Or in this case doesn’t work. Half the time it is frozen and won’t work. Yet, they are sucked in again, this time, to save Mark’s family and Astrid from the Russian mob while watching a toddler and maintaining their sobriety, one foam gun, air pistol, and flash bang at a time. Others agree, just let us block authors, you’re wasting everyone’s time. It makes sense, since we will never listen to authors we block anyway, and we’ll actually get recommendations according to our taste, and ethical standings. And now, I accidentally hit the stupid Harry Potter challenge and I’m sure I’ll pay for it with more previews of that cursed series of books. ### 5/5 — Mad Mabel *2026-08-22, version 4.76* This is an incredible story about friendship and those friends who you deeply connect with. You navigated away for 1 second? Your audiobook stopped and you need to sign in again. Trying to sign in? You need 5 different sign in codes from your phone number and email - literally nobody is hacking your audible account why is there 5 factor authentication? The most frustrating app experience in a long time. And no indication of whether download is happening, or if its progress (yet you have a downloaded selector?! Who designed this…) And even on a tethered play it says “there was an issue in playback”. ### 1/5 — Shouldn’t show what’s not accessible *2026-08-23, version 4.76* The app shouldn’t even show books not accessible due to different marketplace setting. I choose one author and her books are not ‘audible’ because ‘this title isn’t available in your country or region.’ Then show me what is available!!! I only downloaded the app for a free trial and I can’t even find a way to cancel the membership or renewal even after following the instructions. No button appears to Cancel membership!!! Homepage is garbage now cause you want to push more sales. Clean it up. Lists has stupid categories so you need to scroll to get to your categories. Maybe add a list of counters how many times i listened to each book? I tried listening in hopes of getting through it because reading it was so excruciating but listening was worst. Why would any author choose to use AI for narration?? AI takes even the best books and makes them impossible to get through.
