With or without Bluetooth connected every time when I open app I have to manually select station for it to start playing. I went to the Settings and enabled ‘Resume playback on app startup’ option. It turned on and immediately greyed out. Not only that, it does not do what it supposed to do and now I cannot even turn it off. Furthermore I still have to manually click on the station for the app to start playing. Quite annoying. Other than that it is great app, but definitely missing some important features. ### 4/5 — So close to a 5 star app *2026-07-08, version 7.2.35* I love this app. It can find almost every station out there. Also, it shows what is playing on each station, which is helpful if I want to change what I’m listening to. The only things that prevent it from being 5 star - the now playing info doesn’t regularly update, so the now playing shows the song info from when I first switched to the channel. Also, the app tends to resume playing when I take my AirPods out and plays on speaker. I use it to record a live radio show to listen to later. In the past, 50 percent of the time the audio wouldn’t save after recording which was very disappointing, but now it seems to work flawlessly. Besides being spectacular and very complete, I discovered the fantastic feature of creating folders with radio stations based on your preferences. You can move your favorite stations into any folder, something I've always wanted, and this is the first app I've seen that does it. I thought there was no way to organize radio stations up and down according to favorites, but it does that too 👏🍾🔝. It's truly spectacular. I will remove it when fixed. 7.2.33 is the last version that resumes playback without an issue. They tried to fix it, but no luck. They need to go back to 33 to find out what was working and changed later. I also tested all of 7.x.x versions and all of them have the issue of jumping to a random part of the home screen after tapping on an entry on the home screen. I guess nobody reported this. The UI has gotten much worse compared to five years ago or so. For example, the sleep timer and ban button are so close together that enabling the timer will often ban the station, too. For some reason the initial Favorites view is curtailed, so you need to press another button to view them all. Lastly, some bizarre country filtering was introduced that sometimes makes the app think I’m in the UK and remove all non-UK stations. This once was by far the best radio app out there, and a life saver when TuneIn decided its paid subscribers needed to pay extra to continue using the already paid for TuneIn app. Now it’s mediocre at best, easily bettered by fairly simple competitors like Broadcasts or myTuner. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — responsive devs *2026-07-16, version 7.2.35* … ### 5/5 — The Best Radio App… *2026-07-08, version 7.2.35* 5⭐️ ### 5/5 — Excellent App *2026-07-08, version 7.2.35* One of the best apps to listen to music and podcasts.
