However, due to an app bug that has not been resolved, I can only click on my work and see the feedback for 2 seconds before it randomly disappears! **Developer response:** Hello! We look forward to hearing from you. ### 1/5 — Terrible app *2025-05-14, version 9.0.19* Can’t log in, keeps returning me to the main sight! ### 3/5 — you can’t access the assignment section on your phone as promised *2025-04-16* I’m really confused. they added a big update saying you could now access the assessments tab and submit assignments in your phone. but it doesn’t work. it directs you to a webpage in app that tells you to download the app that you are literally using to access that page. **Developer response:** Hello! It lacks an intuitive structure that should seamlessly display conversations, collaboration efforts, and discussions about class materials. The absence of a user-friendly interface hampers the overall user experience, hindering effective communication between students and educators. Aula's shortcomings become evident in its failure to provide a cohesive space for students and educators to engage in discussions related to class materials. Thanks! ### 2/5 — Keep being logged out after 2 or more days *2024-02-21, version 9.0.9* Keeps logging me out if I don't log in for a couple of days. Gets really annoying the app should save passwords and logins. ### 2/5 — Reducing availability by updating out old devices. *2024-02-21, version 9.0.9* I can no longer use Aula without spending money I don’t have as the update appears to be mandatory and won’t work on 12 iOS. Uni. ### 2/5 — Keeps logging me out *2024-02-21, version 9.0.9* When I go onto the app I keep getting logged out ### 1/5 — Why do I need to login almost every time I use this app??? *2024-02-03* 1) Every few days, when I open Aula iPhone app it shows me a prompt to enter email and password as if I didn't ever use this app for the last several years. What is that? Security concerns? Then make FaceID or fingerprint support! 2) Aula icon on the iPhone home screen almost always shows that I have one unread notification, only for me to find that there isnt one when I launch it, login to it (again) and check for notifications. **Developer response:** Hello! When clicking on it, the page just disappears and I always try to remember the specific words from the notification to search for it. 2- It is NOT easy to find any lesson, submission, or a presentation posted on Aula. There should be definitely a “upcoming events/upcoming assignments” section which CAN SHOW every assignment instead of requiring to click on every lesson one by one, clicking on “Journey”, then finding “assignments” and “module essentials” every time. 3- It is exhausting to use. Even on pc, scrolling down a page is hard because there are different sections in a page and every time I try to scroll down either the pdf document or the inner page scrolls down, not the outer one. 4- Again, it is SO HARD to find anything. Once upon a time our professor shared the timetable for the semester, I took a screenshot of it and that screenshot saved my life. Because I couldn’t find the same timetable again. I cannot click on every link, every section whenever I try to find something. Everyone’s time is valuable and it is really annoying. 5- There is no way to upload a document or see the grade from the mobile version. Definitely something needed. 6- There should be a “MAIN PAGE” that we can find the required links/pages in. 7- Even the full-names of the lessons cannot be seen because of the word limit. No lecturer information, no timetable information, nothing. Really bad. I graduated so I am deleting this app. Hopefully I will never see it again. **Developer response:** Hi Mary Jane. Most of the points you've listed can be sorted out in some few steps. For example, #3 is just a matter of placing the mouse cursor out of the PDF doc, so the outer page will scroll down. Logs you out every time you go on it even when you ask it to keep you signed in. Discussion post reading felt like a chore. On the other hand, in my personal life I’m an enthusiastic user of instagram and facebook. While those vehicles have their issues, I want to say that using Aula as an educator has re-energized my desire to engage because I’m “pulled” to the interface in the way I enjoy instagram and facebook. The simplicity and attractive nature of the interface has given me a new motivation to engage with students. I’m grateful for the parsimony and engaging design.
