Still no iPad support? *2026-08-12, version 1.46.0* Still two significant defects/omissions: no iPad support. sounds like one omission? Well, one is the fact that the app doesn't adapt to the iPad's screen size to show more info instead of just making everything bigger. The other is the fact that the journey planner feature on AT's website *also* doesn't work on an iPad. Why do you hate iPads, guys? Not helped by me having to put my glasses on just to undertake some basic lookups. But biggest issue is that, apart from nuking them in IOS settings, I cannot work out why I keep getting service notifications even though I have that option switched off in the app. I’m not in NZ right now, but I’m getting service notifications for services that are no longer of any interest to me. ### 2/5 — It tracks you all the time *2026-06-11, version 1.44.2* A good app to help track your bus and figure out where you need to be and which bus you need to catch. This is incorrect. Journey planner advise to catch bus 924, then get off at Bruce rd and catch bus 95C. There is no need to get off bus 924 because it goes via Fanshaw st. Please fix this issue because not only myself but other passengers are also switching buses unnecessarily. When it’s pouring with rain, or dark, it’s unpleasant. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Can’t View HOP Card *2026-08-17, version 1.46.0* I cannot view my HOP card on the app as it tells me it is not registered, and that to register it I must update my details in MyAT HOP first. However, when I go to do that, it just refreshes the page and the update never actually goes through, meaning my card just doesn’t get registered and I still can’t view it. Buses frequently leave stops before the scheduled time, which defeats the whole purpose of having a timetable. You end up missing buses even when you arrive early. On top of that, it’s not uncommon to see two buses of the same route arrive together — one packed and the other nearly empty. That just shows poor coordination. The biggest downgrade is removing clear arrival times from the app. Now users are forced to constantly monitor the app, which is impractical and stressful. A transport app should make commuting easier, not require full-time attention. Overall, reliability and usability have taken a hit. I use this mostly to track busses and trains rather than to plan journeys. ### 5/5 — Dangerous With No Seatbelts On The Buses *2026-06-13, version 1.44.2* I do love the AT Transit System but I wish the buses would have seatbelts for everyone’s safety, yesterday I was on the 11W heading to the city and we ALMOST had a crash because someone cut us off, so we braked VERY HARD and the horned blared til we stopped but due to that sudden stop, I went into the seat in front of me, not hurt but shocked because I didn’t see it coming.
