When I tested it out with a sample medical note, it was pretty accurate but had a few errors here and there. Given the advancing AI technology, I can definitely see people relying on it more and more over the coming years. Transcriptionists should use SmartScribe for the following reasons: · Saves time and increases productivity– The best part about this tool is that it can save people so much time. Although it is prone to some errors, I think that even having a rough draft of the audio file will save transcriptionists from the hassle of typing most of it out. I can see myself running an audio file through this tool and then going over the audio myself and correcting any errors. · Accurate timestamping – The fact that the app automatically timestamps is another huge timesaver. If there are specific parts of the audio that are unclear, we can easily go to that point in time and read how the software interprets it. I love that you can replay specific parts of the text as well! · Reduces room for error – Humans are just as prone to error as technology is – maybe even more so at times.
