## What is ATC Radio Trainer?

The popular iOS app ATC Radio Trainer now comes to the Mac. Study on your phone when you're out and about, then settle in for focused, distraction-free practice on the desktop. Buy Pro on either iOS or Mac and it unlocks on both with the same Apple ID.

Practical radio training for the everyday student pilot has long been in short supply. Practice the phraseology with audio and realistic radio-noise, then practice Readback with a Push-to-Talk workflow and automatic answer checking, to master "radio communications," one of the toughest gatekeepers early in pilot training. Even native English speakers struggle here, because radio phraseology and pronunciation differ from ordinary English, so it's valuable for native and non-native speakers alike.

Note: This app is for training and study only. It is not for real-world operations, navigation, clearance prediction, weather/NOTAM briefing, or operational decision-making.

• A big expansion of Taxi Trainer's airports — 30 U.S. (FAA) fields plus 30 international (ICAO) fields, including major training airports in Japan, Australia, the U.K. and more.
• A new Taxi Trainer mode, Taxiway Copy, trains the listening and short-term memory that taxiing demands, game-style. The RWY numbers and taxiway names in the clearance are read out one after another for you to answer; each level reads out more, so the difficulty climbs. Keep at it to sharpen your ear for the NATO Phonetic Alphabet and your short-term recall, and stay calm for the real thing.
• Taxi Trainer's readback grading is now more true to life. A wrong readback gets "Negative" — spoken just like real ATC — and the full clearance is re-read automatically, mirroring what happens when your readback is wrong during real taxi.
