This app has been incredibly helpful for trying to live out the faith through prayer and education. I have a few apps that all are similar but this is the one I keep going to and I end up deleting the others. From specific prayers for access to the Bible Bible studies podcast like audio formats daily prayers daily burning about Saints and more. This app is incredible and it also visually looks amazing. Don’t support this blasphemy. And it’s not even a decent app. Bugs, expensive, hard to use. Please Apple Store don’t let these apps in to rip us off. ### 1/5 — Pretty sure the whole thing is AI… *2026-01-02* I’m fairly certain this entire app—all of the content, the images, the audio, and even the audio script—is generated by AI. Users have no idea who the people are behind the app, nor do we know who the speakers are in the audio lessons. Why? Because there’s no transparency, which leads me to be very suspicious of the person or persons behind the app. Everything about the app feels very generic, and the fact that they include an AI chatbot tells you everything you need to know about the app. Perhaps I’m wrong, but I can’t help but feel that this app is just a cash grab by some technobros who saw an opportunity to create an app for the Orthodox-curious by using LLMs to create all the content, with little if any input or guidance from the Church, Orthodox theologians, or Orthodox clergy. I paid for the premium version for a month to test it fully, and came away feeling that I’d been shortchanged. The bottom line is that no app or AI is a suitable replacement for Church membership and involvement, along with guidance from your local parish priest. Personally, I’d steer clear of this app, but that’s just my personal opinion. You’ll have to try it to see for yourself. ### 1/5 — Can’t get past AI *2025-11-14, version 2.8* The AI generated theological content makes it not feel trustworthy. Looks great but not usable. ### 1/5 — AI Blasphemy *2025-09-29* This app is very obviously created by AI and is definitely not overseen by someone who knows Orthodoxy. Another giant corporation with a lot of investors and money, having AI create what should be a sacred app but instead just preys on the Orthodox community. I can light a digital candle for 30 minutes if I pay them $50? Give me a break. This predatory app shouldn’t be allowed in the Apple Store. The Good Lord will take care of those responsible for such greed. **Developer response:** Dear brother/sister in Christ, we are just a small Orthodox startup, not a corporation. The “light a candle” feature is free for everyone and will remain so. Optional paid content like audio study Bibles helps us sustain the app, but most features are free. I am hoping this may change in the future. ### 2/5 — Nice but Bible is unusable *2026-04-28* This is a nice app but the Bible is buggy and severely lacking. Passages are missing. Sometimes the audio reads text that you can’t see. The audio is also weird because it takes long pauses at random points in the reading. No playback controls either—just play and pause. The biggest issue for me is that the scheduled prayers are not synchronized throughout the app. The prayer notifications often don’t open the correct prayer for the time of day, and this often doesn’t match the prayer showing in the home screen. **Developer response:** Thank you for your honest feedback, we really appreciate it. 🙏 We’re aware of the issues with the Bible (missing passages, audio syncing, and controls) and are actively working on improvements. If you’re open, feel free to reach out so we can learn more from your experience. ### 3/5 — An unfortunate bug or issue with some of the streak tracking…🙏☦️ *2026-07-29* I have been enjoying and appreciate the blessings of this Orthodox resource for supplementing my daily readings in the OSB, and beyond. However, even though there have been multiple times I’ve used the app consistently daily for 10-14+ days, the opening score keeping of “my daily streak” has been incorrect several times. It’s honestly annoying because I’m not using or reading the sources in the app as my ONLY source or guide to practice my daily Orthodox faith prayer rule, reading of Holy Scripture, etc. I don’t want or need a daily tracking system of streaks or judgments of “oh, you missed a day, but in grace, you can begin again “. I’m only concerned with pleasing and honoring GOD with my daily prayers, fasting, reading/learning from Holy Resources, thus I find the score keeping & “grace given” coming from an app a bit distracting and inappropriate. I do understand the intention is most likely to encourage users to focus on establishing good, consistent faith habits. I just personally feel the way this is tracked & especially the multiple numbers of times it’s actually been INCORRECT, could annoy or upset other users to the point of deleting the app. I hope & pray 🙏 it would not affect users negatively to the point of giving up the pursuit of daily faith pursuit of prayers, fasting and study ☦️🙏 **Developer response:** Thank you so much for your thoughtful feedback, and we're truly sorry for the frustration this has caused. Love the addition of the Psalter and of the preparation for confession. Only correction I might bring up is when you press the play button on the Psalter reading, it skips ahead one verse too far as it’s reading it to you. I don’t know if there’s a way to fix that or not but wanted to bring to your attention.
