### 4/5 — Works great

*2021-04-10, version 5.1.8*

The UI is awkward. The help is hard to read. And multisniping (the best feature) is not available in the iOS version (for somewhat obvious reasons). But it works, and works well, especially in conjunction with the Mac app, which *does* have multisniping (multisniping is the ability to set bids for multiple items, and it will stop bidding after it has one one, so you can bid on six different new iPads at once without worrying that you’ll win more than one of them). And the developer is very responsive. I wish for three things: Share sheet support, so I can send items from the eBay app to this one without having to copy and paste, the ability to set up clusters on the iOS app for use in the Mac app, and auto-calculation of shipping costs, so I can enter the same bid amount for several items with different shipping costs.

### 5/5 — Keeps on bidding and winning

*2017-11-01, version 5.1.6*

I still have to have the highest bid, but this sure makes those bids more likely to win. Bids going in the last second keeps me out of the bidding wars, that is the way I need it to work.

### 5/5 — Wish this vr can background also

*2017-10-31, version 5.1.6*

Wish this iPhone version could run in the background too, I have the Mac version also together they work very well.

### 5/5 — Won the 1st auction sniped!

*2017-10-23, version 5.1.3*

Not sure if the title got cut off or not, so I'll say it again: I WON THE FIRST AUCTION SNIPED USING THIS APP!! Now that's what I call RESULTS! Bottom line: This app and its desktop companion of the same name work exactly how they're supposed to work - PROVIDED YOU FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR SET UP FIRST. They might be long and, ok, perhaps a little tedious, but you do it ONCE and you're set. Anyway, I had a great first experience and am optimistic for the future - I'd definitely recommend this app to those in the market for an eBay auction sniper. Thanks, Devs! xoxo

### 5/5 — tried many kinds of eBay snipers.

*2016-05-04, version 5.1.0*

I've tried the pay per snipe apps here, but eBay seems to be blocking many times from bids from a remote server, (which many apps use). This app is sending the bid right from the app though which works. But you have to have the app up on the screen, which is inconvenient, which means I had to figure out how to use it, but hey it works, so it's got that going for it.

### 4/5 — Great App

*2016-03-17, version 5.0.9*

This app works very well when it works. It's buggy and sometimes it crashes. Sometimes I'll find out that I've lost several bids and check my server phone to find out that the program has closed all by itself...probably crashed. eBay is also constantly making changes that requires updates to the program. Overall, I still love this program. It makes bidding much more fun and I would say I win about 50% more auctions than before.

### 5/5 — Useful Application

*2016-01-11, version 5.0.8*

A very useful tool when your an eBay shopper with lots of different items your tracking for various family members wanting a good price. If your like me a busy person that can’t just hang at the computer toward the end of auctions of interest then place that last minute bid this is the answer for you. LOVE THE APP

### 5/5 — This app is a steal!

*2015-08-04, version 5.0.8*

Put this on my iPhone about a week ago and set up an old iPod as my auction server. There were a few glitches (mostly user error) at first but has been working flawlessly the past few days. This app is a steal at .99 & it is great tool for “stealing" those bargains on eBay. Definitely worth it.

### 5/5 — I Won!

*2015-05-21, version 5.0.8*

Thanks to Jon and his Sniper app, I got my dream bike. He was super helpful and put my mind at ease after helping me make sure I had everything set properly to "snipe." Sure, there are many apps and some free, but I bet the customer service would not even come close. Look at the other reviews. I will surely rely on this app for future EBay auctions.

### 5/5 — Fantastic app

*2015-03-26, version 5.0.8*

I would highly recommend this app for winning auctions on eBay. I almost always get an item I want, unless my bid is too low. Very convenient that the app is doing the bidding for me, and I can go about my business. The customer support is superb, too. Email with a question and you'll get a quick response.

### 5/5 — I LOVE this app!

*2015-02-11, version 5.0.5*

This app works exactly as advertised which is enough to give it five stars. But add to that the INCREDIBLE customer support, and it deserves a ten star review! I contacted support with about 5 minutes left on an auction. He responded to every question I had, and he did it before the auction expired! I won that auction and all but one of every other auction I've bid in. I can't recommend this app highly enough!

### 3/5 — Read deeper!!!

*2014-12-19, version 5.0.2*

Not what I expected, I give it 3 because it may work well if you have two devices or can have it open at the time of auction closing... I lost a bid, and in investigating why, I find that it's designed to work with a MAC computer or another device that can be left on with the app running 24/7... Other apps that will work and do as you'd expect them too!!! If they get it to work without needing another device or need the app up and on at auction end, I'll try again and re-review...

