Atheling is a historical text-based strategy game where real events are only the beginning. Become the King of England, make decisions, build a dynasty and see how far history can drift from the version we know. Each campaign starts with real people, real rivalries and real problems. From there, the outcome is yours. Replay as many times as you like, or sandbox the future far beyond the campaign. RULE, SURVIVE, CONTINUE Manage war, marriage, claims, relationships, legitimacy and succession. Your ruler will age and eventually die, but the game carries on. Children inherit. Rivals return.
