This app is very easy to use and very simple and I appreciate that. I am following along with the audio as I am reading the actual text so the only annoying part is that when I put the book down and come back to start listening again the app list the tracks and not the chapters or the lines in the book, so there is a mismatch there. But I don’t know if that is due to the hexameter style or if this is just the way the app works. This is just a minor inconvenience as I can easily add a bookmark in the app and also a bookmark in the text. Either way I will still keep using this app, as I as I plan to listen to many more audiobooks! ### 4/5 — Good. *2026-08-24, version 12.1.0* Interface for when the book plays could be better but otherwise I do like how the track provides different ways of consuming the book (displays length of chapter or length of book). I don’t get a lot of time to read anymore. The app works well, but it took me a few minutes to figure out how to navigate it and it didn’t work well with CarPlay. It shows up, but the library doesn’t have anything in it. I have to run it from my phone in order to use it in the truck. I canceled my account before the trial was over and was still charged and then the customer service associate I talked to was VERY rude about getting it taken care of. Also, the app is an absolute rip off. Buy the book directly, it’s cheaper. Or use the Libby app from your library for free!!! ### 1/5 — Difficult to cancel *2026-08-13, version 12.1.0* I used the free trial because it had a book I couldn’t find anywhere else, and then tried to cancel after and there is no way to do it in the app. Finally (after being charged twice already! i figured it out and proceeded to start canceling, and it makes you think your credits will be erased if you cancel. I almost fell for it and chose one of the alternatives they give you (pause subscription or stay to use credits and they’ll remind you to cancel before the next cycle). I felt like it wasnt worth being trapped so I proceeded anyway and decided to pursue a refund. When I discovered it was a scam I should have stopped payment from my credit card but I waited too long. I've tried canceling. If there's a way of doing it I have not found it. Of course there's nothing like support. To the owners and developers I would say, why would you lie and cheat people like this? Why not build something that people can use? Make money that way. To potential customers I would say, be careful not to click anything. Back away and never return. ### 1/5 — Easy to Subscribe, Nearly Impossible to Cancel *2026-07-21, version 12.0.9* The book selection is incredibly outdated, with very few recent or popular titles available, making the subscription disappointing from the start. When I tried to cancel my free trial, I spent over 30 minutes searching for a way to do it because it was anything but straightforward. I eventually had to email customer support on the last day of my trial. They didn’t respond until the following day, after my card had already been charged $25 for the annual renewal. I contacted customer service immediately, explaining the situation and asking for a refund since I hadn’t even used a single book after the trial ended. I was told they couldn’t refund me but would cancel the subscription while letting me keep access for the rest of the month. How generous. I replied asking them to simply refund the charge, and from that point on… nothing. I’ve sent two additional emails since then, and they’ve completely ignored them. Apparently responding is only a priority when it’s time to charge your card. ### 1/5 — Silly scam waste of time do not recommend I would give 0 stars if I could!!!!!!!!!!!! *2026-07-18, version 12.0.9* Do not fall for this app it is a complete scam they make it very difficult to cancel and hope u don’t notice the amount they r charging. There’s no option in-app. The chat-bot on their website also refuses to assist. There’s meant to be a “Cancel” option on their website but it doesn’t exist on the mobile site. Pathetic behavior from the company and also illegal. ### 1/5 — Terrible scam *2026-06-23, version 12.0.7* Signed up for a free trial, which they immediately charged me for - then tried to cancel and get reimbursed, however the website and app are so scammy they make it impossible to cancel, even giving me error messages in Spanish. I also couldn’t use the live chat function as it was closed, and it said it opens at 1pm - came back at 1pm only to have an terrible AI telling me to do the same steps I’d already taken, so I asked for a human, to which they said all their live agents are unavailable until Monday 9am EST, I asked again and it said I could speak to them at 9am EST (1pm GMT - which is NOW) and it didn’t specify a day, so which is it? Available now, or do o have to wait 6 days, conveniently until after the “free trial” ends before I can speak to someone???