### 2/5 — Works sometimes

*2014-09-05, version 4.0.7*

Alerts pop up all the time and will not disable, very annoying since it does it on all my devices. UI needs improvement. Feels like it was made in 1990 and not to user friendly. If you have multiple auction with similar titles on the snipe list page it is nearly impossible to tell what the auction is because the auction title is cut in half. Also very difficult to see how much time is left on the auction, u have to go to the ebay listing page to see.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — NO LONGER AVAILABLE

*2021-09-22, version 5.1.8*

All of a sudden, this app, which I purchased is no longer available. I tried to contact the developer with no success.
I was notified the developer has an update coming.
I hope soon.

**Developer response:** Hi Danny, eBay made a change that kept the app from working, I've been working on an update and it is nearly ready, the support email still works though, so I am not sure why you were not able to get through, I answer all emails with a question in them, and have been doing that for 8 years.

### 1/5 — iPhone 6

*2020-08-16, version 5.1.7*

It keeps crashing on it

**Developer response:** Hi Jose, try deleting the app, redownloading from App Store, (with an update that should be out in a few days from now) see how it is working then. not sure what was happening back last year though.. it has been working fine, but this app is one where it needs set up with specific setup instructions to work.

### 1/5 — Does not save your set up auctions.

*2019-09-01, version 5.1.7*

You have to put the order in each time you log in. I would check out a different one first. Many good free ones that work well.

**Developer response:** Hi Rosco, the app does save your eBay snipes, one possibility is that it saves them in your iCloud, because the app can be used with the Mac version, so if you are not connected, or have something turned off, then the app will not find iCloud/ and your snipes.

### 1/5 — Beware will delete all snipes and bookmarks!

*2019-07-05, version 5.1.7*

Worst app ever! If you install it it will automatically delete all your snipes and bookmarks from your desktop version - beware!

**Developer response:** Hi Cookcar, as the instructions clearly and emphatically state, if you want the two apps, and if you want them to work together, they must sync, and to do that, they clear out anything that was in your bookmarks and snipe list so that can happen, and then they can then work together. I've noted this in as many places as possible. It is a one time syncing process. but it must do that to get them to interact with each other.

### 1/5 — Horrible app

*2019-04-20, version 5.1.7*

Time and time again I have tried to use this app and it doesn’t work especially when you need it. Do not waste your money or time because just you will think it is working then it will fail you and then it’s too late and then it will be your turn to write one of these to try and save other people from the mistake I made 😪

**Developer response:** Hi Rafe, The app is one of those where the set up and the instructions are absolutely paramount, as one can lose out on a snipe if they are not followed. especially this app, since it really is an importer for the Mac version of the app. however it can be used as a stand alone app, BUT it must be used with two devices when doing that, one that you can dedicate as the actual sniper device, set aside and left on with the app running. so it is a trade off if one wants to use it this way. however the app does work, and lots of reviews show that it does work when it is set up properly, and TESTED.. lots of users are skipping that step. that is the only way to know if it is setup properly.

### 1/5 — Does not work

*2017-12-07, version 5.1.6*

Waste of money, failed three times after I thoroughly read the instructions.

**Developer response:** Hi Amelia, part of the instructions includes two things, the part about Always, ALWAYS test your set up, so that you can tell if the app is working, and if it is not, goes on to say, email me if you have a problem, and I can quickly find what is the problem you are having.

### 1/5 — Don’t buy this

*2015-03-10, version 5.0.7*

I use this in conjunction with the computer app and I have lost more auctions by relying on this program to work properly than I did before I used it. Last night, I set all my bids and went to bed. I most likely would have won each and everyone one of them as they went for about half of what I had put in to bid, unfortunately this app just sat there frozen! I had nothing else running. I set a ton of bids to go while out of town last week and realized on the first day of a week long trip that it wasn’t placing bids. It has worked in the past as I have won over a 100 auctions wit hit, but just don’t use it for anything you really want, it might not work.

**Developer response:** Hi Sean,
Although your review is from 2.5yrs ago, (we could not write a response 2.5yrs ago, we can now write a response), As the vast majority of the reviews for the Mac version that you are writing about share, the combination of the these two apps works extremely well together and also by themselves, If you contact me directly from the app email button, I can easily see what is wrong with your set up to see what you have set, that is not allowing the app to work for you.

