The CPU bidding style is also insane. I will constantly get overbid by my opponent and most times, they 3-4 trump cards but all rags ### 3/5 — Computer always wins *2025-01-28, version 4.4* Computer always wins. Playing a trump on your partners winning trick when you are playing last doesn’t make sense ### 3/5 — Can’t renege *2024-04-20, version 4.4* The way we play, what ever is trump, if, the Jack of trump is led, you can renege your five off of it, or if the ace of hearts is led, you renege the Jack, or the five. You can also renege the ace of heart off of a lower led trump. But you can’t renege it if the Jack or five was led, and you can’t renege the Jack off the five if it’s led. So in short, the ace of hearts, Jack of trump, and the five of trump can be reneged off of any lower led trump. Would be great if this was allowed in this app. ### 3/5 — 3rd card high rule. *2024-04-01, version 4.4* Computer does not recognize this rule and generally will play the lowest trump available to beat what is played. I have given a 5 star review previously and praised the work done so far. I also paid the 5 bucks to have the ad-free version. I am hoping you can solve the issues with the game freezing while playing online. I play with my brother late night (after working all day). Unfortunately, it won’t seem to allow us to play a full game without seizing. I hope you are able to figure that one out. I play cut throat and the amount of times I miss a 20 bid because the computer player has 4 cards in whatever suit I bid in seems off. I should be able to get at least 25 with the 5,J,A of suit and King. Not sure if it’s an AI thing but thought I’d share anyways. In cutthroat play, Instead of trying to set the bidder, the opponents are only out to gain points. I play to relax but it’s hard when you get out bid and have no trump cards. When you get nothing in the draw. I don’t understand the logic. Did the game’s scoring get stuck? Also, if a player has a five why doesn’t he have to bid 20? That’s the normal rule. And it’s a normal rule, a player must be 100 to bid 20 to win. I played 10 games straight, didn’t receive one biddable hand. I rate your game -10. ### 1/5 — Not Realistic *2022-04-08, version 4.4* It does not play like the real game. A bid of 15 is useless. The computer will 100% of the time out bid a 15. The computer can also get 5 new cards even when selected that you must keep one. Plus the number of ads and the micro charges are disgusting. Make a game worth playing and maybe I’ll pay money for it. For now, don’t bother! ### 1/5 — Skewed to the app *2020-08-11, version 2.9* I love 45’s but it’s ridiculous that the app gets 5, jack, ace of hearts, etc often, I never get any cards needed from the kitty, I get dealt hands 90% of the time without even a face card. When I do get a face card it’s almost always just that one. I get dealt 5’s and jacks when it’s the apps turn to bid and it always bids 20, so I’d have to go to 25. When I do get a decent hand, the app always has great cards in my suit. The opposite is rarely true. I’m getting ready to just delete this game bc it’s so frustrating. The app gets 30 like every other hand. I read another reviewer that said he couldn't renege, I have no idea what he's talking about because it works perfectly. Rules are somewhat changeable (there's a rules list with checkmarks you can modify) as auction is played a bit differently here and there. Easy to figure out. Not gonna lie it's not a flashy game, but if you were like me and auction was a game that you played with your family and friends growing up, This is great. ### 5/5 — Good tool for kids *2025-06-19, version 4.4* I tested this app out myself recently to see how it works. I only play verse the computer so that’s all I can speak to but it works pretty well. If I pass on the first hand of the game it freezes every time but that’s a minor thing. I wanted it so my kids could use it as a learning tool on their tablets and it worked great! I unleashed them at a family gathering after only about a month of them playing everyday with me next to them coaching strategy and they smoked my father and I in their first ever team match! 😂 They got it fast with this app to help teach them. If the trump card isn’t Hearts and the Ace of Hearts is played, the other player isn’t forced to play a Heart if they have it. They should be - you always have to follow suit. I must admit I'm not the greatest player and I get quite discouraged when I see how many games I have lost. So I feel there should be a way to clear all game statistics in the Options menu. The only way I can do that now is by deleting the app entirely and reinstalling it from the app store.
