## What is Atreus?

Atreus is the training log for people who take the gym seriously: record every set in two taps and let the app handle the arithmetic, the progression and the memory.

BUILT FOR THE GYM FLOOR
• Weight, reps and effort (RIR or RPE, your call) on a single row per set.
• See what you did last time and that exercise's history without leaving.
• Warm-up sets, drop sets, rest-pause and supersets.
• Plate calculator, a suggested warm-up ramp and one-tap exercise swaps.
• Weighted, bodyweight, assisted, timed and cardio: each mode asks only what fits.
• Per-exercise notes: the seat hole, the bench height.

YOUR REST TIMER ON THE LOCK SCREEN
The countdown keeps running on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island: you see what's left without unlocking, and the alert fires with the app closed.

A PLAN THAT ADAPTS TO YOU
• Training blocks (mesocycles) for strength or hypertrophy, with accumulation, intensification and deload weeks.
• The app suggests weight and reps for every set from your previous performance and effort.
• Readiness check-in: tell it how you slept and the session adjusts itself.
• Impossible day? Skip the session without polluting your history.
• Rather freestyle? Free mode rotates your own routines with no plan on top.
• 11 preset programs for 3, 4 and 5 days a week, each with a recommended level.

167 EXERCISES WITH TECHNIQUE GUIDES
Every exercise ships a guide: muscles worked, biomechanics, setup, execution, grip, common mistakes and breathing.

PROGRESS YOU CAN MEASURE
• Estimated 1RM, records per rep range and automatic PR detection.
• Monthly calendar, analytics per exercise, per muscle and overall.
• Weekly volume per muscle against its productive range, tonnage and calories.
• Compare two blocks and see what actually changed.

CARDIO IN THE SAME SESSION
Treadmill, bike, elliptical, rower, stair climber or jump rope, with speed, incline, level and distance. Next to your lifting, not in another app.

BODY TRACKING
Bodyweight, measurements and progress photos with a before/after comparator. Your photos stay on your phone.

TRAIN WITH OTHERS
• Six strength ranks, computed against your bodyweight.
• Friends, a leaderboard within your circle, achievements, avatars and an activity feed.
• Share routines with a link or publish them to the community catalog.

YOUR DATA, ON YOUR PHONE
• Works offline: everything is stored on the device and syncs when you have a connection.
• Backup, cloud restore and CSV export.
• Coming from another training app? Import your history from its CSV.
• Your bodyweight and sex never leave the device.

English and Spanish, kg or lb, cm or in.

ATREUS PRO (optional)
The core is free: logging, history, blocks, analytics, sync, friends, ranks and unlimited custom exercises. Pro adds the AI and the extras:
• Bring the routine you already train: paste the text or photograph it and the AI builds it for you.
• Let the AI design your whole training block around your equipment and your time.
• AI Coach: analysis of your progress and a chat for your questions.
• Weekly adjustment, a deload week built for you and a close read of one lift.
• A substitute on the spot when the machine is taken or something hurts.
• Training watch: it tells you when a lift stalls or a muscle drifts out of range.
• An automatic report when a block closes, and goals with projection.
• Progress photo overlay, premium share cards, exclusive themes, colors and app icons, and a gold frame.

Atreus Pro is $4.99 per month and renews automatically. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase and renews unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the period. Manage or cancel it in your Apple Account settings.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.1.44 — 2026-09-28

Atreus learns to train around what hurts.

Body tracking has a new section, Injuries and niggles. You log the zone by tapping it on the figure, front or back, or by picking it from the list: neck, shoulder, elbow, wrist, lower back, hip, knee, ankle and the muscular ones, from the pec to the calf through the lats, traps, triceps, abs and quads. You say which side, how much it limits you, since when and, if you like, a note in your own words.

From there the app works with it. In the session, every exercise that loads that zone carries a badge: red when the injury is active and the load is high, amber when it only brushes it or the zone is improving. Tapping it opens the substitutes with the zone already written into the note and the list reordered so the ones that load it sink to the bottom without being hidden; when you pick another, you can mark that the original bothers you and Atreus remembers. The same mark shows in the exercise picker and when editing your routines. The AI Coach receives the zone, the side, how limiting it is and the exercises you marked, and proposes training around it. It never diagnoses or treats: that is for a professional.