### 1/5 — Information is deceptive

*2014-02-26, version 3.0.6*

The authors claim that no iPhone app will allow you bit unless the app is in the foreground and active at the time of the bid. Well, WRONG. There are other apps that handle this just fine. This app uses a tortured method of creating calendar entries and alerts to tell you that you need to bring the app into the foreground and let it sit until the bidding is over. This really isn't very useful for auctions that end when you aren't available. There are far better applications available. They cost more but they actually do what you want them to do. Oh, helpful hint for any of you who install this app and then delete it. If you delete the app, all the calendar notifications set by this app are not deleted. So expect to get annoyed until they all pass.

**Developer response:** Hi Lao, actually the quote is: "As you may know, apps LIKE THIS are not allowed to run while in the background". Music apps can run in the background, apps like this are not allowed to run in the background.. as the Description starts out "CAUTION", this app is meant to be a way to input snipes for a secondary device, like the Mac version of this app, or another old iPhone or iPad or iPod touch, and that device can be used as a server for the snipe, so yes you can use the app in a fully automatic mode, read up on the modes in the description.. As the vast majority of my users have expressed, the app and its companion Mac app is the best way to snipe for eBay... by far when you have a device you can use as your dedicated sniper server.

### 1/5 — In order for it to REALLY work you must have...

*2013-09-29, version 2.61*

This is useless if you don't have a Mac app running on a Mac computer. If you don't have the Mac running it, you will only be notified 2 minute(s) prior to the end of auction with a push notification to open the app in the phone so it can be awake and bid for you. Well hell, then why do I need it. I can set an alarm or calendar notification. And do I really want a push notification at 3 am telling me to wake up and bid on my item. Ugh!!! I prefer a refund, although I bet the creator of the app won't offer it to me. I will stick with esnipe, check it out at their website.

### 1/5 — Complete waste of my money

*2013-07-24, version 2.1*

I bought this app over this past weekend with a specific auction in mind. During the whole time I needed it to work, I could not load the instruction pages or the app support page due to a problem with their server (it could not resolve the name). There were other times when it would fail for the same reason. Basically I threw out a $1.07 as I was never able to utilize this app. I would like to have my money refunded, but I seriously doubt they will do that as they didn't even realize that they had server issues for the 3 days I was trying to use it!! Stay clear of this product as their quality controls are non existent!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — How Do I Cancel a Snipe?

*2023-09-08*

I started a snipe then decided to buy the item from another seller at a better price.

### 5/5 — Works

*2021-08-31, version 5.1.8*

I used this app and won. I will always use this app when bidding on eBay

### 5/5 — What I Needed that Day

*2019-05-26, version 5.1.7*

I needed something right now. I wanted something I controlled. This app worked great. The directions were clear. The testing of mode two was flawless and when I needed it to come through for me the day I go it, it did. I used an older iPhone that was without cell service as the server. It communicates cleanly to my other Apple devices.

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2018-03-11, version 5.1.7*

I've been using this app for a few years now and it works great. I only use it on my iPhone and have no complaints. This app never fails! Now that I have an old phone, I use it as a dedicated sniper. Supreme gear, kicks, electronics... done!

### 5/5 — Nice ability to share auctions between iPad

*2017-11-13, version 5.1.6*

Nice ability to share my auctions between iPad and my Mac and the Mac bidder has won several auctions. Support has been very helpful too

### 5/5 — Normal bidding has nothing on this

*2017-11-10, version 5.1.6*

Won a few using this now I am starting to actually enjoy the bidding process before it was always ending in losses now it is more likely a win. I use this with my old iPod as my bidding device so it is running and my bids go in at the times I want and I just put the bids in with my iPhone any time I want. I like this setup thanks for this app

### 5/5 — Happy.

*2017-11-09, version 5.1.6*

Happy with the support from this app's seller and happy with how this works with ebay great job

### 5/5 — Works and worth it

*2017-11-06, version 5.1.6*

I mostly don't read instructions but some apps it has to be done and this turned out to be one. I tried it blindly and didn't get any where but once I figured it out it works great. Plus having on my second iPhone makes it a no brainier.

### 5/5 — No more bidding games for me

*2017-11-05, version 5.1.6*

Have this app on my Mac too which I think is a must for a good eBay sniping set up and they work great together. Developer seems to be improving them all the time too. I've seen how good these two apps get at sniping for me. Best part, it never over bids which is nice No more getting into bidding games.

### 5/5 — I got a bid to low notification in 5 minutes !

*2017-11-02, version 5.1.6*

On the Mac version after setting up bid here on my iPhone. Which is timely and much better than what eBay does. This app is on my Mac and on here and this is very good not only auto bids on the Mac I knew five minutes from when it happened that my max price had been exceeded. EBay doesn't even do this for its live bids. Excellent features when used together.
