Thanks so much! Now I don't have to learn Java just for this AND now I've even got an iPhone version! Thanks very much. ### 5/5 — A needed toolset *2009-12-06* Dev updated description to point out app was limited, setting the expectation bar to the proper level.. You say 3 calcs in first part of description, that's what I expect. FREE IS free.. Many of the classic free web apps for similar calcs are flash based. I DO like the thought of all these calcs together-- but give me a bulk buy vs. A la carte. I think I was most bummed about this app because I wished it existed not more than 5 hours before finding it in the store.. It was like a cosmic sign and blessing from above seeing it pop up in the store.. really a sucker punch when upon busting it out it wasn't as promoted (now at this point by me word of mouth) Initial review: Poor marketing model guys.. Next time, make the free version with two (useless nearly) calcs and paid one with all.. Your writeup says "included" but doesn't mention details about seperate purchases until the end.. You set your potential clients up for immediate disappointment.. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 2/5 — File Size calculation is wrong *2019-01-13* Calculations with 32-bit depth are wrong. **Developer response:** Thanks Ev! This is resolved in 3.7.1. Cheers. ### 3/5 — Great app *2018-10-17* I’ve had it in the past on previous devices. It comes in handy more than I thought. But the numeric input is not functional in this version on my iPhone X. ### 3/5 — Great idea, but a few nagging problems. *2015-08-31* This is a great idea for an app, and it works fine; however, there are a few problems that should be addressed. For example, the Compare Voltage function only allows whole numbers. Since a lot of audio work involves referencing +4dBu (~1.23 V), it seems obvious to include at least two decimal places. Similarly, the Distance to Time function doesn't allow you to put any info about temperature or air pressure (remembering that our atmosphere is not an ideal gas). With a few refinements, this would be a 5 star app. **Developer response:** thanks for your suggestions - watch for them to be incorporated in the near future. cheers! ### 3/5 — Not Bad *2010-08-20* There are some great calculators for my audio work, but why do I still have to see ads when I paid for the upgraded calculators? ### 3/5 — More could be done but ok *2009-12-11* Ui is ok, scrolling long distances can take some time. It would be nice if there were a few more acoustic calculations in the app. For example: transmission loss, NRC, etc. Much like the SPL Calculator. I would be willing to pay extra for something like that anx make it a 5 srar ### 4/5 — Where's the 64-Bit Version? *2017-06-06* 32-bit apps will no longer work with the upcoming IOS 11. Are we dead in the water? **Developer response:** should be good now, enjoy! ### 4/5 — An excellent workflow tool *2016-04-01* While there are many apps and programs available to do this kind of calculations, there are none that I am aware of which combine so many great studio workflow enhancement tools together in on handy package. I suspect this will become an invaluable bit of kit in the studio and live. A brilliant bit of design by an excellent team. For a free app, this is just excellent. There is an in-app prompt to purchase a recorder but it doesn't bother me. ### 5/5 — Great app *2022-03-31* I (try) to make music. Mostly sample based, "boom bap" hip hop type stuff. While I (try) to make the music based on the feel, vibe, and "using my ear"; my more math oriented/logic brain often trumps the other. So this is a great app that I use quite a bit, when that part of my brain is winning over the other. In certain situations. Would looove to see a "pitch shift bpm loop calculator" feature added though. What I mean by that is a calculator that solves for X. Where X would be the number of semitones a loop of 100 bpm needs to be shifted, to make the loop 110 bpm instead. As an example. Or vice versa, etc etc... **Developer response:** Varispeed is coming in Calc 4.3 — built from this exact request. Now I could use a mac but I don't so I'm a little left out. It's really sad too because I'm a BIG fan of FiRe2, calc & the audio game (it's REALLY the working fix for training because it's there on your iGear of some sort and a quick bus ride is study time ;))!! I'm also glad I bought the FiRe2 when I could because although in able to download it still in my apps saved, others searches return nothing! =( PLEASE KEEP IT UP!
