### 4/5 — Amazing demo

*2026-05-01*

So I’m not a musician. Yep. BUT I do like to listen to music and it’s good for holding audio files and the pitch changes are mostly clear, if a bit crunchy on higher speeds. Another app I tried doesn’t even allow renaming songs so this is my go to for slow down.

### 2/5 — Works but subscription is BS

*2026-01-13, version 5.1.14*

This app, which has a very simple function, simply is not worth subscribing to. A onetime payment of 4.99, 7.99, whatever would be sufficient, but expecting an annual fee for unlimited projects? Give me a break dude, everyone’s trying to jack you these days.

### 3/5 — 하,,,,

*2025-10-19*

**Developer response:** 불편을 끼쳐드려 죄송합니다.
문제 조사를 위해 앱 설정 페이지에서 버그 리포트를 작성해 주시면 감사하겠습니다.
알려주셔서 감사합니다!

### 1/5 — Ruined by the Developer

*2025-10-11, version 5.1.6*

Used to be one of the only free apps on iOS that provided the simple feature of using an equalizer and pitch shifter for playing back audio files. Now the developer has restricted core features like fine pitch shifting, EQ, and having more than 3 files loaded behind a paywall. Each update effectively bricks the app more and more and renders it useless. You might as well just play audio from your native iOS files app.

DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP OR SUPPORT THIS DEVELOPER AND THEIR METHODS. FORGET THEIR JUSTIFICATIONS

### 1/5 — App is now useless

*2025-10-02, version 5.1.4*

Everything is locked down behind subscriptions. Delete app.

### 3/5 — Limited functionality

*2025-09-29*

The functionality is fairly limited. For example, you can’t place marks on the timeline, for example, to mark where a chorus begins and ends. When I set up loops, they do not persist from session to session. Also, I don’t understand the interface. I understood it when I had the free version, but it is different for the paid version. You can’t just pick a song and play it you have to create a project. It’s confusing. All that said. This is a decent app if you just want topractice and be able to create loops, change the key of a song and speed it up and slow it down. No frills for sure.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback! Your input is really valuable and I’ll take it into account as I continue to improve the interface and add new features. Persisting loops is a feature we’re already working on, and it should be available soon.

Update:
In version 5.1.6, loops are now persisted even when they’re turned off.

### 1/5 — Preferred old version

*2025-09-27, version 5.1.4*

It was way better without the subscription added

### 1/5 — Updated to be paid

*2025-09-26*

This app was the absolute best! For me personally I would use it to learn to play songs by slowing down the music or changing the tones. But after the recent update that locked features behind a pay wall it is no longer good. It honestly upset me, this app had its features for free for so long but now out of nowhere they decided to make it paid. I’ll definitely be looking for an alternative.

**Developer response:** Thanks for your feedback. We understand how frustrating it can be when features change. In order to keep improving the app and continue developing new updates, we had to move some features to a paid plan. That said, we’ve worked to make sure the free version still includes the core functionality. We hope you’ll reconsider using the app in the future!

### 1/5 — Bah

*2025-09-22, version 5.1.3*

Paying for such a basic feature is ridiculous. I wish there was a way to get back to previous version. Any case, there are easy work around. The app was good while it lasted!

### 1/5 — Why the subscription?!!!

*2025-09-11*

So let me explain this and please read this, it’s very important, I used to love using this app because everything about using the music library was FREE to use because it’s the music I get to pick whatever I want, but ever since I updated it I’m not longer allowed to use my music library for free PERMANENTLY, it’s just not fair for everyone to just add a subscription that includes the music library for NO reason. I mean 25$ JUST for the music library? I’m sorry but I can’t use a music pitcher app if it has a subscription or when I feel forced to pay such an expensive price so I could be allowed to use my music library. PLEASE FIX that and make it free again, I’m sadly no longer gonna use the app anymore not unless everything is free.

**Developer response:** Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. Subscriptions help us keep developing and improving the app, but we absolutely want free users to still be able to enjoy it. To clarify: you can still pick songs from your library with no restrictions — the limit in the free version is that you can have up to 3 projects. The subscription is only needed if you’d like to create unlimited projects and unlock all the advanced features. We hope you’ll give the latest version another try!

### 1/5 — Nope

*2025-09-06, version 5.1.2*

Was one of the best free music apps. Now you’re forced to pay or spend hours deleting your entire history of music listened to because of the new 3 project limit. Uninstalled.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Bah

*2026-04-12, version 5.1.18*

Paying for such a basic feature is ridiculous. I wish there was a way to get back to previous version. Any case, there are other apps working as well. The app was good while it lasted!

### 1/5 — Used to be free :(

*2026-02-10, version 5.1.17*

I am really disappointed that features which used to be free are now blocked by subscription. I understand why you did it, but it’s hard to see such a perfect app take this turn. The app didn’t need to be developed further, it was perfect as is. I’ll miss it. Thanks for the wonderful ride, I fear this is where we part ways 😭

### 1/5 — I don’t like the app anymore! 👎🏻

*2026-01-21*

This app used to be fun to use but now it’s you have to pay to make new projects, I want it back to the way it used to be otherwise I will delete it and look for a different app that is similar to yours and free entirely like it says it is! You are lying about the app being free now if you have to pay to use it! I don’t recommend this app to anyone now because it’s a scam to get your money out of you for it to be considered free!

