### 4/5 — Please add more FFT sizes

*2020-06-25, version 2.2.1*

Add 16384 32768 and more fft, for better low frequency resolution.

### 4/5 — Hi

*2016-08-05, version 2.0*

I bought this app last week.
Before I used the Lite Version
I was very impressed this app so I bought this app!
But Full version has a big problem!
FFT spectrum Line is not detail even more than Lite version.
I want to fix that problem!
Thanks!

### 4/5 — Great app

*2013-12-03, version 1.7.2*

This is a brilliant app, really really detailed and works fantastically with an external mic (i use an iRig with a shotgun mic)

I swear by this app and use it at every gig.

It does however need to be ipad optimised, it would be the perfect app if it was!

Please please please optimise it for ipad!

5 stars in my opinion once it gets optimised! Great app!

### 4/5 — Works as advertised, very useful

*2011-11-30, version 1.5*

The app does everything that it says it does, it's pretty fast on my 3GS and should be really responsive on the 4S. Highly recommend it because of its price and feature list, best value out there.

### 4/5 — Almost perfect

*2011-07-27, version 1.5*

This is an excellent app, it does exactly what it suggests it can and it does it well, even on my older iPhone 3G. At present it does not include a mic calibrator or the ability to output via the headphone jack, these both would be very useful and simply put these two small things would make Audio Kit the audio app to have!

### 4/5 — Probably not exactly what it was intended for

*2011-07-22, version 1.5*

We are testing speaker phone ranges with it.

### 5/5 — Audio Kit Vers.1.4

*2011-04-22, version 1.4*

### 5/5 — Very comprehensive for the price.

*2011-01-15, version 1.4*

Everything works as advertised, and the added signal generator for frequency response measurements is a big plus.

### 4/5 — Very good!

*2011-01-09*

Works great on IPhone4 iOS4.2.1, has a simple and user-friendly interface. But why did you use other color scheme for SPL meter screen than for Spectrum Analyzer and Scope screens? It does not look neatly.

### 4/5 — Funciona bem

*2010-10-17*

Ótima ferramenta!

### 5/5 — Good combination of Audio apps

*2010-10-08, version 0*

This App uses windowing in the FFT to reduce noise. Good resolution (3 ranges selectable).
Useful for checking feedback. Handy to have the built in signal generator and SPL meter also. Scope is expandable in both directions. Plenty responsive. Good value for money.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Mostly useless

*2025-06-26, version 2.3*

The app hijacked all audio, so I can’t play audio out of the phone other than the audio generated from the app. When it’s in this configuration, I can only measure the sound coming out of the phone, which makes no sense to me. Why would you want a frequency sweep that comes out of the phone only? That doesn’t make any sense. There’s no way to change the audio output as far as I can tell.

### 1/5 — Fallo app

*2016-11-14, version 2.0*

### 1/5 — 1.7.1 Crashes

*2013-10-08, version 1.7.1*

The latest update crashes immediately on my iPhone 5s running iOS 7.0.2. Won't open at all.

### 1/5 — Very disappointing for the price

*2012-12-18, version 1.6.1*

Interface quite basic and functionalities not impressive at all. Some bugs ( does not rotate), no iPad version. In any case much too expensive (£4.99) for what it does. I have tried "signal generator" which I find much better and is cheaper (£0.69).

### 1/5 — Absolutely inacurate. Useles as a tool

*2010-07-03, version 0*

This application is inacurate to such extend that even with the internal tone generator put to any frequency, the spectrum analizer never Ever shows the same frequency. Compared with the spectrum analizer from logic studio 9, there aré diferences of anything up to 20% error! This is inaceptable and I expect a full refund as soon as you get this message

### 2/5 — Inflexible Output

*2020-10-25, version 2.2.1*

It’s very difficult to use over Bluetooth. The app has no settings to select the audio output device and seems to prefer the built-in speaker.

### 2/5 — Slow, limited utility

*2010-09-26, version 0*

All of the features you'd want are here, but bone of them are executed particularly well. The FFT looks nice, but it's not responsive, and the resolution is low.
The oscilloscope looks nice, but it can't zoom out very far and it's slow. Basically useless for transient signals. Couldn't figure out how to use the trigger mechanism.
There are better apps out there that do the same thing but better. Keep looking.

### 2/5 — Couldn't get it working

*2010-07-02, version 0*

Nothing but the frequency generator seemed to work, which is odd given the recent update.

### 3/5 — Needs updating for iPhone X

*2018-02-12, version 2.0*

I use this occasionally and it does what it says it does. It needs updating for iPhone X because once you start it there is no way of switching apps or getting back to the home screen other than rebooting the phone.

### 4/5 — Utile

*2025-07-19*

### 5/5 — I’ve been waiting for this!

*2025-04-12, version 2.3*

Simple to use, good features, useful, and I like being able to see a visual representation of what I’m listening to, so I can get a better idea of how the mix sounds through different speakers.

This spectrum analyzer is really going to be helpful. Perfect when modding sounds, and seeing how those sounds fit in a mix, especially when looking at how adding, and mixing new bass heavy sounds, affects the definition, and separation, of the final mix.

### 5/5 — Bought this many years ago

*2024-12-25, version 2.3*

I must get this out of my pocket many times a year due to curiosity - how loud is this, what frequency am I hearing, what does that sound look like on a scope, and it’s always great. I have no idea how much it costs now as I bought it many years ago, but it was so worth it.

### 5/5 — Muy útil

*2016-11-22, version 2.0*

I really like this app.
I would like to make zoom in a specific area in the spectrum. Please, updating in that way it will be great.

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2013-01-25, version 1.6.1*

Very useful for live audio reinforcement.

### 5/5 — dope.

*2012-11-02, version 1.6.1*

I use this app for live PA setups and even in the studio sometimes to identify a runaway frequency. It's accurate, fast, and updated for the 5. Well worth the money if you're an audio junkie. The SPL meter and sig generator are both useful tools.

### 5/5 — Super app!

*2012-01-13, version 1.5*

### 5/5 — Superb sound tool

*2011-12-14, version 1.5*

I purchased 'Audio Kit' to diagnose a fault with the sound system installed in my church. Using the FFT Spectrum I was able to see screeching at a much higher pitch than I could hear. What's more, the spectrum clearly showed the 2nd and 3rd harmonics. Because I could see the shape of the spectrum so clearly I was able to identify the signature as that of a switch mode power supply. I found the suspect within a couple of minutes and swapped it out. Problem solved. There is no other way I could have diagnosed this problem except through hiring an audio spectrum analyser at considerable expense.

'Audio Kit' is now the most favoured tool in my sound collection. Thanks to the Sinusoid team we have a winner here.

### 5/5 — best of the iPhone analyzers

*2011-10-24, version 1.5*

Fires up fast, directly to the screen you want.
Responsive display.
The peak frequency number is really visible and doesn't move around.
I use it to identify feedback frequencies while tweaking the PA during setup.

### 5/5 — good app - staggering value

*2011-07-13, version 1.5*

Great audio app. Well sorted and just amazing value when you consider what it can do

### 5/5 — Really useful

*2011-06-22, version 1.4*

This is a brilliant app for the audio professional. It's already been put to good use.
