Secondly, there are serious problems with the Bluetooth connection. I have found it takes up to 5 times to connect the bluetooth and even then the connection can drop out, requiring them to be reprogrammed again. Third, on a positive note, the units operate well if they are just used as hearing sids. One personal problem however- I work in an area where there are lots of door access badge readers, so when in their proximity sll I get is a loud crackling noise from the aids. They are good for everyday use otherwise, just not at work. ### 1/5 — Really poor *2026-03-02, version 2.0.7* The app failed to control my ion pro 2. Seems to connect but has no control. It got worse after a recent iOS update. It’s totally useless in its current configuration. I’ve deleted the app and reinstalled it. I’ve reconfigured bluetooth still no control. I wish I could say the same for the app. I have to always delete it off my phone and reinstall half the time. My phone is right next to the hearing aid case, but it still doesn’t recognize the hearing aids. If I want to use the app to adjust volume etc I need to put the aids into the case, leave them there for a few seconds, pull them back, allow them to be connected to Bluetooth and then I can use the app. The app may work if I leave the aids Bluetooth connected, but the aids would not hold a charge for the full day (the instructions for the hearing aids recommend disconnecting from Bluetooth so keeping them connected in order to use the app is not a “feature”) ### 1/5 — Update? What update? *2025-12-23, version 2.0.6* 12/23/25 This app sucks so bad. How the hell can you not fix this? I am a brand new Ion Pro 2 user. Spent a bunch of money to be able to have the app. When I change locations, it won’t connect to the hearing aids. They are IN my ear and working!! But no app “connection”. How was this supposedly updated for stability 2 weeks ago?? All the complaints are true and you do nothing about it! ### 1/5 — App is Crapp *2025-12-15, version 2.0.6* The app is terrible. It needs to be reset constantly. It occasionally triggers the music app on my phone, sending unwanted music to the hearing aids. As soon as I can replace the hearing aids I will scrap the app and use the aids solely as emergency backups. ### 1/5 — App Needs Serious Help *2025-12-03, version 2.0.5* While the hearing aids work great and are just as good or better than the more costly ones I’ve had, the app makes the whole experience disappointing. Being able to adjust volume or sound conditions from your phone is so convenient but not when you have to reload your devices every time you go to make an adjustment using the app. Yesterday I had to reload my hearing aids 8 times and I finally just did it manually the rest of the day. Really defeats the purpose of buying the hearing aids with app support. Wish I’d read all the other reviews sooner. ### 1/5 — Please fix this app!!’ *2025-10-30, version 2.0.3* I’ve only had my Audien Ion Pro hearing aids for a little more than 2 months. At first, the app worked well. But more than 2 weeks ago, it doesn’t consistently work. Now when I go to switch between modes, adjust the volume, check the battery life, etc., the screen message says “connecting, this won’t take long,” and it just keeps spinning. I have to uninstall and then reinstall the app, which also means that the hearing aids have to be “set up” again. When this happens 3+ times per day, it gets very frustrating. Please fix this app!!! ### 1/5 — Battery life *2025-10-24, version 2.0.3* Battery life using blue tooth is only About 5 hours not good! The app keeps saying you need to charge the hearing aids so you can’t adjust them not good! ### 1/5 — Ion pro hearing aid *2025-10-15* I’ve had these for approximately seven months. The battery life using Bluetooth is approximately five hours maximum. Now the app is froze up and you can’t control the hearing aids. I’ve reinstall the app and it still doesn’t work. Don’t waste your money. Works great if they would stay connected. Batteries go down very fast! ### 1/5 — App needs to be redesigned *2026-05-24, version 2.1.2* The heating aids (Ion Pro 2) work well, but the app is useless. It will constantly (every 15 minutes or so), drop the connection to the hearing aids and will not reconnect unless you put the aids in the charger for “2 seconds” and then reconnect. That means that you must carry the charger with you if you want to adjust the aids. This makes the app less than useless. I have another pair of TruHearing aids and the controlling app never disconnects the aids. I’ve been wearing aids for over 50 years, and these aids, at 1/10 the price equal my more expensive aids. Customer service is good too. So these are a Win-win! Just note that using blue tooth the control aids, wears down the battery too quickly.
