I know you get what you pay for, but 80 bucks a year is way too much. For 40 I’m there. 80….nope, sorry. Plus is it a MASSIVE battery hog ### 4/5 — Love it *2026-08-23, version 1.13* Now the second I bought the subscription i was loving it but when I searched for my hometown airport I needed a request (YVR Vancouver international Airport) so I started looking at YUL Montreal. YYZ Toronto. When you first sign up it prompts questions about education level and interests which gave me a false impression of some sort of education segment involved in using the app, but there doesn’t appear to be one at the moment. I feel like most of the content is self explanatory but I’m not going to “master atc”, as it suggested just by listening to audio clips. It’s really not a huge issue and the concept for this app is great regardless. You literally cannot use this app unless you do the “free trial, pay after a week” scheme. Like brother….let me try the app first before entering any type of card information. But nope. Will not let you pass go unless you put in a financial card. In less than 24 hours after using the app, I canceled the free trial because the app did not cover the airports. I was most interested in listening to. After seven days, I was billed $5.99 even though my Apple account clearly showed that the app was canceled and inactive. Apple refused to refund the payment simply stating that it did not qualify for a refund and gave no further details after appeal to Apple. They still refused to refund the payment again with no justification other than it did not qualify. The free trial is a total scam! ### 1/5 — Really man, in this economy? Beware: corporate greed at its finest *2026-08-26, version 1.13* We are all struggling so hard. You know that old song from the 20s that goes “the rich get richer and the poor get poorer”? The wealth gap is so so so so much bigger now. Judging by the amount of advertising and high reviews you have, yall have a large customer base, so you’re not struggling to pay for the app to run. Only allowing a free trial if you pre-commit to the YEARLY option is greedy on yalls part. You not only know, but rely on the fact that people forget to cancel their subscription. Especially those who are busy working to afford to eat. $90 isn’t a small amount of money for us. It would be so nice to have quick and easy access to listening to ATC, but not for the cost of a days worth of food per week. I want yall to genuinely think about the people. Give us some sort of free option to even OPEN THE APP, or at the least allow the free trial on both payment plans. You’d be just fine. The price as-is is insane. Be better. For the people. It’s so, so much more.
