## What is Atrest?

Atrest is for the moment you want to vape and don't want to.

Open it and there's one thing waiting: a three-minute ritual. A tree
grows while you wait. It asks you nothing and it isn't a distraction —
it's something to do with the next few minutes, and something to look
at afterwards that wasn't there before.

Keep the tree or don't. Share it or don't.

WHAT'S IN IT

— The craving ritual. Three minutes, no input needed, a different tree
  every time.
— Two clocks: how long since you started, and how long since your last
  slip. Both are only numbers.
— A calendar you can mark honestly. Logging a slip costs nothing and
  takes nothing away from you.
— A line about who you're becoming, in your own words, that you can
change the moment it stops being true.
— Notes, typed or spoken, that nothing reads but you.

WHAT ISN'T IN IT

No scores. No badges. No leaderboard. Nothing that turns a bad day into
a number you have to look at afterwards.

PRIVACY

Everything stays on your phone. No account, no sign-in, no sync, no
analytics, no third-party code of any kind. The app makes no network
requests at all. Voice notes are written out by your own phone and are
never sent anywhere.

FREE

All of it. Nothing to buy, no subscription, nothing held back.

Atrest is not medical advice, treatment, or a diagnosis of anything. If
you want clinical help with nicotine, a doctor or pharmacist can point
you to it.
