### 1/5 — Pay only

*2024-10-17*

Can’t try or test without handing over money for something that may not work for you. So I have to assume it doesn’t work for me. Been ripped off to many times.

### 1/5 — Should not even be on the App Store

*2024-10-01*

This app is so poorly made. It’s beyond description. Nearly impossible to get through the registration process using the app. I had to go online to do that. The fact that it has not been updated in six years, tells you everything you need to know. I would expect better from a free app never mind one that’s charging you a fee. Look at the other reviews. Don’t waste your time. I am shocked that the UCSF tinnitus management clinic recommended this to me.

### 1/5 — Garbage

*2024-05-09*

This app is misleading in saying its free. People who download this app are already suffering. You then need to say this free and screw with those already suffering?? Yes, in some tiny print it does explain the charges, however the App Store lists it as free. That makes you pretty horrible in my book. Screw you.

### 1/5 — Promising but the app fails

*2024-04-02*

I’ve created an account, but the sign in fails.

### 1/5 — Waste of time

*2023-08-12*

It’s just an advert for the over-priced subscription app.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work. Don’t pay.

*2023-04-27*

This app is a rip off. I paid for the 2 month trial and when I went to “create therapy” and create the notched sounds, it crashed. And no response to support emails. Don’t give these scam artists any money!

### 1/5 — Zero opportunity to try before you pay

*2023-04-01*

Immediately presents with a demand for payment to use the app without having any clue whether it works or not.

$129 for what, exactly? Who knows. I’ll never find out.

### 1/5 — App will not let me login, so it’s useless.

*2022-07-29, version 1.0.4*

I want my money back

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work. No help

*2022-05-31*

This app does NOT work. I cannot adjust the volumn. I cannot adjust the pitch. It is useless. It worked great about 1 1/2 years ago so I bought a (very expensive) year subscription. Since then I can’t get the app to do anything. I get no help when I contact the developer. DO NOT BUY!

### 1/5 — In app purchases or it doesn’t work

*2021-10-24*

Promising, but frustrated to find I have to buy months of access to see if it even works.

### 1/5 — Paid but no Service

*2021-07-06*

Paid the 2 month service fee over a week ago but the App says I haven’t paid up. PayPal shows that I paid. Sent a couple emails asking the App what’s happening but no one has responded. Can’t tell what’s going on. Seems as if customer service needs some work.

### 1/5 — A total waste of money

*2021-05-28, version 1.0.4*

Could’ve bought a decent pair of shoes for the cost of this lousy app.

### 1/5 — doesn’t work, abandonware

*2021-01-28*

The frequency slider on the tuning setup section doesn’t work

The in app cost of using it for a year is €109

### 1/5 — Terrible App, Terrible Customer Service

*2020-07-30*

It doesn’t work. I don’t mean it didn’t fix my tinnitus; I mean the app simply doesn’t work. You pay the outrageous fee to use the premium features... and then there are none. And then they refuse to refund you, blaming Apple. Apple won’t refund it either. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

### 1/5 — Needs a trial

*2020-07-23, version 1.0.4*

While notch therapy may have some merits, it’s very hard to suggest an app with no trial.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — 垃圾，骗钱软件

*2026-06-26*

别下，被骗了698

### 1/5 — Bewirkt bei mir das Gegenteil

*2026-05-05*

Kann nur für mich selbst sprechen: es bewirkt bei mir das Gegenteil und verstärkt meinen Tinnitus. Werde ich nie wieder nutzen.

### 1/5 — I missed reading reviews and regret

*2025-07-11*

It is nothing but a file which will make white noise. Please don’t download and save yourself time and money

### 1/5 — Don't even bother

*2025-05-26*

The registration works terribly, and nothing is possible without paying money. Zero concern for tinnitus sufferers, just trying to make a buck.

### 1/5 — They will not refund or reply to you

*2025-02-25, version 1.0.4*

I was really excited to use this product and purchased it through their website. After downloading their app on my iPhone, it crashed immediately after putting the username and password. I tried to contact them and got no response. I then asked for a refund and got no response. I am now resulting to contacting the bank for a chargeback.

Be warned that they do put right in their terms and conditions that you cannot get a refund from them unless you’ve made the purchase through their website. In my case I did and they’re still not giving a refund.

### 1/5 — Can’t register

*2025-02-20*

They’ll take your money, but then you can’t go in and register on their app, really a bad app that needs to be updated … You’ll do better on the website

### 1/5 — App sucks

*2025-02-05*

I’ve downloaded the app. Tried to register it shut down on me. Finally got it open. Won’t let me register. Went to website. Still can’t login on the app. Very frustrating

### 1/5 — Unable to login

*2025-01-23*

The app neither allows me to create a new account but it also does not enable sign in (after creating the account on the web version )

### 1/5 — Dead software

*2025-01-08, version 1.0.4*

Bad

### 1/5 — Login

*2024-11-06*

I can’t login. It’s not working. Nothing is working. I paid for nothing. Please fix that!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — New version much better

*2025-08-28*

The new version is great! The previous version which had some issues last time I tried it

### 5/5 — Tinnitus treatment

*2019-09-23, version 1.0.4*

Tinnitus treatment was successful. Matched my frequency at the audiologist.

### 5/5 — Works well

*2019-09-23*

Really good tinnitus therapy and service.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2019-05-06*

incredible application, made my life a lot easier race, thank you very much for developing this idea, you are incredible

### 5/5 — Effective and easy to use!!!

*2018-01-01*

Simple and straightforward tinnitus app. Far more intuitive and effective than others.

I’m no longer struggling through conversations like Sterling Archer.

### 5/5 — Companion website makes the app worth it

*2017-12-27*

Overall I'm pretty satisfied with this. With the website, I can process my own music on the site and then have it download into the app directly so that's actually easier than other apps that need you to upload the music files onto the phone itself (not very convenient).

### 4/5 — Works for me

*2025-08-08*

I’ve been using AudioNotch over the last couple of weeks and I’ve noticed a difference.

I had tried the app before but it wasn’t working. I assume it was recently updated.

I continue to use the service as I haven’t had a full remission of my tinnitus ringing but I’m hopeful.

### 4/5 — Does something

*2021-01-30*

I have very severe tinnitus. A continuous tone and 8.2khz which varies between ‘horrible but tolerable’ to ‘head in hands crying’.
It’s true I would do anything to try and fix it. So I tried this and am still only days into it. As an app, it does exactly what it says. It applies a notch filter centred on the tinnitus frequency. The idea is to train the brain away from that frequency. I cannot fault the app itself or the web version. They both do what they say. The price is fine, but then I’d pay anything for a cure. The jury is out on whether it works. The notched natural noise is certainly soothing while you listen to it and that is something in itself. Whether it trains the brain for a long time fix, I don’t yet know.

### 3/5 — FIX The navigation please

*2023-03-12*

This app could be good but it is half baked. There should be a free trial. I’m pretty sure I already paid and it keeps prompting me to pay again, when I emailed support - no answer. In the iphone app, the navigation disappears on some pages and then I have to close the app to get out. With a little more work this could be awesome and for those suffering, it does offer relief. But fix the bugs.

### 2/5 — Unable to sign in

*2026-01-16*

I created an account which is not recognized in the app. There is no help, support or FAQ. I am hoping a developer reads this and helps me sign it.
