## What is Audiocast?

Audiocast turns your phone into a broadcasting console for Icecast and Shoutcast.

Record from your phone's microphone (or pick from multiple inputs, including
individual iPhone mic capsules), encode it live as MP3, Ogg/Opus or Ogg/Vorbis, and
stream it straight to the server you already run or have an account with.

FEATURES
• Icecast and Shoutcast source streaming, with auto-reconnect
• MP3, Ogg/Opus and Ogg/Vorbis encoders — set sample rate, bitrate and mono/stereo
• Mixer-style UI: input gain fader, stereo VU meters, waveform display
• Play a backup or bed track live, mic mutes automatically, unmute to talk over it
• Save a local backup copy of the stream while you broadcast
• Live title/artist metadata to your server
• Scan a QR code to configure a server profile and encoder settings in one go
• Share your listener URL directly from the app
• Keeps the screen and Wi-Fi awake while you're on air

Bring your own Icecast or Shoutcast server — Audiocast doesn't run one for you, and
never sees your stream. It goes straight from your phone to the server you configure.
