But it didn't: moving the slider works too fast, you can't choose the timestamp precisely, moving the trimming positions (bottom) breaks all the tracking done with the slider (top). Was hoping this app would solve the problem with cutting audio files on iOS. ### 4/5 — Pretty handy *2025-01-12* I can’t tell if the app is adjusting the audio quality settings. I’d like to think not but it changed my file size more than I would have expected based on what I trimmed. Super frustrating. ### 3/5 — not a great ui/ux *2024-01-30* just bought this based on positive reviews and am editing an aac file but the waveform seems very inaccurate and compressed and doesn’t line up with what i’m hearing. also the trim and play functions are very frustrating and will jump around and reset in unexpected ways. it works and the interface seems familiar but not as intuitive as it should be edit: actually it doesn’t work properly, it plays most of the file and then stops before the file ends abruptly so there is a time mismatch or something going on. would also be nice to have function to snap the trim to the current play line ### 1/5 — Greift nicht auf die ITunes Mediathek zu *2022-08-29* Greift nicht auf die ITunes Mediathek zu, daher für mich nutzlos. I cannot find a way to trim an audio recording that’s stored in any of my audio recording apps (including Apple’s native recording app). 3. This app seems to be incapable of adding any specific audio recording app (to allow export of a file into AudioTrimmer). I understand that this app is less than 2mb but a help guide is, imo, essential and really well worth the few kb it would require. Sadly, I could have used this app…🫥 **Developer response:** Hey there! To use Audio Trimmer, simply pick any file in iCloud Drive, on your iPhone or any other cloud provider. To be able to trim any file from another app, first save it to Files, then open it in Audio Trimmer. It’s that simple! ### 4/5 — Great simple app *2022-05-09* Please add the Dynamic Type feature to make it more usable for visually impaired people. The Trim button is so small even if there’s plenty of space. Also, there is no option to choose compression quality, so some cut files are larger than their originals. Using this app will export a m4a file which is not what I need. It should explicitly say it will convert any mp3 to m4a in the description. ### 1/5 — Cannot trim Wav to Wav *2025-04-25, version 1.0.18* App trims wav files and renders m4a. No option that I could find to switch it so it will render wav files. When you click this icon it opens up an empty folder in Files and *drum roll* THERE IS NO APP! I’ve contacted the developer, Rony Fadel, and received no response. Disappointed but not surprised, so I’ve passed it on to Apple to investigate. P.S. Can you email us at support@fadel.io? ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work! *2022-10-28* I downloaded this app and spent hours yesterday fine tuning some clips from a podcast I’m working on however when I open up the saved audio they have been cut in the wrong places - I always tested the trims both ends before clicking trim but then it seems to ‚jump’ the cut a few seconds each end - I Finally fussed out that each time I should trim with additional footage then go in and trim again and then again - to get it accurate I needed to trim 3 times. Today I just needed to trim an audio file real quick, and I took a chance on this one based on its reddit thread from four years ago. App costs $2.99 now — small price to pay for the convenience! The only thing I might suggest is the ability to fade either or both sides where the audio is clipped. Even without that, this is what I needed in a bind. It has performed flawlessly for me until this week when the app experienced a slight hiccup. I reached out to the developer for a fix. An initial response was received within 15 minutes and the problem fully resolved a few short hours later. I appreciate great customer service and today I experienced it. Until now it was a pain to trim recordings to fit the tracks - I used to load them on my PC then use Sony Sound Forge to edit and trim them. But now with Audio Trimmer I can do everything directly on my iPad. Brilliant! It's a very simple app but it's really easy to use and when you click the TRIM button it saves a new file, retaining the original. Definitely gonna recommend this app to all of my friends in the iOS music community - it's excellent, and very affordable 👍 ### 5/5 — Long-Awaited, Elegantly-Executed *2022-12-23, version 1.0.4* Somehow, this 1.4 MB, virtually inconfigurable, single-use application manages to be one of the most powerful audio manipulation tools on iOS. Those who remember maintaining a GarageBand install *just because they occasionally needed to trim audio files* will celebrate.
