## What is AudioKey 3?

The AudioKey 3 mobile app from MED-EL can be used as a remote control for supported MED-EL audio processors which are SONNET (EAS), SONNET 2 (EAS), SONNET 3 (EAS), and RONDO 3. Additionally, AudioKey 3 lets you customize personal settings, such as the names of programs on the audio processors. AudioKey 3 can be used by caregivers to support other users, such as young children. You can use the Find My Processor functionality to help locate lost or misplaced audio processors. AudioKey 3 also lets you check the usage statistics of the connected audio processors and quickly access helpful support material from MED-EL. If you own a MED-EL streaming device, you can configure it with AudioKey 3.

doesn't configure, complicated setup, does not pair proper, get either left or right only. app truly sucks. would be better if only iphone would pair and connect in hearing devices instead of reliance on this app.

### 1/5 — Med-El hasn’t quite nailed Bluetooth

I have been using Med-El products for just over a year and want to provide feedback on the user experience. While the devices themselves are effective in improving my hearing, the Bluetooth connectivity and software support remain ongoing challenges.

Despite having strong technical skills, I have found it very difficult to establish and maintain connections. When reliable audio is needed, it is not practical to spend hours—or even weeks—trying to troubleshoot. This creates unnecessary frustration and limits the benefit of the devices.

The hardware is functional, but the software ecosystem (both desktop and mobile) needs significant improvement. The interface is not intuitive, the workflow is confusing, and the online support videos do little to assist users. If greater attention and investment were put into usability and connection stability, the overall user experience would align much better with the premium cost of these devices.

I value what Med-El has done for my hearing, but I strongly encourage improvements in Bluetooth reliability and software design, as these are now central to the day-to-day usability of the product.

Nachdem die App na h dem Update erst nicht lief, läuft sie nach einer kompletten Neuinstallation wiederhole Probleme.

Ever since updating on iPhone 16 pro, the app is sluggish to connect first time every day.  Spins awhile, connects to one, long pause connects to second processor.  This was not an issue prior to the update this week.

Ich habe AudioKey 3 nun seit 10 Tagen und muss feststellen, dass es deutlich instabiler ist als der Vorgänger…ansonsten auch keine weiteren essenziellen Verbesserungen in der Handhabung… da ist weiterhin viel Luft nach oben….
