### 4/5 — Good app but battery drainer

*2025-06-22, version 2.7.9*

I like this app and the workout methodology, but recently the app has been eating up most of my battery (#1 app usage on my phone with near-constant background usage). Not sure if something changed, but I’m considering uninstalling until it’s fixed. Happy to help debug if I can.

### 4/5 — More editing options needed

*2024-12-29*

The app per se is pretty well made and you are a able to get used to the to the user experience quickly. But what really bothers me since months is the lack of possibility to edit the workout days. It’s per default set to Mo, Wed & Fri. I think that this is one of the standard functionalities that every training (guide) app should come equipped with. I am happy to give 5 stars as soon as this is being added to the app.

And one more ask, as I am a product manager coming from a very customer focused company myself (like yours): can you have an open list of your “planned” (not commited) roadmap where registered users/customers could vote for new features? That would be great and would ensure helping prioritize the development team making the app even better and closer to the customer needs. Cheers!

### 4/5 — Great coaching but app needs improvement

*2024-12-09, version 2.5.2*

The coaches offer excellent feedback but the video uploads are problematic at times and it would be nice if the feedback for a particular exercise would appear on the page that the exercise loads rather than me digging through the chat history.

### 3/5 — Great content, not great format

*2024-11-23, version 2.5.2*

I really appreciate what ATG provides, so I signed up to support their efforts. However, I found the app less user friendly than just watching videos on YouTube and keeping track of workouts myself. I did not take advantage of the coaching much as I did not receive direction beyond instruction to watch the videos, which were difficult to find in the app. This is a high monthly fee to pay for a product that does not feel done.

### 5/5 — Drastically improved the quality of my life

*2024-04-26, version 2.2.0*

Fixed my legs and now I can hike and do strenuous outdoor activities without pain. Would recommend to anyone.

### 5/5 — Great app, great program, great support

*2024-03-23, version 2.0.1*

I've been doing ATG since November 2022 and I really find this to be not only the best and most effective workout routine/system for me but also one that incorporates similar philosophies on fitness and life in general. Some may find the repetitive alternating weeks of zero or standards a bit boring but you can always choose one of the MANY other fitness or sport specific programs on the app.

I've found the standards program something I can consistently do 5 days a week, I've had more gains in the last year than I ever had in my previous decade of lifting, some injuries (not all) have disappeared completely and have not retweaked or anything and most importantly I'm feeling stronger, healthier and I'm scoring more goals on the ice.

If you're thinking about starting ATG, I'd say go for it 100%, remove your tight and weak links while gaining flexibility and athleticism.

### 5/5 — Keeps getting better

*2024-03-06, version 2.0.0*

This is the best fitness app out there. Been using the app since it’s inception. With every update it gets better. Love getting the quick reply from coaches. The ability to track reps with weight helps see progression. Keep up the great work. My body has never felt this good!!!

### 5/5 — The best fitness app

*2024-01-29*

I been using the app since 9 months. Not only did it fix my torn meniscus and ACL sprain but I’m more strong and flexible than I’ve ever been. Shall continue with ATG for ever❤️

### 5/5 — Excellent app

*2024-01-25, version 1.9.5*

ATG is the best way to workout! The app works well. My only request is to be able to track two or more programs at once so I can have a my regular routine, one specialized and then also track my jump balance. In addition, I think we should be able to put the weight in lbs or kg.

### 5/5 — App and program are great.

*2024-01-21, version 1.9.2*

Both the app function and the content inside of the app are solid. Follow the program and you’ll see results!

### 5/5 — Great App! Looking forward to the next updates!

*2024-01-18*

Hey, I really like the program! Now that I've used the app a few times, I've come up with a few ideas for improving it.

It would be great if users could choose the between the US metric system and International System of Units. That way you don't have to convert during your workout. Secondly, as certain muscle groups have not been adequately trained for a long time (or ever) some indication of reference or starting weights for orientation for all exercises would be really great. The indication of percentages in relation to body weight works very well for me. It would also be good to know how and when the weights should be increased. Lastly I would suggest to add audio instructions to all the reference videos because the visual material alone is sometimes not enough to ensure that the exercise is performed correctly.

All in all: great app! Looking forward to my next workouts!

