### 5/5 — Handy app

*2023-11-13*

Very useful to quickly review all the music apps on your device. It stops me overlooking to use apps I haven’t used in a while and might otherwise not use as much as I should.

### 5/5 — Exportable text file would be nice for me. Any chance?

*2023-07-04*

I love the App. I’d like to be able to download a text file of all the AUv3 Apps so could print them.

### 5/5 — Absolute must have for AuV3 management

*2023-05-30*

So much time saved when searching for the app you need. And with the option to sort favourites, even quicker. Certainly an option I’ve wanted for a long time in apps like AUM.

### 5/5 — Great app for IOS

*2023-05-30*

Just what you need

### 5/5 — This is a Must Have

*2023-05-12*

One click, open one app, and see everything you have. If your like me you probably have dozens of effects, instruments, sequencers etc. all over your desktop. I remember trying to organize the desktop with tons of hyper specific folders each named to make it easy to find what I’m looking for. Well I couldn’t usually find what I was looking for and I just stopped maintaining the desktop. It’s a mess now. Pages and pages of cool icons, most of which I have no idea what they are.
This app fixes all that. I think I even sleep better now 🤔

### 5/5 — Incredible! But we need a solution for M1…

*2023-04-03*

Update in the works even if it’s paid?

**Developer response:** Definitely something I want to do in the future! Stay tuned for more features to come, AUBE is constantly improving! All the best, Fred

### 5/5 — This is a MUST HAVE app…

*2023-03-15*

…for anyone who has ‘too many’ AUv3 apps to view easily or who gets a app name memory block. Add to that the almost instant support that Fred gives for his apps, and you just can’t go wrong. This is not a plug-in, it does not host plugins, it is a database enhancement for DAWs that support a search field and as such is the answer to this ‘maiden’s prayer’.

### 5/5 — Great app for iOS music makers

*2023-03-14*

If you have loads of auv3 music apps, this app will automatically scan and organise them for you into categories.

The killer feature is the custom keyboard you can add to iOS, which allows you to use AUBE in auv3 hosts that have a search box. I use loopy pro and it works great there.

Highly recommended.

### 2/5 — Let down by confusing & disappointing IAP model

*2023-06-01*

The app seems fine, but I’ve just bought it and poking around, I’m immediately being asked to pay a (smallish)fee for a 90 day update of new database descriptions.

I’m confused - what did I just buy? It’s a strange business model and seems like a sly way to force a regular ‘subscription’ for the database to run the app.

The fee is not much, but why do I need to upgrade something I’ve just bought? And the upgrade I’d be paying for will only last 90 days. This is not an upfront way of wining support and makes the app useless and pointless for me.

They should remove the subs element or provide a refund.

**Developer response:** The new version 1.5, released few days ago, contains the latest database updated just before the release (free for existing users!). BUT since the 1.5 version new AUv3 plugins have been released (they obviously did not exist when I submited 1.5 for review)! The categorisation of those new plugins takes time and the service is provided as in-app purchase! It s not mandatory, you can wait for the next free update to get the latest database (check the version history). Everything is expplained in the app description and on the website.

### 2/5 — I REALLY wanted to love this

*2023-03-18*

I will start off by saying that I am a fan of this developers other apps and own several of them. For that reason I purchased this without question. I am very sad to say, however, that I cannot in good conscience give this a good review in the current state.

In the current state, this app feels more like a proof of concept, or a tech demo. The concept is sound, exciting even, but I seriously question considering it a tool that one should pay for. I will list a few points that have triggered this reaction from me.

* Other than a “favorite” flag, there is very functionality in this app to make it your own in a meaningful, workflow enhancing way.

** No custom meta data within the schema. I would expect things like the ability to enter some of my own notes to the entries.

** No ability for the user to provide care and feeding of the discovered entities in the app. As it stands, you must click a button to send your entire manifest to the developer for review and potential addition in a future update. This is the type of scenario that can take an app from productive to potato in a very short time should bandwidth of the development team become an issue. Many App Store applications do unfortunately hit the single point of failure at some point, but I expect for a paid app that it not be so front and center. It did not know what Vocal Synth was, for example, and that plugin is well seated in the top tier of the category.

** Related to the above. No ability to edit meta data associated to the apps, including classification. As it stands this app knows a lot about the plugins, but it’s not necessarily being put to use. For example - at the most basic level of plugin classification, the data points regarding capability are subject to the application’s logic/interpretation. If you dig deeper, the detail is there regarding the multi-faceted nature of a plugins exposed capabilities, however that information in many cases is not contributing to the high level mapping/display. E.g., a vocoder in some cases may also be a synth, and a sequencer, etc. Classification in these cases can be highly subjective and specific to a particular users workflow and usage. I had to scan through the plugin list multiple times due to odd placement, and it is not placement I would choose to adjust/adopt to even if it may be technically accurate for that singular item. Sans the ability to customize/override this determination, I would expect at least to show said plugins in the categories matching the functionality, even if it means showing the same plugin more than once.

* No custom filter criteria or search. Now, you could argue that such an app does not need a search, however if one can have enough plugins to warrant a filter capability or basic search.

