### 4/5 — Disappointed

*2019-05-18, version 4.1*

I have listened to Meditation Oasis for years. I thought this would be an expansion on many of the great meditations I have enjoyed. I was disappointed that there are only three fairly short and similar meditations. Had I know it is so limited, I would have looked elsewhere.

### 4/5 — Very calming

*2017-09-28, version 4.1*

These meditations and the journaling are very helpful. Agree with the poster who wrote that the music should continue after the guided meditations in case you want to continue. The journaling is also helpful. A good "mini course" on managing anxiety.

### 5/5 — Great app

Great app

### 5/5 — Great app

*2016-08-08, version 3.2*

I really like the journaling available in this app. It makes you use your mind to help control the anxiety and stress rather than just deep breathing. If you use it, it really makes you think yourself out of the anxiety.

### 5/5 — So great..highly recommended l!

*2016-01-17, version 3.2*

For the first time in my life I truly understand how powerful meditation can be! This is life altering for me. For anyone going through stress, I can't recommend this, and all of their meditations, enough.

### 5/5 — Brilliant! So much calmer.

*2016-01-02, version 3.2*

Last year, I suddenly developed panic attacks and general anxiety in-between the panic attacks. I had no idea why I became this way at the time, which led to more and more anxiety and depression... until I came across two things... This wonderful app, and a great book "Hope and Help for Your Nerves", which went a long way to explain exactly why i felt the strange sensations of anxiety and panic. Both the book (not related to Meditation Oasis) and this app worked together wonderfully and were the two instruments that led to almost complete relief of my daily problems with panic and anxiety. I very highly recommend this app... It is absolutely worth the small price.

### 5/5 — a really great relief for work stress and anxiety

*2015-11-27, version 3.2*

Mary's voice is a really effective pacifier. I've been using this app to calm myself when I feel anxious or stressed, as well as to guide my daily meditation practice. I highly recommend it!

### 4/5 — Meditation

*2015-11-25, version 3.2*

Love this app. Information is very good and meditations very good also. Listen 3 or 4 times a week on my iPad great if you only have 10 minutes.

### 5/5 — Great!

*2015-09-24, version 3.2*

This is one of the best apps I've come across. The writers/creators/programmers really are interested in making it the best it can be and user feedback is requested and listened to. Great job guys!

### 4/5 — A Great Component for Dealing with Anxiety

*2015-08-31, version 3.2*

This app, and meditation in general have been very helpful for me. This app helps introduce beginners learn how to meditate and also helps more experienced meditators focus while they're experiencing anxiety. The guided journaling asks you the right questions to help the user learn about their own experience with anxiety, something that is hard to do on your own especially while you're in the depths.

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2015-08-24, version 3.2*

This app is wonderful and definitely works!

### 4/5 — Sleep affirmations help!

*2015-07-29, version 3.2*

Need one more hint. When something really hurts (sprained ankle, stiff back etc) how to use sleep affirmations to deal w a real problem or pain would be great.

Also--price is high. Esp when one of sleep affirmations is nearly identical to isleep

### 3/5 — Discovering it's helpfulness

*2015-06-07, version 3.2*

I'm just starting to work with this app, so I haven't uncovered it's full potential. What I've learned so far is encouraging.

### 4/5 — Great app

*2015-03-12, version 3.2*

The breathing meditation really helps me settle for a deep nights sleep

### 5/5 — Addictive

*2015-02-16, version 3.2*

I love these breathing meditations. Life long anxiety sufferer, beginning meditater, I feel refreshed and happier after using this tool.

### 5/5 — Great

*2015-01-19, version 3.2*

Very helpful for beginners like me.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Anxious

*2015-03-08, version 3.2*

Very disappointed! A waste of money!

### 1/5 — At Ease

*2014-12-30, version 3.2*

This was a huge disappointment. It's like listening to someone read a basic primer on anxiety .

### 1/5 — Seriously terrible! Do not buy.

*2014-09-13, version 3.2*

Robot voice makes me cringe! Nothing good about this app.

### 1/5 — At ease

*2014-06-01, version 3.2*

What a crock of s$;: I was gifted this app from my wife and when I redeemed it and tried to down load it, it was just in waiting for hrs. I turned the ph off and on again and it disappeared, couldn't redeem again.