### 5/5 — It just works

*2023-12-22, version 1.3.6*

I had torn my meniscus it was terrible. Took me out of BJJ for months. Started this program I feel like my knees are bullet proof. I’m 42 and feel great. Love this!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Money grab, scammy

*2026-04-08, version 2.9.96*

This is just a money grab. If you have a tear it’s not gonna work . It’s scammy and always finds a way to take your money

### 1/5 — Weird support

*2025-12-23, version 2.9.4*

Hire normal support. What u have now is weird and as result bad for an end user

### 1/5 — Workout and program is great app needs major fixes

*2025-07-04, version 2.7.9*

No problem with the workouts but the app will fully drain my battery after opening it in the morning. 1 star to flag to developers

### 1/5 — This is the worst philosophy I’ve ever seen

*2025-06-01, version 2.7.7*

Let’s progressively put ourselves into more and more disadvantageous positions and you’ll grow strong. No! There’s a good reason for Thouasands of years doctors didn’t recommend putting yourself in these positions! From eastern medicine in Chinese practices for thousands of years to the most intelligent physical therapists and orthopedic surgeons do not recommend this style of training. If this truly was beneficial you’d have some doctors praising this instead it’s a bunch of influencers! I tore my labrum in my hip thinking this would help in some way. No it made it worse. No I have to live my life in pain because of this guy looking to money grab because brain decide to actually train for once.

### 1/5 — Amazing but unorganized

*2025-05-26, version 2.7.7*

Amazing exercises, philosophy and energy but horrible app design

1. Overwhelming amount of choices
2. Need a front and center beginner course without need to buy specialized equipment
3. Need basic progress layout
4. What is meaningful difference between my 30+ program choices
5. Simple GIFs of simple exercises would be nice to easily browse (I don’t want to watch a 1.5 min video to learn a new exercise)

### 1/5 — Couldn’t sign up on the app

*2025-03-23, version 2.6.2*

Tried to sign up but the app wouldn’t move past the continue page. Tried closing the app. Deleting and re-downloading. Restarting my phone. Would’ve love to try out the knees from zero plan but can’t get the app to work. 🤷🏻‍♀️

### 1/5 — Incomplete programs for sports players

*2024-12-13, version 2.5.2*

Amazing baseline workout programs but the app is missing a lot of sport-specific exercises professional athletes do on a daily basis

### 1/5 — $76 CAD + Tax/MONTH???

*2023-09-11, version 1.3.2*

$76 CAD + Tax/MONTH??? R U MOFOS ON CRACK?! 🤣🤣🤣

### 2/5 — good programs, coaches are a problem

*2024-03-17, version 2.0.1*

I decided to try this app a few months ago and I just wanna say the programs are great i have a lot of respect for the intent and the research that has gone into it, but the reason i decided to stop using it is because the coaches who you send your form into dont really give good advice, for example when doing an atg squat, which takes quite a bit of mobility to perform, my mid/lower back would tend to round which i noticed and have now fixed myself, but when the coaches saw my form they would just say its awesome without truly seeing the intricacies of the body's position, again i have a lot of respect for the intent and the wisdom that went into this but it is corrupted when the attention to detail, which is a huge factor in movements with big mobility demand, is neglected.

### 2/5 — Review

*2023-09-06, version 1.3.2*

Great program, you’ll be feeling better with any issues or pains you may have with knees and lower body. I wouldn’t recommend the app as it’s $59.99 a month when you can go on YouTube and get the same information and workout routine for free. That’s the reason for the 2 stars and nothing higher. I would recommend taking the routine from YouTube channel and then build it out on your routine schedule either Hevy app or some type of exercise app.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Incredible program and support

*2026-01-01, version 2.9.6*

It’s only been just over a month of using the ATG app and my knee pain has dramatically been reduced. I feel stronger and more stable on my right knee which I’ve struggle with for over a year with a patella tendon tear. The support and coaches are very hands on and will guide you through your journey every step of the way. Thanks Ben + ATG team for building this app from the ground up and making your programming accessible to so many people. You’re doing some incredible work. 🙏

### 5/5 — Great app, life changing programs

*2025-09-07, version 2.8.7*

The app itself is easy to use and navigate, the coach chat feature and form review videos in-app are really amazing. The subscription/programs side is awesome as well and life changing. No it is not cheap, but considering all the precious resources packed in there, it is worth every penny. Skip 1 restaurant meal, night out, or other per month and it’s paid, it’s worth it! It is not your usual workout program app, it proposes programs specific to muscle groups, abilities, joints/articulations, etc to help strenghten and develop specific aspects. For someone once very active and slowed down by injuries, this is helping me get back into it and rebuilding my body the right way to train without pain and injuries. This comes with a weekly email targeting a specific body part or exercise, going above and beyond on explanations and tricks, with photos and videos. In the app, every exercise has a very well made and clear video explaining what to do. Thanks ATG for helping me getting rid of my pains and getting my motivation back to push myself and take care of my body!