Every time you start a session, the readiness sheet asks how each open zone feels, one to five, and you can skip it. What you answer shapes that day's badge: if nothing bothers you today, moderate-load exercises go quiet and high-load ones warn in amber. The injury's card draws how it has felt over recent sessions and, after three pain-free sessions in a row, suggests marking it resolved. It only suggests: you change the status.

In Analytics, below total tonnage, a new card shows how much work went through each zone over the last eight weeks, with the weeks the niggle was open coloured in. And the end-of-block report takes into account the injuries that overlapped the block.

From History, an exercise note where you wrote down a niggle can become an injury with one tap. Injuries sync with your account and travel in the backup, so a new phone does not lose them.

Also in this release: your profile weight and your body-tracking weight are the same number. Typing a weight in the profile logs a weigh-in for today, and weighing in from body tracking updates your strength rank, calories and the widget. And in quick workouts the rest timer starts again when you tick a set; it stayed silent because the session thought it was the last one.

In Analytics, the Muscles tab now puts weekly volume per muscle group at the very top, the reading that answers whether you are under or over on sets, and the charts are lighter to open. Starting a session no longer hangs for an instant, and the clock no longer repaints the whole screen every second. The guided tour runs smoothly: the spotlight opens as each screen arrives, and if you have already completed your first steps, the tour no longer walks you through them.

### 1.1.43 — 2026-09-07

Atreus now has a referral programme.

Your account gets its own friend code, shared from Profile as a link or as plain text. When somebody joins with your code and actually starts training, you earn 7 days of Atreus Pro. That is 7 days per friend, up to ten friends, so there are no dead steps between rewards: every single one counts. Reach ten and a full extra month of Pro arrives with the AI Coach included.

The days are a balance, not a countdown. They only start being spent if you have no active subscription; while you are Pro they sit banked and wait, so the reward still means something for the people who bring in the most friends.

For a friend to count they have to train for real: three finished sessions, on three different days, with a week or more between the first and the last. The code itself only works during an account's first 72 hours.

There are also three emblems for your avatar, at the first friend, the fifth and the tenth, plus a screen that draws the road and what is left to the next one. The emblem shows on your profile, on the strength leaderboard and in your friends list.

Fixes in this release: your strength rank could stop appearing on the routines you publish even though your profile and the leaderboard still showed it, and it was a state that could not heal on its own; it now repairs itself as soon as you open your profile. And the referral emblem took until an app restart to show up on the leaderboard and in the friends list.

### 1.1.42 — 2026-09-07

A release devoted to interface polish.

The tab bar is no longer a panel glued to the bottom edge: it now floats as a capsule with content passing underneath it. On iPhones with a home indicator that reclaims the black strip that sat below the labels and was neither bar nor content, so the screen is used in full.

Text sitting on top of your accent colour is now always readable. It used to be fixed white, which was close to invisible on the lighter accents (lime, cyan, jade or the default green); the app now compares both contrasts and picks light or dark ink to suit the colour you chose, including any shade from the Pro colour wheel.

If you have "Reduce motion" turned on in your phone settings, the app stops sliding screens and cards around and cross-fades them instead. The rest timer bar keeps moving as usual: it is not a transition, it is the only way to see how much rest is left.

And with the system font size turned up, labels no longer get clipped mid-word and the set table header no longer drifts out of line with the fields it labels.

### 1.1.41 — 2026-09-06

-Pause a workout and pick it up later — paused time doesn't count.

-Fixed a bug that could delete your in-progress workout when you came back to the app.

-If your cloud has routines and blocks you haven't restored, this phone now warns you first.

-Records and target weights no longer count unfinished sessions.

-Edit the duration of a saved session.

-Smoother transitions.

### 1.1.38 — 2026-09-05

Atreus 1.1.38
