## What is Atoms?

Atoms date finds the rare person who actually fits you — no browsing, no swiping, no photo feeds. Your photos are shown only to ID-verified members with a face photo of their own — on a match proposed to you both, and in the match that follows — never in a feed (a face photo is needed before you can say yes to one), and no contact opens until both people pass government-ID verification. Matches carry a 72-hour window toward one real meeting.

## Pricing and in-app purchases

Base price: Free.

**One-time purchases**

| Purchase | Price | Type |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Identity Verification | $4.99 | one-time |

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.1.4 — 2026-10-14

• Partner links: link with the person you're with and both see how your relationship works
• Understand your partner, deeper: sixteen questions for a steadier read, a new question to ask them each week, and the option to keep your result on your phone
• When you'd like to meet someone, say yes — they're told, and your match moves up their list
• You're told when someone asks to add you to their circle, and a badge shows requests waiting for your answer
• Once your ID is verified, "That's not me" under Your element shows another take
• If part of the Grow tab is slow to load, the rest still shows, with a way to try again
• See how you and another member might get on: type their display name. Both of you need the ID check, they see nothing from your profile, and you can turn insights about you off in Profile
• Your matching settings in one place on the Matches tab: Dealbreakers (who is never proposed to you) and Preferences (what matching leans toward)
• Add your own to your card: name another instrument, type skills and things you've done, or write your own answer to the $200 question
• A new chat says when your match would like a short video call first
• More languages and more meetup activities to choose from
• The Matches tab appears straight away while your matches load
• A card says when there's no photo yet, and filter counts are easier to read
• Start as friends: on a proposed match, you can answer "Start as friends" instead of "I'm interested"
• Photos on proposals: ID-verified members with a face photo of their own can see your photos on a match proposed to you both
• Take your face photo with the camera, then add up to two more from your library
• Report or block straight from a proposal card or its photos
• Icebreakers in your match chat: Pick a plan, Ask a question and Tell a joke
• New optional dealbreakers: time on video games, social media, TV and watching sports, and keeping up social media profiles
• "Wrong timing for me" now lapses after about three weeks; "Not for me" still lasts. Undo a pass from Recently passed
• Choose the lowest tier you'll be proposed, and see which of your own settings are narrowing your proposals
• The questionnaire has examples, a "doesn't fit me" choice and new statements, including friends, time on your own, meeting halfway and respect when angry, and you can change your answers twice every 90 days
• Three quick questions about how you like things to run
• Optional details for your card: the instruments you play, when you're usually free, whether you'd like a video call first, your education, and where $200 to spare would go
• Your game badges show on your card only if you choose
• After your date, four optional questions about how it went
• Search area: Metro area by default, or City to stay within your city
• One set of names for match strength across the app
• Please agree to our updated Terms and Privacy Policy to keep using the app; a short summary shows what changed
• If you buy the ID check, you can cancel within three business days for a full refund
• Clearer messages when something isn't available on your account
• If something goes wrong, a friendly screen with a way to try again
• App updates now arrive only through the App Store
• Sharing your verification between Atoms apps: clearer consent wording
• Privacy: unused permissions are gone
• Safety tips: more advice for meeting in person, and Connecticut's safety notice

### 1.1.3 — 2026-09-27

• Your questionnaire answers now count in finding your matches
• Popups say what didn't happen and what to do next
• Your .edu or work badge can be changed or removed
• Sharing between Atoms apps: see exactly what you agree to, and a shared verification arrives on its own
• The questionnaire opens with a short introduction, and your answers are saved page by page and on your phone — closing the app no longer loses them
• Confirming your answers locks them in one step; Your Element and your Match Guide open without a second confirmation
• Your answers now appear as a section of your profile
• Closed and timed-out proposals move under a collapsed Past section on the Matches tab
• Your circle filter starts off, and asks once when the first person joins your circle
• Terms and Privacy now open the current version from atomsapp.co, so what you read in the app is always up to date
• How you two work: a private reading for two linked members — what works, what to watch, one thing to try
• Request a copy of your data from your Profile
• Library articles read cleanly at larger text sizes

### 1.1.1 — 2026-09-21

• Your identity check is now the only door in — one check opens Atoms - date, meet and build
• Not ready to verify? Look around first — your matches are held for you
• Understand your partner stays free for everyone, before any check
• A chemistry questionnaire with a private mirror — it seals once your element or Match Guide has read it
• A settings screen for your matching preferences
• Voice and video calls in the app; share your date plan with your circle
• Report and block from the chat menu; a check-in after your date
• A face photo is now part of saying yes — your match sees it only once you both have
• Three one-minute games, with a compact badge you can hide or reset
• Keep your account when you change phone numbers — and a quick check if a number comes back after a long break
• A new app icon, readable rarity tiers in the light theme, and a clearer note on what a tier means
