### 3/5 — Not able to connect with Apple Watch for heart rate

Not able to connect with Apple Watch for heart rate

### 3/5 — Limited

*2026-03-22, version 3.4.2*

Works well with indoor cycle. Limited virtual rides. No new uploads.

### 2/5 — Clunky

*2025-12-14, version 3.4.2*

Clunky app, does not connect well to Apple Watches. Never seems to be able to collect hate rate data.

### 3/5 — Missing Exercise type for Apple Health

*2025-10-15, version 3.4.2*

I both walk and jog, but I can’t see any support for an Indoor Walk when used in conjunction with Apple Health and a treadmill. As a result I get more accurate data when bypassing the app, and just use my Apple Watch to track a walk.

### 3/5 — Needs more customization

*2025-06-06, version 3.4.0*

I would like to be able to make custom workouts with more than 10 segments, and I would like to be able to save them to a list of custom workouts. We should also be able to set the incline of the segments. I would also like to be able to see my average heart rate in each segment in the workout summary after the workout is complete.

### 3/5 — Great App … workout summary data inaccurate!

*2025-04-10, version 3.3.0*

Oct’24 : I use atZone with my Matrix ICR500 bike (which is excellent!)… atZone syncs with Apple Fitness…

During workout the atZone shows live KCals whilst working out (increasing like distance through the workout) - at workout end it then offers a ‘useful’ summary.

Now the issue!! - during the workout it claims 210kcal … a second after the workout ends the summary appears - records only 156kcal! ..
…in this case robbing me of 54kcals! - about 1/3 of the workout kcals! (Which is the figure that goes into Apple Fitness!!)

There seems to be no correlation between kcal in workout and what is in summary - I think there must be a bug! - but as such it renders all my workout records worthless! (It’s so bad I’ve taking a screenshot of as close to the end if my workout to record me efforts).

Feels like a great product is being ruined by buggy software - please fix (and better still offer a data export function so we can check the app’s maths please!?)

I have raised a ticket - with no response to date… thus one star (sadly).

April25 : Many months pass, and app updates … no response as to why the app records a +20% calorie burn than it shares with Apple health (sometimes)… and now a 5mile exercise period now stops at 4.5 miles… basic maths seems to defeat this app…

Want accurate measurements to check in progress - my advice on 9+months… avoid this app and all Matrix products that require this app…. Real shame the app doesn’t match the excellent quality of the physical gym products - as is it VERY inaccurate.

The app vendor either ignores reviews - and offers no support or fix - based on my experience so far…

Please take this into consideration before purchase of equipment that requires this software…

### 3/5 — Great app but

*2025-02-11, version 3.2.1*

Great app- had no problems with connecting to bike and the workouts are very enjoyable. The problem is the Apple Watch doesn’t always connect so heart rate doesn’t show on the workout screen. How do I get it to work?

### 3/5 — App gets stuck

*2024-12-23, version 3.1.2*

Whilst I love the graphics on the app video, the timer, resistance, cadence, etc all STOP working between 2:31 and 2:57. The video continues to play but the rest of the information is frozen. Please fix ASAP. .

### 1/5 — November 2024 Updated Ruined App

*2024-12-11, version 3.1.2*

The November 2024 update ruined the app. It no longer stays paired with Horizon treadmills, stops recording your run without telling you - and if some how all of that doesn’t happen, it pushes wrong stats to Workout/Apple Health apps.

Really disappointed that the app has been completely ruined. Don’t understand how problems this bad slip through QA and get published.

Don’t use this app, it’s trash, and will ruin your runs.

### 1/5 — Great App … workout summary data inaccurate!

### 1/5 — App does not work with Apple Watch Ultra 2

*2024-09-10, version 2.3.0*

App crashes and get stuck on Ultra 2

### 1/5 — Not interactive

*2024-08-11, version 2.3.0*

Connects to my bike, displays stats ok, but video just runs at constant speed and keeps going even if I stop pedalling. Resistance increases when video shows a flat landscape and decreases when it is plainly going uphill. I can’t see the point of this app.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — very unstable

*2025-12-14, version 3.4.2*

The Phone app frequently got disconnected from the Apple Watch to obtain heart rate. The target heart rate mode sometimes fail to automatically reduce treadmill speed when heart rate is higher than the target. It just terminates the workout.

### 1/5 — Won’t connect to machine

*2025-12-01, version 3.4.2*

Useless as won’t connect via Bluetooth, the whole reason for buying a Horizon treadmill was to get connected to zwift etc. Utterly useless now.

### 1/5 — Missing Exercise type for Apple Health

*2025-10-27, version 3.4.2*

I both walk and jog, but I can’t see any support for an Indoor Walk when used in conjunction with Apple Health and a treadmill.