### 1/5 — Constant reminders to about anxiety made me anxious!

*2013-01-05, version 2.2*

I'm in agreement with a previous poster in regards to the mention of anxiety by the soothing female voice, and reminders of it over and over jarring me out of a comfortable space. Every time I started to get relaxed, I got told my anxiety was nothing to pay attention to. The very mention of the word altered my focus in a bad way. I can understand the reassurance early on, but 7 minutes into a 9 minute session, I shouldn't be reminded that I might have anxiety! Stressful, though it has lots of good qualities.

### 2/5 — Deep breathing

*2018-02-06, version 4.1*

Deep breathing is really good but they are just way too short! The app does not have ability to lengthen the mediation’s, either. If I had known this before-hand, I never would of purchased this.

### 2/5 — Review

*2015-07-08, version 3.2*

Poor really, not worth the asking price, not enough features. Much better alternatives out there.

### 2/5 — Disappointed

*2014-06-05, version 3.2*

Very disappointed!

### 2/5 — Very little material on this app

*2010-08-08, version 0*

It consists of a breathing exercise and a few vey basic questions about your stress. Poor value for money.

### 3/5 — Not bad, could use Updates

*2016-04-07, version 3.2*

It's not a bad app. I like the contents of the app as a whole.

I think the journaling process should be more in depth. I think you should be to enter different journal entries for every new day, instead of just one long entry you have to repeatedly type in.
That would make it more organized as user friendly.

I like that it has meditation and breaking stuff. The audio is nice too, since it's there but you don't have to listen to it.

But overall could use updates to make it a more day by day thing that's more user friendly.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Simplicity. Effective. 27 point reduction in Systolic.

*2024-04-14, version 4.2*

I have had this app for years, I have tried others, and I currently subscribe to Calm. Calm offers stories and gabby sessions, which haven’t calmed me down effectively, so I switch to soft music on it.

This app is simple: no agenda other than calming the nervous system. It feeds into my Welltory app, which then tells me how effective a session was on my HR and HRV.

I take my blood pressure daily when I wake up. Today the OMRON gave 143/68 with average Heart Rate of 46. That was higher than usual (and I am being evaluated for possible bp medication). So I tried a session of “At Ease”, which took 8 minutes. It did relax me. I took my bp again: 116/63 with HR 46. That was a 27-point reduction in Systolic! That motivates me to work consistently with this app so I can achieve a more zen-like state and give my cardio system a break.

Thank you! I have the entire set, which had a small fee compared to other options. I heartily recommend!

### 5/5 — This is a wonderful app.

*2023-03-30, version 4.2*

This is my favourite app for relaxing and reducing anxiety.

### 5/5 — Finally

*2021-03-12, version 4.1*

I have searched for a simple but effective meditation method. Thank you.

I Was so tired of everything being a subscription and droning on and on about countless topics. I anticipate that many of those other apps will soon have meditations on in-grown toe nails or dandruff. Then happily charge you a monthly fee. Not for me!

To the creators of this app thank you. Please never submit to the subscription method. In my opinion subscriptions are contrary to the idea and purpose of meditation.

### 5/5 — Not just for anxiety

*2019-04-11, version 4.1*

I love all of Mary‘s meditations. This one is also useful for me in regards to depression and anger. Not just anxiety for which it is eminently suited.

### 5/5 — Very Good

*2018-12-25, version 4.1*

I use a number if the apps from this seller including Simply Being. I find them very good. They do what they promise.

### 5/5 — Best Meditation Series

*2018-03-01, version 4.1*

I love all of the meditation apps by mind oasis. They are calming and well balanced. The music is always lovely and I like how you can mix and match music to words. I would not hesitate purchasing any of their apps, I use them daily.

### 5/5 — Great meditations

*2017-08-11, version 4.0*

I love Mary Maddox's meditations. I wouldn't have gotten into meditation if it weren't for her apps. Pro tip, she also has a podcast through iTunes with many more, just search for Meditation Oasis.

My only suggestion for improvement is that it needs an option to continue the music after the meditation is done. Some of her apps have this and others do not, but they should ideally all have it.

### 5/5 — Love At Ease

*2017-03-15, version 3.2*

This is one of the best meditation apps out there! I love it!

### 5/5 — Great app

*2017-02-05, version 3.2*

I really like and have been enjoying this app.

### 5/5 — Great!

*2016-12-03, version 3.2*

Great app! Soothing voice and sounds