### 5/5 — Beer league hockey play feeling stronger than ever

*2025-08-31, version 2.8.1*

I started ATG 8 months ago. After these 8 months I feel like I’m reversing the aging process. I quickly identified areas where I was weak and my typical workouts were not cutting it. I play hockey 2 to 3 days a week at 35 and I found myself in more pain most of the time. After ATG I can go on the ice and really feel comfortable again. Feel great the next day but more importantly I feel like I’m able to keep up with everyone a little easier now with no change to my diet just ATG exercises 3 -4 days a week. This program really helped me and love how easy the app makes it with the coach improvements!

### 5/5 — Best Service

*2025-06-23, version 2.7.9*

Better service paying these guys $20 than paying my trainer $1,000. I think the real value is the constant communication with the team. I’ve honestly not gotten this much attention from anyone including gyms and personal trainers who I’ve paid a thousand dollars a month to train me. Don’t get me wrong, those trainers were good people. But they didn’t always keep me from being injured and they only really helped me while I was AT my personal training session, whereas these guys are texting me outside of my sessions to keep me motivated and answer any questions or concerns I have. I couldn’t pay ANYONE $20 to do that.

The general mentality is great. That A.) you CAN increase your ability in any motion, B.) not to work through pain, and C.) confronting any motion at your correct level will increase your ability. I wish I had been coached like this my whole life because I would have avoided a ton of injury and I would be ripped right now.

The people who answer my texts and review my videos seem really real, genuine and helpful. And you can tell everyone has been trained in the mentality of the above.

You send in your form videos and they review them and coach you as needed and answer questions. All your videos are saved in the chat to refer back to.

I would want (in addition to what they have): 1.) the ability to activate more than one program at a time because I typically need to do a main program plus an accessory program, and 2.) The ability to look back and see all my numbers for all exercises (maybe like an overall master grid? So, like a better history.)

I think that’s it. Keep up the good work guys!

### 5/5 — I LOVE IT

*2025-03-28, version 2.6.2*

You can tell these people really do want the best for you. It shows. I hate it when I see businesses(which is most) as a hollow shell just wanting to get your money with no real substance. It’s just flat out refreshing to be involved with a company that doesn’t pedistilize money. So greatful for this program.

### 5/5 — Life Hack 101

*2025-03-06, version 2.6.2*

Ben and his family have created an awesome company! I’ve been on the app for almost 5 years now. It’s taken back in time 20yrs and helped me find a better version of myself. This guy is some type of prophetic trainer!!!

### 5/5 — Incredible

*2025-02-18, version 2.5.7*

I’m only a week in and I already feel like a new person. All the pain in my back, knees, and neck are significantly reduced and I’m sure will be completely gone soon thanks to ATG’s programs. Even my hands are feeling way stronger and more agile it’s insane

### 5/5 — ATG awesome

*2024-10-03, version 2.4.1*

Really helped me with my mobility, the app is easy to use, trainers are pretty good at responding. Just an awesome app in general.
Been watching the videos for a long time on YouTube, but really helped me in more then just athletics but every day life!

### 5/5 — Amazing app! Crashing when logging workout

*2024-09-30, version 2.4.0*

Love the app and even my PT said to follow and do what this says to do. I’m 4 months out of ACL replacement surgery and building back stronger than I was before. I’m on 5-6 days a week. ***The app is crashing when I try to log my workout. Pls fix asap.*** This has become the core of my recovery. Also purchased the Nordic bench. Leg day everyday! Let’s go!

### 5/5 — Hip Replacement - No Problem

*2024-09-02, version 2.3.1*

I had my left hip resurfaced June 2024 and started PT 2 weeks later. Feeling unfulfilled with just PT, I lined up a daily ATG workout to supplement my PT. At 3 months I am MUCH further than the doctors expected and can return to playing full speed basketball at my morning run.

Oh and I turn 41 in a few weeks.
