I do t find the transcripts very useful, as they have more errors in them than a Zoom or Notability transcript. What I wish it had was the option to produce a cleaned up, AI summary of a dictation. I’m currently testing other apps to find this feature ### 2/5 — Didn’t save *2026-02-16, version 6.1.1* I recorded a whole interview with one of my son’s teachers, then I renamed it, and then when I went to be done with the renaming, I hit the X and instead of taking me out of the deleted the whole recording ### 5/5 — Excellent App *2026-02-05, version 6.1.0* I’ve been using this very stable platform for years!!!! Totally recommend it. The only problem that I recently had is when I went to play back a recording, it sounded very slow. I couldn’t figure out how to fix it. Transferring the recordings to others can be challenging and a bit quirky. Bravo ! 7 juin 2012 : J'utilise cette application exceptionnelle depuis deux ans, dans un cadre professionnel (conférences, réunions, enregistrements des musiciens et analyse de leur jeu ; je suis musicien professionnel) 21 oct. 2011 : Sur iOS 5 Audio Mémos 2, avec toutes les extensions. L'ajout récent du "Gain" (de la sensibilité du microphone, lors de l'enregistrement, rend encore plus excellente cette application-magnéto de poche ! La facilité de sauvegarde (envoyer) par ITunes, ou Dropbox (ou iCloud, pourquoi pas...) est "dans l'air du temps, de la mobilité" 4 Oct 2011 : J'utilise toujours, sans failles et avec une grande facilité cette application sur mon IPhone 4. Très fréquemment, c'est-à-dire au moins trois fois par semaines, plusieurs heures par semaine. Qualité excellente (dûe aussi à la qualité excellente du microphone de l'Iphone) et multiples options (j'utilise toutes les extensions) La sauvegarde la plus viable et sûre vers le PC (moi, Windows XP) : ITunes => Iphone => onglet Apps => Audio Memo dans la fenêtre basse => "Enregistrer sous..." Bravo et merci ! 25 mars 2010 : Après la dernière mise à jour, le bug qui empêchait les enregistrements en "haute qualité" (WAWE 44,1kHz) a été corrigé. Ainsi, tenant compte des nombreuses fonctionnalités complémentaires que les deux versions (AudioMemos - le Dictaphone ET AudioMemos 2 - le Dictaphone) offrent, je pense que ces deux applications sont excellentes. L'apprentissage pas à pas, par "conseils", aide à consolider chaque étape. Celui "en vidéo" est très pédagogique, aussi (je n'ai pas eu le temps de vérifier chaque option, mais les "principales" me semblent opérationnelles) ### 1/5 — If you don’t mind losing your data, this app is for you *2024-12-25, version 5.3.4* This app has been so buggy since the beginning and the developers unfortunately fail to fix the bugs. I have been waiting for more than a year now - same crashing bugs I reported to them still present: - I keep losing audio memos which is incredibly frustrating. I lost so much work because of this app, I feel a fool for continuing to rely on this after the first instance when I recorded a long dictation on my Apple Watch and it simply disappeared. There is a pause button, but I just see it as a “russian roulette button” because if you pause recording and switch apps, you have a 50-50 chance that you will lose the recording you paused. - recordings on the Apple Watch remain in the “sync in progress” cue forever. I contacted the developers looking for solution and they tried, but failed to fix this. Sync has been broken for well over a year. Every memo you ever recorded remains in a “sync in progress” queue until you delete them manually, one by one. If you get too many, the Watch app gets overwhelmed and won’t sync at all. I am just writing this review now, after I lost a long dictation, recording my thoughts on my Apple Watch and at one point, the app randomly started a new recording and my long dictation was completely gone. Extremely frustrating and not really hard to solve - just implement autosave every few seconds and this will never happen. However it is now so buggy it is unreal. It routinely starts to record from halfway through an ongoing memo, overwriting and losing stuff already dictated. Eg you dictate 5 mins worth and then go to add more, and it will commence recording from 3 mins into the tape causing data to be lost.
