The process of connecting to the scope is convoluted, instructions are poorly written, and support is unobtainable. ### 1/5 — Coyote Dr *2024-03-28, version 1.6* I have 3 of their products that have worked great for years, this last one has taken over a year and still don’t have number 4 going. #4 Started with a 4x40 Thor 4 and on the 5th one that ghosted out in the center, I couldn’t get a refund because of the time it all took, so I upgraded to a gen 5. The first one had to many issues to name and I have run #2 now for 2 hours and it will not stay connected to phone or iPad for more than a few minutes and will not stream at all. Not the same one I sent back that Alex said would be fixed and assured me that it would work as it should. This makes 7 new, out of the box scopes that do not work properly. I suggest anyone going with ATN to get a refurbished one, I think those are the only ones that actually get checked before they are sent out. The other 3 were refurbished ones. Come on ATN, new shouldn’t mean you got to fix it when you get it. R Rainey, if anyone from ATN wants to contact me, look me up in your files, I sure can’t get a returned call or even an email answer. ### 1/5 — Does not stream *2023-12-22, version 1.4.43* I paid $7,000 for XD5 and got this worthless app to go with it. ### 1/5 — Unable to view stream *2023-12-19, version 1.4.43* I tried viewing the stream for my Thor 5 and it does not connect. I am able to do everything else from the app except view the live stream. I am able to change the reticle on the app, as well as reticle but unable to view the stream. ### 1/5 — Will not stream Video. *2023-12-10, version 1.4.43* Will not stream video from Thor 5 thermal 640, this will be my 4th ATN nothing but problems, if this one doesn’t workout I’m am finished with them, I have been following ATN since they first hit the market, I really had high hopes for them but my expectations are starting to dwindle,this is turning into a nightmare, I will say the ATN store I went to in Lawrenceville GA has very friendly Staff and have tried to make up for my 4+ hour drive there and back Twice with some discounts and accessories but they don’t do me any good if the product doesn’t work as advertised. ### 1/5 — Will not stream video *2023-12-08, version 1.4.43* Will not stream video from ATN Thor 5 to phone on app. Loses connection easily and have to try several times to get it back connected. ### 1/5 — Loops on settings *2023-12-07, version 1.4.43* Have x sight set with WiFi on right SSID & password. But the app just keeps cycling to iOS network settings, iOS connects to the scope but app won’t. Been this way with every firmware update! And now the scope doesn’t even have any reticles after the newest firmware version update! ### 1/5 — Not ready for prime time *2023-10-23, version 1.3.125* Although it connect, streaming takes forever to connect on new iPhone and there is about a 5-10 second lag from scope to screen. This was the feature I was most interested in so I can keep eyestrain at a minimum waiting to spot my hunts. Returning my X site 5 as this is the second ATN I buy that just doesn’t work as advertised. This is very inconvenient ### 1/5 — Broken app *2025-11-21, version 2.0* Won’t work until you signup for stuff you don’t want. Try to sign up and it won’t send you the email. Impossible to use in its broken state. I really like the design and usability of it. Easy to use, intuitive and looks great. It is such a great addition to the X-Sight 5. Being able to control the scope, change settings and live stream is incredible! ### 5/5 — Works great with the X-Sight 5 *2023-08-11, version 1.3.125* Had a chance to put the application through it paces with my X-Sight 5 running firmware 5.1.04.461. What I tested creating and renaming profiles. Uploading a test reticle to the sight. Swapping reticles. Switching profiles. Streaming video, recording while steaming video. The only issue I had was while streaming at 4k I hit record on the scope and it locked up. I hard powered it off and back on. Tried the test several more times without issue. ATN did a much better job on this app. 2 things I wish were different, first not reticle in the shared image on the phone, 2nd you cannot download footage directly from the scope to the phone ### 2/5 — Poorly Designed App *2025-03-11, version 1.8* Spent thousands on my Thor 5, was looking forward to the app “features”…the only thing that works is the reticle editor…everything else about this app for iOS is junk. Therefore I am not allowed to connect to my network AND the Thor 5 at the same time.
