Well! After downloading the AE app, proceeded to connect my devices. What a pain! It took the better part of a day 😫. First I had to downgrade my modem/router from 5G to 2.4Ghz.(bummer for my network). Most of the time the app/device would time-out so u must restart the process for each device which is very time consuming. However, once everything was connected, Happy Days!!! Set automations & scenarios, no problem. But recently my main electric supplier (peeco) suffered a brief power outage. Aww maan! What a ‘B’ to re-establish those connections. The camera came right back. One light came back after about 1-1/2 hrs. The second light took bout 3 hrs. The third is still out. This is very frustrating to have to go thru. The app shud be more intuitive like storing each devices info in case of situations like this power out. Plus, when the app says it’s found ur device and connecting it, it really is not-it just gets ur hopes up. It’s just a general popup msg when u start searching for the device. Messages shud be displayed as each phase is reached: ie. Device found; making connection; registering device, etc. Basically, I’m using iPhone not Android. Seems there’s more functionality and success with Android 🤔 (Apple being so proprietary!
