## What is AudioHaven?

AudioHaven is the audiobook and podcast app for listeners who want control over what they hear. Real-time content filtering lets you skip past profanity, violence,
sexual content, crude humor, and more — without missing a beat of the story.

  HOW IT WORKS

Every title in AudioHaven is reviewed by our team and AI-assisted tagging pipeline. Each instance of objectionable content is tagged with a category, severity, and
exact timestamp. When you listen, AudioHaven seeks past anything you've chosen to filter, in real time — no awkward gaps, no editing, no surprises.

  CHOOSE YOUR FILTERS

  • Seven content categories: profanity, blasphemy, crude humor, violence, sexual content, substance use, and more
  • Three severity tiers — mild, moderate, severe — so you block only what matters to you
  • Per-word control for language: silence specific words while keeping others
  • Per-title overrides — set global defaults, then tune them for any specific book or podcast

  A GROWING CATALOG

  • Thousands of free public-domain audiobooks via LibriVox
  • Podcast support: subscribe, get new-episode alerts, and listen filtered
  • Request a book or podcast and we'll get it tagged
  • Report missing filters — flag a moment we missed and we'll re-screen the chapter

  BUILT FOR EVERYDAY LISTENING

  • CarPlay support — Continue Listening, Library, and Now Playing right on your dashboard
  • Background audio with full lock-screen and Control Center controls
  • Sleep timer with end-of-chapter and duration presets
  • Car Mode with oversized controls for safer driving
  • Variable playback speed (0.5x–3x), skip ±15 seconds, chapter navigation
  • Download titles for offline listening
  • Automatic progress sync — pick up exactly where you left off

  PRIVATE BY DESIGN

  • Your filter preferences and listening history stay tied to your account, never sold
  • No third-party advertising trackers
  • Apple Sign-in supported

AudioHaven is in early access with a curated catalog growing weekly. New titles and filter coverage are added continuously. We'd love to hear what you want filtered

### 5/5 — My honest opinion

*2026-08-25*

Helps you stay focused on the plot and not all the junk

**Developer response:** Thanks! So glad to hear you’re enjoying the AudioHaven!

### 5/5 — Literally an Audio Haven!!

*2026-06-16*

I love to read, and I’ve always had a threshold for explicit content but typically would still read most modern books. I love that now I don’t have to feel like I’m compromising my personal standards anymore, I can still listen to my favorite books or finally listen to the ones I stopped because of content and set filters that work for me. Excited to see where this app goes!!!

### 5/5 — Impressive tech. Amazing app.

*2026-06-15*

I love being able to listen to the most popular podcasts and books without having to be discreet around my kids and normalize words I would rather not use.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for the kind words! This is exactly why I built AudioHaven. Letting families enjoy the books and podcasts they love without that constant worry about what's coming through the speakers was the whole goal. It means a lot to hear it's working for you and your kids. If you ever run into a title you'd like supported or have ideas to make the app better, I'm always listening. Happy reading and listening!

### 5/5 — Finally

*2026-05-09*

Five stars because AudioHaven lets me enjoy audiobooks and podcasts without suddenly getting punched in the ears by language or scenes I wasn’t expecting 😂

Seriously though, I love that I can customize what I hear and make listening feel a lot more comfortable for me and my family. It’s rare to find an app that actually understands not everybody wants “spicy” surprises in the middle of chapter 7.

Easy to use, works great, and honestly makes listening way more relaxing. Highly recommend!

### 5/5 — I’ve waited my whole life for this!

*2026-05-09*

This app is amazing! I use it everyday! I love audiobooks and podcast but have had to avoid some of my favorite shows because of how much language they use, but not anymore! I can listen to all my favorite books and shows without ever having to worry!

• See what's coming up next
• Filter status and reporting from Now Playing
• Imported books now have chapter lists, like everything else
• Cover art shelves on iOS 26, and a See All that reaches your whole library instead of the first eight titles
• Fixed a crash that could end your CarPlay session shortly after connecting

### 1.0.8 — 2026-08-04

Skip marks on the scrubber
The player now shows a mark at every spot your active filters will skip in
the chapter you're listening to. Tap one to see the category, severity, and
roughly how long it runs. Works for your own imported files too.

Browse a book's filters by chapter
The filter sheet has a new By Chapter view alongside the category list, so
you can see where the segments actually fall in a long book instead of only
what kind they are. A new setting under Settings > General picks which view
the sheet opens to.

See All on Browse
Genre, Recently Added, and Filter Your Own Copies rows now have a See All
button when there's more to show, opening a full paged grid. Podcast rows
got it too, including Popular.

Works better without a signal
Reading History, Manage Default Filters, Series, Listening Stats, Taste
Profile, Author pages, and a downloaded book's own filter sheet used to
show errors or empty states when you were offline. They now show what's
already on your device, and say plainly when you're offline instead of
pretending there's nothing there. An Offline badge appears on every tab.

Star ratings are back
Ratings are 1 to 5 stars again everywhere you rate, and your rating shows
on detail pages. There's a Leave a Review row in Settings.

Fixes
- Scrubbing to a spot inside a filtered segment played it instead of
  skipping. It skips now.
- Podcasts with every category switched off played unfiltered with no
warning on screen. The "Filters are off" notice now shows for podcasts
  and imported books too.
- Genre shelves and For You led with titles nobody had listened to yet.
Rankings are corrected, so expect those rows to reshuffle.
- Listening progress saved while offline could be thrown away in a batch
  when you reconnected.
- Adding to your library or subscribing while offline could silently fail
after the app said it worked.
- Starting a new book or podcast could leave the previous imported book's
filters showing in the filter sheet.
- The filter sheet could crash on certain books.
- Importing a file could show its whole description as the narrator name.
Files under ten minutes now ask for confirmation before importing, since
  they're usually not audiobooks.
- A wrong password at login said "something went wrong" instead of saying
  the credentials were wrong.

### 1.0.6 — 2026-06-25

Version 1.0.6

This update brings a new shared-device experience for families, smoother filtering, and a lot of reliability work under the hood.

they'll show up in a new "Shared With You" section.
  - Smoother filtering: More precise, seamless skipping with no audible gaps, plus fixes for occasional over-skipping, volume dips, and stutters during filtered moments.
  - Podcast parity: Episodes now respect your filter settings, including your global "filtered only" preference, just like audiobooks.
  - Filter settings that follow you: Your global filter defaults now sync across your devices.
  - Easier account recovery: Streamlined password reset and email confirmation, plus full Sign in with Apple support including account deletion.
  - Better onboarding & recommendations: A refreshed setup flow and an improved taste profile with genres, sliders, and suggested picks to personalize your library.
  - Imports: Bring in your existing library with guided, per-service walkthroughs and clearer match results.
  - CarPlay: Your place is now saved reliably while listening in the car.
  - More: Listening streaks on the stats screen, a default landing screen preference, and fixes for several crashes and rare cases where your library could appear empty after signing in.

### 1.0.5 — 2026-06-03

This update focuses on reliability and polish:

• Fixed a playback issue that could leave audio muted after switching chapters or returning from the background.
• Improved content-filter accuracy on podcast episodes.
• More reliable downloads, including cleaner handling when you cancel a download in progress.
• Your To-Be-Read list and podcast subscriptions now load smoothly as you scroll through longer lists.
• Sign in with Apple now respects revoked access: if you remove AudioHaven's access to your Apple ID, the app signs you out automatically.
• Behind-the-scenes performance and connection-stability improvements.
