It’s quite frustrating, especially since there is no option to add a bookmark to get around that issue. It defeats the purpose of having an audiobook app if I have to search for the position I left off at every single time. I do appreciate that this app is offered for free! Also, I like that the audio settings (speed and volume) carry over from Book to book—I don’t have to reset it each time. And it’s great that there’s no time limit on how long of a book I’m able to listen to for free. ### 4/5 — Hiccups *2022-06-16* The app is great with its set of hiccups. It does remember where you left off and fairly easy to download apps. The hiccups consist of the app crashing when deleting audiobooks, sometimes uploading, and sometimes glitches on playback if you're not in the app itself. So far it’s tolerable since its delivering what i want. I’ve listened to more audiobooks everyday than i ever had before and i am truly over the moon happy. Just looking forward to an update to fix the bug issues ### 3/5 — Playback position bugged *2021-03-28* All good except a playback position is saved based on which button you use to pause; If you pause via the main button in app but then press play via the control centre (or vice versa), the playback position won’t be the same. Поправьте, пожалуйста. ### 2/5 — This needs a lot of work *2020-11-29* I was pleased to see a audiobook app that can download from my NAS, but this app is not ready for prime time. Some of the m4b books it downloads aren’t recognised by the app, and an instruction to download in mp3 format comes up. At other times it does recognise the format but shows only one chapter, even though there are several. Apple’s own player sees them correctly. It doesn’t display the embedded book cover (Apple’s player does). I couldn’t see the dark theme option, although frankly that’s unimportant when the app itself is so flawed. In order to be justified in charging for this app, it needs to have these flaws corrected and some critical features added. These include the ability to set user-specified times for rewind and skip forward, and a graphic equaliser for badly recorded or transcribed books. Das Play & Stop und vor und zurückspulen ist total buggy wenn man es von den Systembuttons macht (außerhalb der App) Ich würde nie Premium kaufen wenn die App im Alltag so schlecht funktioniert. При этом в ползунке воспроизведения отображается всего 3 часа 35 минут. И если данные о количестве прослушанного времени сбрасываются (а они сбрасываются периодически), то долистать до нужного фрагмента удается лишь при помощи перемотки на 30 секунд вперед. Последний раз счетчик сбросился, когда я прослушала более 9 часов от книги. SmartBook is by far the easiest app to use. The way of transferring using the website is clever and works very fast. The app can also find png’s in order to have a book photo which is nice. It also knows the order of your book spot on.
