Unfortunately though, the app is incredibly slow, to the point where I often think it’s frozen, but usually if I leave it alone - sometimes for minutes - it will continue. This applies at startup as well as when tapping on options, such as to look at the details of the air quality or scroll back in time. Every process is agonizingly slow. Also, the map of North America that is supposed to show air quality readings from users has never done so. I have my app set to share but it doesn’t even show my readings. I’ve used the app for about 5 years now and three iPhones over the years and always hopes that each upgrade to the phone and/or app would fix the problems, they they never do. Please fix the bug. For some reason, when I check any chart, there is a record of a whole hour. I check a record, let’s say, 9:01, there is a record of until 9:59. Time has not yet passed but there is a record. How? It should be a blank until time passes. Je m’attendais à une application plus professionnelle que ça avec le modèle Pro. J’avais des délai très long de synchronisation avec l’appareil sur mon iPhone 6 qui était bloqué à iOS 12, mais depuis que je suis passé à iOS 14 avec un nouvel iPhone, le problème est résolu. L’application sur la Apple Watch pas vraiment fonctionnelle ni très utile. ### 2/5 — Weird graphs, slow sync *2020-10-01* 1. Graphs x-axis for week: sun, tue, thu, sat. What about Monday? UX people eyes are bleeding 2. You cannot check air quality for last week, day or month. If it happens to be Monday you’ll see just one day 3. Sync is slow. It’s functional but unpredictable. Actual support for iPad would be very useful. An option to see AQI estimate might reduce confusion with values typically released by reporting agencies. Kitchen activity here can send AQS to zero (very heavily polluted air) due to PM rates. Air at that point smells but does not appear smoke filled. Zero on the AQI scale would be a really nice day. ### 2/5 — Practically useless *2020-01-29* The reason to have an apple watch app is to be able to check the meter reading without the iPhone. Why would I bother turning on the iphone, launch Atmotube app, then view the apple watch app? I don't want to see "no connection" on the apple watch - this is just pointless! ### 4/5 — Keeps crashing *2019-11-30, version 3.2.12* Bought the Atmotube just over 1 month ago and downloaded this app. Until about 1 week ago the app worked fine, but now often crashes and exits. It would, on connecting show ‘syncing’ and a percentage figure until it reached 100 % then change back to connected and show the Atmotube’s battery level. Now when it starts to sync, it stays at 0%, and on tapping the screen, which takes you to a breakdown of readings, when you tap the rotating sync arrows to show the date/time it’s syncing to, it’s showing dates in the future. It’s now reached December 2021 and 0% synced! This would continue forever, without exiting the app and starting again. I’ve tried re-booting the Atmotube, deleting and re-installing the app, but to no avail. Although it does show the current readings, the full history isn’t there. The Atmotube itself is good, but the app is now hopeless. Update 30/11/2019: The app continued as above after writing, trying to sync into the future, eventually getting well in the year 2023! However, it now seems to have corrected itself over the last couple of days, and seems to be fine, actually syncing history, not the future, and is showing the full history, when you tap the screen for a breakdown. Good when working correctly and have upped my rating. ### 5/5 — Strongly recommend *2019-03-14* Very nice and useful device. ### 3/5 — Still needs work on UI *2018-10-28* Doesn’t meet privacy concerns. There is no way to delete your data. User interface has many undocumented features. Settings aren’t clear as to what they do. The other reviews that talk about the short battery life have long ago been fixed in newer versions. Nach dem Starten der App friert diese erstmal für ein bis zwei Minuten ein um dann kurz zu funktionieren und wieder einzufrieren... Jede Sekunde Verzögerung ist inakzeptabel, das war vielleicht 2005 noch in Ordnung aber 2019 nicht. Ich kaufe mir keine teure Hardware (IPhone XS Max), damit eine App alles ausbremst. Gibt es denn keine Testläufe auf verschiedenen Geräten um Fehler zu finden? Ich kann das Atmotube momentan auf keinen Fall empfehlen, ihr werdet euch nur ärgern. Das macht echt keinen Spaß mehr. Die neue Chartdarstellung ist jetzt unübersichtlich, zudem muss noch extra gescrollt werden. Bitte dringend auf die bisherige Darstellung zurückstellen oder wahlweise änderbar gestalten. Gracias. [Actualización a 15/10/20] La aplicación sigue igual. Si han hecho alguna actualización desde luego no ha sido para resolver el problema de antiguos clientes. :( [Abril] Compré este producto hace algunos años cuando esta