* Typos in the already very short help documentation. This is not necessarily a huge deal, but it definitely sets the stage for the early release/tech demo vibe that I get from this given how easily avoided it is.

I could go on, however, I trust that this makes my reasoning clear regarding my personal assessment. I will continue to watch this app, and I am HONESTLY hopeful that I can update this review should functionality be released that make demonstrable progress in bridging the deltas holding me back from being able to call this an app that one should pay for. The 40% off was nice… but even at that price it’s still not immaterial.

**Developer response:** Hi Gtgtfgyhuuh Sorry to read that the app is not what you expected and thank you for reporting the typo, will be fixed. Stay tuned for more features to come, AUBE is constantly improving! All the best, Fred

### 3/5 — Needs an update

*2024-09-18*

Purchased and like it, its very useful. But needs an update to reflect the new units being created since last update.

### 3/5 — Some drawbacks

*2023-05-30*

It is a cool app to be able to categorize all you AUv3 apps. But it highly annoys me that older apps that are no longer are supported on the app store are removed from the database and thst these will no longer show up in your AUBE collection. Because these apps are no longer on the App store doesn’t mean that i no longer wish to use these if i already paid for them. But the app will no longer make these available to you. This is a big negative for me. With every new update i see the number of my apps in the collection decrease instead of increase. Very annoying and counter productive!

### 3/5 — May go subscription )-:

*2023-03-15*

This app is a great idea, and could be super useful. But it is a bit confusing, requiring turning off/on in order to stop the keyboard appearing in other apps. I bought it in good faith, expecting improvements to be made to functionality in due course. I then discovered that there is a plan to make it fully functional only via additional IAPs or a subscription app, which would hobble it for those who do not want to keep paying. This was NOT made clear in the App Store description. As a result I have requested a refund.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback: the note available in the description is about the >> database << (the AUv3 classification info)! 1.1 comes with new features, bug fixes and a new database update! The description is updated to avoid any confusion (no subscription!). Stay tuned for more features to come, AUBE is constantly improving! All the best, Fred

### 4/5 — PLEASE allow🙏📿 in update

*2024-12-06*

we live subjectively in this world..
can we PLEASE have the
option to organize/categorize OUR OWN renamed groupings?

### 4/5 — Quite good.

*2023-04-13*

One problem I’ve found is it doesn’t find all auv3 apps and the submit unknown Audio Units doesn’t do anything. I have True Pan on my iPad and it isn’t recognised by Aube. It doesn’t stop me from using that app but it doesn’t appear in the list. I wonder how many other apps are invisible to Aube? Also there doesn’t appear to be a link to report bugs or problems, unless I’ve missed it.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback! The problem you reported about the AUv3 you mentioned is fixed in the incoming version. The "submit" does not apply when there is nothing to submit. You can contact me here support •• fredantoncorvest.com

### 4/5 — Handy app for AUv3 tabs

*2023-03-14, version 1.0*

Great little app to keep tabs on all your AUv3 apps. I feel like it should be FREE however, as there is no ability to customize your collection… Fred is constantly updating his apps so maybe this will be a feature sometime in the future. (i.e. I wish you could add notes to a specific App to indicate favorite presets, etc.)

### 5/5 — Was hoping for AUM integration

*2025-01-10*

Possible?

**Developer response:** Hello! You can use the AUBE Keyboard in AUM. Do not hesitate to contact me via the support for more information. All the best, Fred

### 5/5 — Only app of its kind.

*2025-01-09*

With 500 music apps. This database is a godsend.

## Most praised reviews (8 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — The best app to see what you actually have installed

*2024-11-26*

This is a great idea to help you stay organized. It would also be cool if it showed you if it was link, enabled or audiobus compatible .
Or if there is a way, it could show you the InterAp audio apps you have as well.

### 5/5 — Absolutely awesome

*2024-11-18*

Why didn’t I buy it earlier?! I’m buying fewer new plugins because I can actually find the ones I own already now. Extremely clever design with the input keyboard and works great. Seems like a native part of Drambo when I use it there.

Everything Fred makes is gold. I own all of his plugins and I love them all. Five stars!

### 5/5 — Great app

*2024-09-11*

Great for keeping everything organized. Good job. There is nothing like it on iOS

### 5/5 — AUBE's utility & simplicity are genius.

*2024-08-23*

Anybody with a library of AUv3 apps really needs this, a lot. It's like Photos app for AUv3 … but so so so much better! I can't think why an app like this wasn't thought if earlier, it's the app I didn't know I desperately needed but when I first saw it I instantly knew I did. Unutterably helpful. I <3 u dev(s). <3

### 5/5 — 🔥CLEAN UP CREW 👏

### 5/5 — AUBE the savour of the forgetful

*2024-08-03*

What a simple and yet great idea. An AUV3 catalogue app to tell you what you own. Suburb, just paid for the update 🙏.

### 5/5 — One of a kind. I have needed this for a long time.

*2024-01-02*

Please Please Please. Release this for Mac desktop.
Amazing app from amazing developer. All your apps are top notch.
Works awesome in logic for iPad. Keep up the good work.
If you own a lot of effects and synths then this is a must buy.

### 5/5 — Amazing App

*2023-11-20*

This is an amazing app for sorting all your plugins and easy quick access.
