I called tech support and they helped me work through the WiFi connection process. The manual doesn’t make it easy to connect the app to the scope. Finally *2024-12-19, version 2.0* Version 2.0 works on my XS max. 1.7 was the last one I was able to use. I’m turning off automatic updates and sticking with this one. Still frustrated with app support because of the two or more months of not knowing if it would ever work on my phone. ### 1/5 — Version 1.9 is not any better *2024-10-14* After reading a five year old review about this app, I can confirm that it still drops WiFi and freezes. Makes using the app to change any settings on the scope very sketch. Contacted support by phone and by email. Not sure who I had in the phone a few weeks ago, but still waiting on that call back. Email goes to Kelly Mullin and she has an automatic reply “out of office” set up. That’s real nice. Hope nothing goes wrong with the ATN scope, I can see what I’m in for. Talk about dead on. So this year I went to use it and the third time the screen would not power on, I contacted customer support , they talked me through a fix, which did not work. They had me send my scope to them and they sent me a brand new replacement still wrapped in the box. A+++++++++ service. I highly recommend any ATN product. THANK YOU ATN!!!!! ### 5/5 — FPS 30 or 60 to function *2022-09-28, version 1.7* App would connect but nothing in the app would work until I set the FPS to 60. I believe the default is 120 for good scope viewing but if you want to connect to the app change it down to 60. (ATN x-sight 4K Pro 3-14X) ### 5/5 — I’ve had no problems so far *2022-06-09, version 1.7* I recently bought a Thor 4 640 1-10x and I was a bit worried after seeing the reviews here that I had just dropped a significant amount of money on a thermal scope that claimed to have a lot of smart features but wouldn’t deliver. Upon unboxing I followed all the instructions on set up and I was able to fairly quickly figure out how to connect to the scope with the app and I was able to get all the features working. (Bonus points to ATN for sending me a scope that was current on the firmware so I could skip the updates) Of course this was at home without having mounted the scope yet so I decided to take it on a hunt first before making up my mind. I arrived at the lease before even mounting the scope but once I got it mounted I read the manual for about 15 minutes to figure out how to use the one shot zero. (Probably should be aware that you need a thermal target to one shot zero, wasn’t quite one shot using a cold water bottle in front of a paper target but… more user error in that situation) after zero I went and set up in a field in the back of the truck and was able to clearly see out over the feeders and trees. I then tried to use the smart features and had no problem connecting to the scope on my phone with zero cell service. I used the remote viewing, played with various color and reticle settings and was able to take pictures and record videos on the scope and send them all to my phone in seconds. If you’re reading most of the reviews here you’re probably worried like I was but based on my experience, they’ve worked all the software kinks out by now and this is a pretty legit scope and app. ### 5/5 — Amazing *2021-12-12, version 1.7* Very good I can’t see what is wrong ### 5/5 — Scope locking up with no changes *2019-11-10* I also had the same problem. Figured out how to work around - performed an “Apply” after each line change and never had a “freeze” again. ### 5/5 — Just got it because of Big Brother really being Big Brother *2019-09-07* Never used it and don’t have applicable optics, but I detest what our fine “government” is trying to pull. How about actually enforcing existing laws against actual criminals? I have friends that are cops in STL and DC— both have the same story— being on parole while committing felonies generally just gets you more probation. Both say they virtually never arrest someone who hasn’t been arrested before. How about working on that list? ### 5/5 — Best scope calibration tool for training insurgent forces *2019-09-07* When abroad in any terrain, I have found this app the best at calibrating scopes. On burner phones or even my actual phone, this app performs great.