empresa necesitaba el apoyo de miles de clientes para subvencionar su proyecto a través de Kick starter. O sea que para centrar el problema, mi dispositivo es de la primera generación. Desde el principio el producto tuvo muchos fallos de software, incluso de diseño del hardware del dispositivo, que intentaban arreglar con el software. Pero versión tras versión fue mejorando hasta que más o menos funcionaba decentemente. En las últimas versiones de hace 1 año y medio aproximadamente el software no sincronizaba alguna que otra lectura, pero funcionaba bastante bien. ¿Que pasó? Pues que la empresa necesitaba más dinero, y sacó al mercado dispositivos más modernos olvidándose de sus viejos clientes. Cuando la empresa sacó al mercado nuevos dispositivos, su preocupación principal fue reparar los problemas de estos dispositivos actuales. Esto no lo digo yo, se deduce perfectamente de las palabras que tengo en emails de su departamento técnico. Nota: No puedo saber si los nuevos dispositivos funcionan igual de bien o de mal que el mío, porque yo sólo tengo el antiguo. Espero que hayan aprendido de sus errores con la primera versión…. Bien, hasta aquí, parecería algo razonable que la empresa dedicase sus recursos económicos principalmente a resolver las incidencias de sus dispositivos modernos. Pero el problema es que no decidieron hacer una nueva aplicación para los dispositivos modernos. Decidieron ir actualizando su única aplicación, para que sirviera para los dispositivos antiguos y para los modernos. Esto si se hiciera bien, podría ser hasta bueno. Porque permitirían a gente como yo tener una aplicación actualizada. Pero, como informático que soy de profesión, es imposible que cuando se está programando no se comentan errores. Y estos errores a veces son impredecibles. Mientras se está programando en una nueva mejora, sin darte cuenta se está estropeando otra. Y esto es lo que han hecho los programadores de esta empresa. Mientras se preocupaban de mejorar la aplicación pensando en sus nuevos dispositivos (palabras suyas de su departamento técnico), se han cargado completamente la compatibilidad con los dispositivos antiguos. Si esta empresa pensara en su clientes, clientes que apostaron por su proyecto inicial, ahora darían la importancia suficiente al hecho de que hayan dejado mi dispositivo completamente inservible. Ahora mismo mi dispositivo sólo sirve para tirarlo a la basura, o esperar meses rezando que la empresa decida arreglar sus propios errores de software. Un dispositivo por el que pagué más de 100€ hace 2 años aproximadamente. Hoy mi dispositivo no guarda ningún histórico, las gráficas de la aplicación no funcionan en absoluto, y da múltiples errores de sincronización entre el dispositivo y el software. Todo esto se lo he mandado por email a su departamento técnico hace un mes. Incluso les hice llegar videos que muestran el funcionamiento erróneo de la aplicación. Y su única respuesta ha sido que están preocupados por hacer compatible su aplicación con sus dispositivos actuales que tienen a la venta. Dicen que no se niegan a estudiar mi problema, pero que no me pueden darme fecha en la que podrán estudiarlo. Esto lo trasladé por email a soporte técnico el día 18 de Marzo de 2020. Hoy casi ha pasado un mes y sigo esperando. Me molesto en escribir esta opinión, para que los posibles compradores de este producto sepan a lo que se arriesgan. Se arriesgan a comprar un dispositivo que vale mucho dinero, y que muy posiblemente después de 2 años el fabricante les deje abandonado su producto igual que el mío. Pero cuando digo abandonar, no es que no haga más cosas. No, digo que por sus propios errores de programación les funcione peor su producto que el primer día. Y puede pasarles como a mí, que el fabricante les responda: “que no saben cuando se lo podrán resolver”, y eso sí “le invitan a comprar uno de sus dispositivos actuales con un super descuento del 25%”. Un descuento que se diferencia del 22% que en ese momento yo podía conseguir mediante cupones descuento en un 3%. Pero fuera ya de la ridícula propuesta de compensación que me trasladaron, está el hecho de que si el fabricante tuviera mucha intención de resolver mi problema, no me invitaría a que me vuelva a gastar otros 150-175€ en otro aparato… Menudo chollo si para usar sus productos estoy obligado a gastarme esta suma de dinero cada 2 años. Todo esto tengo correos electrónicos que lo atestiguan, por si no les gusta mi comentario y me intentan presionar para que lo quite. Dear developers, I would love to see if you can change couple of options: - visual graphic data chart, will be better to see line chart or bars instead of points. - option to completely disable alarm sounds, just keep push notifications alerts. (However I disable sounds in iOS notifications settings) Will also look forward to see quality CO2 tracker in new generation devices.