**Developer response:** Hello, the app is free to try and includes up to three free projects. Continued use beyond that requires a subscription or a lifetime purchase, which is clearly explained in the App Store description.

We’re sorry the current model didn’t meet your expectations and appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.

### 1/5 — Useless and Paywall’d

*2025-12-28*

If this developer was worth paying money to, he wouldn’t make excuses for why DRM-protected music can’t also be speed and pitch modified and looped. It’s 100% possible and can be seen in similar apps like Transcribe+ so no, even though the “developer” of a once-useful app will respond to this with some useless drivel like, “We’re sorry you don’t find this to your liking and we hope you’ll come back and give us another chance in the future…” Well… Shove that chance REALLY far up the rear. It will have better luck there.

**Developer response:** AudioTweak has never supported DRM-protected music and this limitation is clearly stated in the App Store description.

We understand this may not meet everyone’s needs and we encourage users to try the app’s capabilities with the free trial before subscribing to ensure it’s a good fit.

### 1/5 — used to be amazing...til it went money hungry(ーー゛)

*2025-12-10, version 5.1.12*

i used to use this app a lot over another app called edjing for tuning purposes for songs that have a flat sound and i had a lot of projects. the last time i opened the app it gave me a paywall screen for everything. im absolutely disappointed with the developers for thinking this was a good idea. app was deleted months ago and i don't plan on redownloading it whatsoever. shame, shame, shame.

### 1/5 — Why?

*2025-12-10, version 5.1.12*

Why did the company start charging for this? Everything was awesome when it was free. I'm not about to pay a year's subscription to edit sound values of a song.

This was a unique sound app, now it's just like all of the others....paid.

### 1/5 — Core Features Behind Paywall

*2025-11-29, version 5.1.11*

I used to use this app every day for transposing my music, mainly pitch shifting. Now I can’t import files, only things from my camera roll. Features I once came to this app for were removed for profit. There are better apps for this functionality that are free, go elsewhere

### 1/5 — Removing Features.

*2025-11-26, version 5.1.10*

Removing features and putting them behind a paywall (that noone is going to pay for) instead of streamlining the app is never acceptable.

### 1/5 — Keine kostenlose Option mehr.

*2025-11-06*

Schade, dass keine kostenlose, eingeschränkte Version, gerne auch mit Werbung, mehr angeboten wird. Ich muss wohl eine Alternative einsetzen. Liebe Entwickler, überdenkt doch mal euer Geschäftsmodell.

### 1/5 — Great and Wonderful!! Positive!

*2025-10-29*

Actually freaking ffffing horrible, every single action that USED TO BE FREE is now hidden behind a paywall. You can only have 3 projects and you have to pay to get more. You can’t change the song in a project after saving (unless you want to pay). Also, the quality after it’s been sped up/slowed down wasn’t really that good to begin with. I recommend using a free DAW online or buy a high-end one for a computer/laptop that does the job a lot better.

The cheapest version of FL Studio should allow you to do this with ease (turn on “stretch” after importing song as an audio file, then pull the very end edge of the song forward or backward to decrease or increase speed and pitch simultaneously. You can adjust the pitch manually by clicking the file in the channel rack, then clicking and dragging the pitch knob up (+200 cents) for fast or down (-200) for slow.) Hope this helps!

**Developer response:** Thanks for your feedback! AudioTweak’s core features like changing speed and pitch remains completely free without a subscription. You can create up to 3 projects, and each one can be edited without any limits.

We’re sorry to hear the audio quality didn’t meet your expectations. AudioTweak uses Apple’s native audio frameworks, so the output quality should normally be high. Feel free to reach out to us directly so we can look into what might be happening on your device. We’d be happy to help!

*2026-03-30, version 5.1.18*

I love this app so much, but I just can’t ever afford to subscribe to and pay for the premium version features at all. I loved how it used to be before. I’m sorry.

Amazing and good app

### 5/5 — Amazing app

*2025-11-29*

I honestly don’t think I’ve ever written a review on the Apple Store, but this app is seriously amazing. As a musician I’ve been looking for a transcription app with a great layout where I can upload multiple different files at once without having spend $20. I’ve been cycling through different apps for 2-3 years when I finally found AudioTweak. It has great features like, pitching down and up, slowing down, and a really good layout that allows you to select and loop different sections easily. I can honestly say it’s completely worth your time to download and use this app. Thanks guys!

Yessir the best app for real mc and dj and producer Real music for the heart

### 5/5 — A free app I would gladly pay money for!

*2025-04-22*

This is the most straightforward option for someone new to transcribing and has become a must-use for me. I would gladly pay a one-time fee to unlock this app if it weren’t free!
