Well, now, it’s only my second day to use it, but I must admit all of its icons are very tiny, and you can barely see them. If there is any icon for helping to style and make your dictation for journaling look any more well polished, it fails at that, and all my dictation mistakes are still there just as if I was using my iPhone’s free “Notes” app. I am not sure if I’ll spring for the second month of this one. I might write it out for another day or two and see if there’s any help on the way. Otherwise, I’ll stop the monthly payments that I signed for.

Regarding the styles you mentioned, AudioPen is highly customizable. You can choose any style and adjust the rewrite intensity for any voice note you create with it. I’d be happy to show you a demo of that as well.

Title is self explanatory. 2mins is not nearly enough and also you lose the chance to append to notes… if you are not willing to spend 100€ don’t bother installing it

But for now, you actually have unlimited local transcriptions for the AudioPen iOS keyboard even on the free plan. If you haven't tried it yet, I'd encourage you to give it a shot. You might like it. 

I'm a one-person team, so I need to make sure I'm growing sustainably. That's why I have to set certain limits on the free plan. Thank you for understanding.

A thoroughly indispensable tool in my developing AI tool kit. This voice to text application is now an integral part of my workflow every day. I really don’t know what I used to do before it came along. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Great product. Has changed my life. The offline transcription, and iPad and IPhone updates keep this app as number one in this category. That with constant updates and comms from Louis the developer make this a serious contender. You will not be disappointed.

It would be cool if you could include pictures in the notes, like a journal entry with a photo. Also if the entries bore not just the date, but also the time of day at which they were created.

I’ve been using this app since it was launched and it keeps getting better and more useful! Quick voice transcriptions, amazing controls, easy interface! Super recommend it!

### 3/5 — A Premium for 15 minutes

I was astonished to find that, for the Prime service, at $100/yr, you can only capture 15 minutes of audio. That is a huge amount of money for that little of a product. Check literally any other transcription app. You’ll get 3x audio transcription capacity, all other features, and only pay $50/yr.

**Developer response:** Hey! I've limited the time to 15 mins per live recording for a few reasons. 
1. I use the best AI models to process audio and text, and some of them struggle with maintaining quality for longer recordings (especially in lesser spoken languages). That's why I prioritise quality over quantity, and limit the size of the recordings.
2. A vast majority of recordings (>95%) taken by people capturing their thoughts are under 15 minutes. Even for those that do want to cross that threshold, it probably benefits them to take a short break before restarting
3. Often, devices throttle the recording process, and this could result in a longer recording getting cut off unknowingly. The 15 minute gap lets me reduce that risk for users.

I hope you'll understand where I'm coming from. The limit is not created as a way to annoy users, but I've done it in good faith.

What sounded like a good idea has turned into something that I depend on every day. I love using this easy it’s accurate. It’s great to use and the iPhone and Mac apps are just fantastic

Ich bin eigentlich jemand, der nicht oft Bewertungen schreibt. 

Ich muss jedoch sagen, dass AudioPen ist eine wirklich grandiose App, die von einem sehr engagierten Entwickler entwickelt wird. 

Louis nimmt sich das Feedback seiner Kunden zu Herzen. Ich habe die Entwicklung von Beginn an unterstützt und bin wirklich sehr zufrieden mit der App.

Sie hilft mir im Alltag ungemein, nicht nur beim Lernen, sondern auch, wenn ich schnell Nachrichten beantworten möchte oder gerade keine Hand frei habe. 

Die neue Addition der Apple Watch App ist wirklich sehr gelungen.

Ich kann sie wirklich nur wärmstens empfehlen!

I use AudioPen mainly as a way of clearing my mind. It’s like talking to a friend I just tell it everything I’m thinking without bothering to edit or filter in any way and then I hit stop and the app takes over. 
I love the way it syncs to the desktop notes are there typed up for me to review whenever I like.
If like me you get your best ideas in the middle of the night or what you think might be your best idea ideas but you forgotten them by morning then AudioPen is ideal. I can pick up my phone and whisper away to my heart’s content and then read it all back in the morning.
I don’t normally review apps, but I heartily recommend this one.

It's amazing that this app is made by a single developer. I use this app all the time now, and it's pretty much the only way I interact with my machine. It's that good. It helps me turn unstructured conversation into structured notes super fast from free-flowing conversation. It's been a productivity game changer. I also really appreciate how processing stays on the device when I want added privacy.

Siri looks completely outdated once you've tried this app. It lets you turn speech into meaningful, properly formatted text in any field or program — with just one shortcut. It works really well and makes my life a lot easier.

I have tried many different dictation apps and this is, without a doubt, the best one. It works simply, it works well, and it works with every app on my MacBook.

I used the app about 2 years ago for a whole year and was in love with it. I repurchased subscription this year and honestly it got just more annoying and more expensive. 

Poor quality of summaries; not deciphering well words said; UI design of the phone app is uncomfortable and not obvious: when I just want to read the note I cannot do it because every tap on screen prompts to edits of the note. I JUST WANT TO READ IT. 

I constantly have to download the note, upload it back and do the summary again because the processing of summaries constantly stacks. And the limit of 15 min was not increased for long long time… why it have to be 15 min only I don’t understand.

There is nothing free, it actively pushes for people to pay for their pro version..nothing else.
I downloaded it upon suggestion from a workshop ( probably paid by the company), I decided to trial the free version and then eventually move to the paid one if I liked it. The problem is the free version is useless, I made a 2 minutes voice note in plain english and it’s been 40 minutes saying “preparing transcription” and then it does nothing. Every time the phone locks or I receive a notification, it will stop and say “transcription failed, retry”. Complete waste of time. I am deleting my account and the app the second I finish this review. It clearly just pushes for paid version.

I haven’t yet decided whether I need AudioPen long term, but in the week or so I’ve used it, I have found it seriously handy for drafting emails and dictating text messages. No matter what I decide going forward, I want to complement the thought and care put into this app and its onboarding by its creator. Top notch.

I love this app. I've been a Prime member for nearly a year now. I don't use the app that much, but when I do, it comes in handy and it's perfect. Well worth it.

Also, the developer has been incredibly productive over the last several months and has made some huge changes and improvements. I also love the Mac app. I love using it as a keyboard on the Mac app, and I'm thrilled that he added that function for the phone as well.

I highly recommend you check out this app. It's way ahead of any app in the same category.

I love this app! I have adhd and struggle to explain things in perfect sense, have the attention span to type it all out, and remember what I was trying to say. So this app completely changes things for me. I don’t have to focus on typing and forgetting what I say, It saves me so much time, and it writes it all down beautiful and clear. It doesn’t change what I say it might just level up a few words depending on what you choice to write about, but that’s definitely not a bad thing! I’d 100% recommend! Also when doing Bible studies it’s SO handy to get your thoughts out about scripture so easily and put it into a lovely note. I think the only down side is just that it gives you a time limit to say everything in but i haven’t yet looked into it and see if it can be changed so don’t let this put you off it’s probably just something I haven’t figured out yet! Hope this helps!

At the push of a button AudioPen records, my thoughts, a transcribes them into easy to use text for multiple purposes. The AI built into the app can take your words and formats them into different themes as needed if you so choose to do so. It takes recording thoughts when a keyboard is not accessible to the next level and ramps up productivity by accurately taking my vocal comments and transcribing them and ready to paste format. It even gives you the opportunity to add specialized words into the data base.