As a result I get more accurate data when bypassing the app, and just use my Apple Watch to track a walk.

Removed the app completely. After a bit of use, I have found it to be pointless.

### 1/5 — No delete option

*2025-08-31*

Really frustrating to use, the app somehow glitched and recorded over 100 - 0 second workouts in 1 minute, there is no way to delete workouts from the app so the average of all workouts is messed up. I reached out to support with absolutely no guidance or direction on how to manage this issue. Pretty basic app and when it fails to do even the minimum required it’s just frustrating.

**Developer response:** Dear Customer,

Thank you for your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you’ve experienced. Our development team is already working on resolving this issue, and an update will be released soon.

In the meantime, if you’d like us to remove the blank records in the meantime, please reach out to our customer support team, and we will address this request as quickly as possible.

Thank you for your patience and support.

### 1/5 — Last updates cut runs short

*2025-04-16, version 3.3.0*

Since the update using distance goal the app is stopping my run 1/2 to a full mile short. This is not good when I am trying to reach a distance then I have to go back and restart a run to get the missed distance

### 1/5 — Z-Points are a major issue

*2025-01-25, version 3.2.0*

Sure it’s alright at the start. But for the quality of the app and how little “virtual active” rides there are it can get very redundant doing the same 60 minute ride (there’s only one location option for the 60 minute virtual active workout).
There isn’t a way to purchase Z-points on the app or in the App Store, so once you run out you’re stranded and cannot do anything. The app tells you to go on the App Store to get them and the App Store tells you to go on the app to do it. Customer service has been 0 help the two times I called them. I emailed them as well and they don’t even know their own app and suggested I was using the Zwift app (suggests they don’t even know their own app). So now I’m stuck and can’t do any workouts with no way to get more points.
The cost of Z-points after you run out is astonishing from the prices listed. I will now have to pay almost $5 a week to refill on points, and that seems like a scam having already bought the bike and the low-quality of the app and customer service. Highly disappointed.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2025-01-15, version 3.2.0*

Was looking for an app to use with my treadmill and Apple Watch but I can’t get this to work. Still searching for an app to log walks using my treads info and my watch’s HR without being in a “class.”

### 1/5 — Horizon7.0IC

*2025-01-09, version 3.2.0*

It’s been a couple of frustrating weeks trying to get my bike to link with heart rate monitors or even find out how to coordinate the virtual (pretty scenery) elevation changes with the resistance settings. They do not jive. Settings change on a whim and sort of takes me by surprise, especially if your are expect a flat section and you get a hill. The bike is fine. Horizon is sending me a new heart rate monitor and bike computer, we will see….

### 1/5 — Performance

*2024-12-27, version 3.1.2*

App locks up during Virtual Active.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great App to use with a treadmill

*2026-06-06, version 3.4.2*

This app works perfectly with my Horizon 7 treadmill. I love how it automatically changes the incline so seamlessly with no jerks or bumps, it’s super smooth. The walking trails are great and give me something to look at while walking. There are no monthly subscriptions either ❤️

### 5/5 — Great for incline training

*2025-09-12, version 3.4.1*

App is great for incline training, support is really diligent in fixing issues and rolling out updates, no bells or whistle just great at tracking progress, calories, intensity and duration.

### 5/5 — T202 Treadmill

*2025-01-21, version 3.2.0*

I hope there’s an AI feature that can adjust the interval run speed and duration based on my progress to help me improve

### 5/5 — Adding running plans

*2025-01-16*

Having more running training programs, such as interval running plans, would be even more attractive

### 5/5 — Feature request

*2025-01-08, version 3.2.0*

Would it be possible to add the Norwegian 4x4 workout for treadmill training? Options should include setting preferred incline and speed during work segments. Overall a good app.

### 5/5 — Easy functions

*2024-06-03, version 2.2.1*

I love the way it auto connects to my treadmill and will remember my start workout speed

### 5/5 — Great App

*2023-05-09, version 1.8.0*

Easy to use and connects with most Horizon and Matrix Home products. Gives you additional virtual workouts which is why I downloaded!

### 4/5 — Good workout app

*2025-11-10, version 3.4.2*

Needs a few more integrations and features but overall is a good app. Love that it syncs with my Apple Watch and Strava app

### 4/5 — Bug fix

*2024-12-13, version 3.1.2*

After the last update it keeps disconnecting from my treadmill now and doesn’t record my workouts

### 4/5 — Sending double workouts

*2024-01-28, version 2.0.1*

I like how the app connects to my Horizon 7.8 treadmill to keep track of workouts. Unfortunately, the app is sending double workout data from my iPhone and Apple Watch. The app has the accurate distance but is labeled as an outdoor run. The Apple Watch data doesn’t include distance, but does record it as an indoor run. It would be nice to have a fix for this redundancy because I do like the app.
