## What is Augur Fuel?

Augur sets your daily calorie and macro targets from your training, and checks that you are eating enough to train.

Your target is built from:
1. your basal metabolic rate
2. your training demands
3. your goals.

Rest days, easy days, hard days, long days and race days each get their own calorie and macro targets. If you want your own numbers, set a calorie target for each type of training day, or one number for every day.

Fueling that follows your training
- Tell us your weekly training plan, and your targets will change.
- A harder workout than planned, recorded in Apple Health or WHOOP, will automatically raise your target.
- Race days and the days leading into a race get their own targets.
- Each training day shows how many grams of carbs and how much fluid to take in per hour during your session.

An underfueling check:
- We compare what you eat with your weight trend and your goal, and tell you when you are not eating enough to support your training.

Log food your way
- Search foods, scan a barcode, or type what you ate in plain words.
- Take a photo of your meal, or scan a menu or nutrition label before you order.
- Enter portions in grams, ounces or servings, with decimals.
- Track vitamins and minerals alongside your macros.

A coach that knows your data
Ask the coach about your meals, training and weight trend. The coach reads your logs, so the answers are about you. Each month you get a report on how your fueling matched your training.

Learn
Short, sourced guides on carb intake, timing and fueling for training.

Works with your devices:
Augur reads workouts, sleep and weight from Apple Health, bringing in data from Strava, Garmin, Oura and Fitbit. Foods you log can be saved to Apple Health with their macros, vitamins and minerals. You can also scan a body composition report or a blood panel, and we save the numbers the report printed. Connect Claude or ChatGPT to log food and ask about your data from those apps.

Subscription
Start with a 7-day free trial. After the trial, Augur Annual is $199.99 per year. Payment is charged to your Apple ID when the trial ends. ### 1.0.20 — 2026-09-20

Your fueling plan, every week

Your home screen now carries a standing call on your fueling: whether your meals this week have kept up with what your training demanded, or fallen short. It says plainly when there is not enough logged to call it. Tap the call to see the math behind it, and when the app proposes a target correction, one tap accepts it. If your weight has held still for four weeks while your goal is to lose or gain, the app says so instead of calling the week on track.

Five questions each morning

Each morning the app asks five quick questions about yesterday: appetite, energy, mood, drive, and sleep. Once you have a week of answers, Trends shows how your fueling on one day tracks with how you felt the next, and when your appetite runs high or low for days against your goal, the app names it and proposes one change. You can also add an optional cycle track under Trends, kept private and never shared with your coach.

Training days inform your plan

Set your training week once, then declare a race or override a single day. Each day's calorie goal comes from that plan, so a long-run day is priced before you head out. Macros follow in the mode you choose: scale everything with the day, or hold protein and fat and let carbs move. The same day-by-day goals show on home, in Trends, and in what your coach reads.

Food search that actually finds what you meant

Results are grouped into Yours, Common foods, and Branded, with the plain everyday name first. Typos fall through to a closest-match pass, and a verified mark shows which rows come from a checked source. Each result shows calories, protein, carbs, fat, and fiber. Under every list sit four exits when the food is not there: scan a barcode, scan a nutrition label, create a custom food, or describe it.

Portions that you actually use

Tapping a food opens a portion sheet with a typed count, the unit word, and grams beside it, household units first. Meat and fish open on weight, eggs open on "1 large", and nothing invents a 100 g serving. The app remembers the last portion you logged for each food and opens there next time.

A monthly report

At the end of each month the app builds a report, emails it to you, and keeps it in Trends. It covers calories against your guideline week by week, days logged, the month's weight trend, and recovery from your connected devices. Charts enlarge on a tap, and every figure is explained in plain words.

Your coach, on every screen

The coach tab is gone; your coach now opens from a button on every screen. Log a plate photo, a barcode, or a typed meal inside the conversation, and the entry shows up as its own card with what the app assumed. Ask for a chart and one renders in the reply. Conversations are grouped by day, past threads can be reopened and continued, and asking the coach to delete an entry prompts a confirmation first.

A warmer look and quality-of-life fixes

The light theme moves to warm parchment and sand, and dark mode runs across the app. Settings for your phone's health app showed "not available"; it connects correctly now. Editing a portion in ounces inflated the macros; that is fixed, and diary rows show the portion you typed. Streaks and Week in Review weight figures now count correctly, and a wearable connection that has stopped syncing says so and offers a reconnect.

### 1.0.16 — 2026-08-04

Faster search, sharper scanning, and honest numbers.

- Food search is dramatically faster. Searches that used to take up to ten seconds now return right away.
- Fixed a bug where the search box would fight your typing and re-insert text you had already changed.
- Better serving size matching, so a sausage no longer gets the nutrition of a chicken breast.
- Label scanning now captures at full photo resolution instead of a low-res viewfinder frame, so blurry scans and misread labels are far less common.
- Printed calories on a nutrition label are now trusted over our own estimate.
- Nutrients a food source never measured now show as "n/a" instead of a misleading 0. This applies across search results, barcode scans, the diary, and daily totals.
- Today's weight entry now appears immediately after you log it.
- Weight values and their unit label always agree, in every place they appear.
- Deleted diary entries stay deleted, including after you close and reopen the app.
- Opening the app with no connection now shows your last known numbers instead of a blank screen.
- Fixed a crash on the Analytics tab and corrected week boundaries so weekly stats line up with the calendar.
- The goal editor now previews your adjusted macros as you type, and macro targets stay inside safe, documented ranges.
- Your coach conversation now ends and summarizes itself after you have been away, and the recent conversation card reflects what you actually discussed.
- Siri logging opens straight to the right screen instead of arriving several seconds late.
- AI text logging now shows which meal your food will be added to before you confirm.
- Each diary entry now shows how it was logged, whether by hand, by scan, by Siri, or by your coach.
- Lab results now use consistent in-range classification everywhere.
- The AI recipe builder fully supports dark mode.
- Recent foods and the food catalog load noticeably faster.
- Fixed health stats that showed 0% when there was simply no data to report.

### 1.0.14 — 2026-07-25
