What a terrible experience. No easy dragging players for plays. Every button is tiny, every play menu is cumbersome. I would never be able to recommend this to any event, ever. ### 4/5 — Good overall *2025-05-14* I personally like this app overall, however there are some issues with the fan/parent/player functionality. The parent/player needs to be completely separated. As a coach I need to be able to create player profiles and assist with keeping the profiles updated much like sports recruits does. I have many people also confused on the fan accounts. Personally it was easy for me but I’m not intimidated by new platforms. The scorekeeping is fairly easy but would like the ability to drag the ball to where it was hit for proper spray charts. It would also be nice to drag the runners to the bases versus having to click directly on the runner. I am also a user of the V3 Camera, which is good overall but the resolution is too low. The device is completely locked which makes it difficult to transfer the local recordings off of it. Following my son’s summer collegiate team and you can’t look at stats or box scores or watch a game without subscribing to a service that still doesn’t work!! This is a terribly executed platform. I’ve been in IT for 35+ years and would have been fired if I’d ever allowed a product like this to be deployed to users. Tried tech support and they were anything but helpful. The only thing I can get to see is either a schematic of the field but recently I have seen a video, but there’s no score, no count, no inning. No way to know which team is up unless you know which color the team is which sometimes a grandparent may not know that. I feel like I’m wasting money on this app when I have GameChanger for her other Little League team and her sisters three teams. If you are going to monopolize the youth sports market by trying to partner with organizations and colleges and extort parents for money to follow and watch their kid, at least have a decent updated app. How can Game Changers interface be so good and cost $15 and this junk makes you pay $200? The app is junk. *2023-08-01* We have one son playing college ball and another in high school. So a combined 17 years of travel teams and school teams. This app is the weakest of anything we’ve had to use to follow a player over the past few decades and we were forced to pay $100 for the summer. The video player is dark. There is no stop/rewind/playback during a live game. It’s data intensive so you better be on high speed Wi-Fi remotely. You have to toggle between lineup, box score, or play by play. No season stats. No schedule/record. All that was stored somewhere else. But the worst is the play by play. After a decade of GameChanger and iScore, the designers and developers of this app really missed the mark. The new GameChanger with integrated live video and video clips blows Athletes Go Live away. ### 1/5 — Hands-down worst scoring app ever made *2023-07-06, version 3.9.2* Have used GameChanger for over 7 years and have a year of Sidelines HD under my belt and AGL is the hands-down the *worst* scoring app of the three, maybe the worst of all time. I build apps for a living as a technology professional, and I wonder who they hired to build this stinker of an app. User interface is stilted and counter-intuitive. Even after using this app for 18 months on a regular basis, it still takes 4-5X longer to score than with other options due to the interface. Lineups are incredibly difficult to adjust mid-game with poor support for DP/Flex and in-game substitution. Scheduling games is challenging - even finding the team you are playing can be difficult, especially if they (like most sane teams) don’t use AGL and don’t know their code. The ONLY advantage is that some tournaments use this application for leaderboard - not sure why, but my guess is AGL uses marketing dollars to get them to use the app. Lord knows an entire team doesn’t want to ask its families to pay $20/month per person to watch nieces, nephews and grandkids play ball. If that’s your situation, do what we do - score with traditional book or another app during the game, as it’s almost impossible to score in realtime with AGL. Then go home and follow your play by play record to score in AGL when you have time to deal with the super klunky interface so that your kids get their place on the leaderboard. Seriously, darn near the worst scoring app EVER - avoid like the plague unless absolutely necessary, ### 1/5 — Not worth the money *2023-07-05, version 3.9.2* For the amount they charge the services provided are awful. Streaming is not consistent and you have to log out and log in to refresh. Support just blames the streamer but the website is what kicks you out and locks up and says to wait for site to connect. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Terrible App *2026-01-02* This app pales in comparison to its competition. Scoring on it is not intuitive and the options on how to score different plays are not thought out properly. Viewing past games is buggy and there are appear to be workarounds on the built in security. Subscription plans make no sense as well as the three tiers are not thought out at all. The only reason why this app still appears to have a subscriber base is because they appear to have a deal with Alliance Fastpitch and have forced us to use it to allow us to qualify for nationals. ### 1/5 — Worst app ever! *2025-11-24, version 4.2.4* Compare this to GC and AGL will make you cry. They pocket all the money and zero R&D, no updates, but sales team does a great job telling you college coaches only use this! ### 1/5 — Finally done with the season *2025-11-23, version 4.2.4* We were on a new team and was told this app was the new thing and the way to go. WOW…not the case. There is nothing good about this app. Keep game changer…the season just ended and I was told we were going back to GC and it made my day. My daughter’s travel softball organization is making us use this app and it is absolutely horrible. First it’s over priced for what it is, second there is no scoreboard overlay on the live stream like they promise there is. It will show the game for a second or two, freeze and jump 5-8 seconds ahead. There is no box score, inning, or counts on screen and sound of the game wasn’t streamed. So with the glitching, you have no idea what is going on in the game. I was on my home wifi which is fantastic and fast, so I know it wasn’t my service. $10 for the month wasted… ### 1/5 — Don’t waste your money *2024-07-08, version 4.1.1* Don’t waste your money we paid for this for impact tournament. They broadcast the game on a iPhone, hung on the fence with bungee cords. Ran by high school kids just a money grab too.
