AtlasCam is a telemetry camera for rides and outdoor video: a live HUD with GPS, speed, heading, mini map, and weather, plus optional LiDAR depth on supported hardware—so your footage tells the full story of where you were and how you were moving.

Save to external storage
Plug in a compatible USB drive or external volume and save recordings where you want them—ideal for long sessions and large files without constantly clearing space on your iPhone or iPad.

Onewheel telemetry
Pair a Onewheel over Bluetooth to pull live board data into the same HUD pipeline you use for GPS. Use it while you record so your exports can show ride telemetry alongside map, speed, and environmental context—purpose-built for riders who care about what the board was doing, not just the view from the camera.

**Developer response:** Hey @EarthPerson01001, you need to export a video with the overlays to have them baked in. Let me know if you tried that and it failed.

### 1.43 — 2026-08-18

Move your HUD while you watch.

• Rearrange in Relive — drag any HUD widget to a new spot while a ride
  plays back. It's a way to try a layout without committing to it:
  positions last for the session only, your saved layout stays
  untouched, and "Reset widget positions" in the overflow menu puts
  everything back.

• Photos that match the viewfinder — saved stills now keep the margins
  you framed each widget against, instead of letting them drift as the
  HUD scales up to photo resolution. The mini-map keeps the exact size
  and shape you gave it on screen.

• Steadier mini-map resizing — the resize grip no longer stutters as
  you drag it.

### 1.42 — 2026-08-11

Cancel now works during export.
Tapping Cancel while overlays were being composited — the longest part of an export — used to do nothing, and the video finished and saved anyway. It now stops on the first tap, and the incomplete file is discarded.

Export problems are reported again.
After a single cancelled export, later failures — a full disk, a Photos permission issue, an encoder error — were silently swallowed and showed no message. You'll see them again.

Every stage of an export now has its own animated indicator, so one glance tells you which step is running.

Cancel an export any time
Changed your mind halfway through? Cancel now stops the render immediately, at any stage, and cleans up after itself — no half-finished files left behind.

Ride detail opens instantly
Opening a ride no longer waits on a blank screen. Your route is drawn the moment the screen appears while the map loads behind it, and ride data is now processed in the background so the transition stays smooth.

A cleaner Past Rides library
Ride cards have been rebuilt: stats sit along the bottom of the map, details are easier to scan, and nothing gets clipped. Opening a ride no longer flashes overlapping controls on the way in.

Clearer export progress
The progress sheet now shows only the steps it's actually running — no more "Rendering map" on an export without a map — and the progress bar tracks the real work more honestly.

Brighter, accurate map overlays

Map overlays in exported videos were coming out much darker than the map you saw in the editor — around half the brightness they should have been. That's fixed. Exported maps now match your preview.

See what your export is doing

Exporting a video now shows each stage as it happens: preparing, rendering the map, compositing overlays, and saving, with live progress. Turn on "Show map" to watch the Apple Maps frames as they're captured and see how far along your route the export has reached.

Smoother overlay motion, on every plan

Map overlays now render at 60 frames per second by default, up from 24, so map movement and gauges look noticeably smoother. This was previously limited to Pro and is now available to everyone.

Importing large clips

Bringing footage in from an SD card, external drive, or Files now shows real progress and can be cancelled at any point. Large imports no longer leave you on a blank screen with no way out.

Your trim is remembered

The export segment you set in the editor now persists between sessions, so reopening a ride keeps the range you'd chosen.
