Would be even better if the QR code would actually scan. And it’s not the hospital menu, because my normal phone camera will pick it up and give me a link to click on (though it routes somewhere without access when you click on it through there). But the app’s scanner won’t focus unless you’re so far away it can’t pick it up, which renders this app useless. I wanted to like it. I downloaded it on the App Store and have not been able to properly scan the activation code. I think I scan it. It comes up tall, thin set some spend spoons until it goes back to scan screen. Aside from taking literally forever to load, I couldn’t get past the initial barcode scan. The app is so quick to scan the barcode that it doesn’t give time for the camera to fully focus on the barcode. Also, having to call the hospital to set up the ordering device is a very bad idea. Whoever developed this should be fired for not putting more thought into making this efficient. ### 1/5 — Guess no food *2022-06-30, version 1.0.5* The staff asks us to download this app to get food. But after you download app and then scan a QR code you're instructed to call a number. Then every time I tried to use it (several times over my mother’s inpatient stay), I got a blank error message. ### 1/5 — Fix it *2026-08-07, version 1.0.5* Can’t even get the QR code to scan so I can try to use it. ### 1/5 — Simply doesn’t work very well *2026-06-12, version 1.0.5* Most of the time the app just shows blank pages and blank options. When you try to add something to an order, it shows a blank error message. The whole thing is extremely poorly designed and poorly executed. Even when you CAN see options, it then shows missing information on the actual things that you’ve chosen. Overall this is a disaster of an application. The final nail in the coffin? When you click “App Support” it goes to a 403 error page saying “This application has been stopped”. Careless. ### 1/5 — POS *2026-02-20* Don’t bother, the app won’t scan the barcode/QR code. ### 1/5 — Useless app *2025-12-19, version 1.0.5* Won’t scan the barcode because the camera opens to the telephoto lens and the QR code is too blurry. You have to hold it far away to be in focus, then it’s too small. I took a pic of the QR code on another phone and was able to scan that. Then it gave me an activation code and said to call Food & Nutrition and tell them this code to activate the app. I don’t know the number for Food & Nutrition. Is it the hospital cafe? If I am calling the cafe, why do I need the app? The whole purpose was to not have to call anyone. ### 1/5 — Cannot activate with QR Code *2025-09-12, version 1.0.5* Could just be a glitch in the QR Code rendition, but it’s pretty basic to have an alternative means of activating the app. Wasn’t worth the money. I used it before and now at the hospital i’m at, i’ve activated the app twice and it goes through then doesn’t let me order. The hospital staff can’t help and there’s no way to contact anyone for the app so it’s pointless. I love that you can pick, customize and place an order. It also shows you where in process the tray is. No more sitting and waiting for what seems like an hour. I can watch and have an idea of when my food is getting to me.
