С базовой задачей бесплатная версия прекрасно справилась на фоне кучи других навязчивых программ которые оформляют назойливую подписку. Разработчикам большой респект! Eventually found this app and despite few reviews it was small footprint and free to try. So I downloaded it. It simply worked. Now you only appear to get ONE try for free (when it asks about signing up just tap the X to bypass) So for a reasonable one off fee £2.99 I paid up for lifetime usage. Converted my edited file back and put it in my playlist. For newcomers to the Apple ecosystem:- The Files app will let you open the m4a you've made in Voice Memo. Just select / share / voice_memo. It goes into your list of voice-memos. Use Voice Memo to edit. To save the edited file back use 3dots / save_to_files / browse and Save. Then use this app again (after paying) to convert it to mp3.
