. I was transferred to other departments and nobody I mean nobody knew or heard of this APP. I tried for two days trying to get help. Keep in mind I’m paying a monthly fee for this App. Where’s the customer service. My work around because I need this app. I check the app manually every 10 minutes to see if I have any messages. It crashes all the time. Now, when I start it, my phone number is empty and it won't let me enter it. ### 1/5 — Stopped playing voicemail on iPad after last update *2023-08-31, version 1.15.0* I regret updating the app recently because now after years of using this app without any problems, I can no longer play the voicemail on my iPad. pressing the play button does nothing. Why provide home voice services with voicemail if you’re not going to give people a logical way to retrieve the messages without the app freezing and shutting down? It doesn’t make. “Connecting people for good is what we do best.” It’s your slogan. You’re better off with a laptop and the web portal since their site is even worse on the phone. The translation is mediocre at best. Also when listening to the message it’s always through the phone speaker even if you have headphones or AirPods connected lol. I often get an error message when trying to open a new voicemail that it can’t be downloaded. I’ve used it for umpteen years and it’s the same as when it rolled out. Poor user interface and buggy in use. ATT should really be ashamed that their name is on this app in 2024 as it’s quality and usability is quite poor. I finally set aside time to call AT&T customer service and the rep figured out and fixed the issue in a couple minutes (and I was only on hold for about thirty seconds). It was a password problem, so a simple fix once the rep got it updated for me. Anyway, this app has been a great way for me to check in on my home office calls and faxes when I’m on the road, and I am thrilled to have it up and running again. If I run into further snags, I won’t delay calling their customer service line. Recently my iPhone X s Max crashed and I had to have it restored to factory settings. After reinstalling this app, I could no longer log in. I tried getting help with NO SUCCESS. I actually called AT&T and they could not help me AT ALL. After uninstalling and reinstalling a few times, it finally works great again. Support (Ben) spent quite awhile working to get it working again and succeeded. A few days later voicemail stopped again. Support tried again but we couldn’t get it to work. Contacted AT & T spent over 1 1/2 hrs and two techs finally got it working. Was a phone problem and not Virtual Voicemail program. Working great again ! ### 4/5 — ***How to Fix March 2021 “Unable to access” problem*** *2021-04-14, version 1.14.0* If after the March 2021 app update, the app says you can’t access your voicemail, try: 1) Go to Settings. 2) Turn OFF the “Save PIN” option. 3) Go to Inbox, you should be prompted to enter your home phone number and your PIN. If you’re not prompted, close the app and re-open again to go to Inbox. Enter home phone number and PIN when prompted. 4) The app should now function normally. Go back to Settings and turn “Save PIN” back on so that you won’t have to enter your number and PIN every time. ### 4/5 — **People having trouble logging in** *2021-04-01, version 1.14.0* I called AT&T and they figured out it is wanting a 6 digit PIN number in my case to login. Once my pin was changed to 6 digits it let me login and stay logged in. Once logged in under settings there is an option for pin to be remembered. If this doesn’t work for you call AT&T. The guy stuck with me and figured it out. Hope this helps!” ### 4/5 — Delete and download again if you get locked out *2021-03-24, version 1.14.0* I updated the app over the weekend to 1.14.0 and it locked me out. I had to delete the app and download it again (twice) for it to let me log in again. Overall, it’s a good app. Alerts me whenever I have a voicemail at home, and Reading the transcriptions - still not perfect – are much faster than actually listening to a voicemail. Deducted one star only because of the access issue. Otherwise highly recommended! ### 4/5 — Works now *2021-03-22, version 1.14.0* I gave a 1 because update knocked out access with two iPhones.
