### 2/5 — Do not buy

*2026-04-20, version 3.20.0*

I purchased the device and downloaded the app. Pleased at first, ended up needing to use the xxl band. After minimal use the band started breaking. I reached out to support. No response after multiple emails across 3 weeks. Tried to buy replacement band, size and color sold out. Now the band has completely broke…no response from support. $160….what a waste for a couple weeks of use. While it was able to be used I did like the app/integration. Buyer beware.

### 4/5 — Band broke

*2025-11-08, version 3.20.0*

I love the app and what it does but a month in and my band busted. Thankful they sent two sizes so I could change it but worried how long till this one snaps

### 2/5 — Non funziona

*2025-09-11, version 3.19.1*

Funziona una volta si è 10 non funziona, mi dà sempre errore di misurazione. Soldi buttati. Non date retta ad altre recensioni. E’ una truffa

### 3/5 — Questionable reliability

*2025-09-05, version 3.19.1*

When it works correctly, Aura is very informative. But the problem is that it falsely detects body contact or loss of direct touch to the sensor —- resulting in bad data and nothing recorded. Many have complained about this and no updates have been available. It is expensive for just a piece of rubber with some metal.

### 1/5 — Poor quality

*2025-08-22, version 3.19.0*

I got this and had high hopes for it. The first one worked for only a few weeks. I contacted them and they sent another. That one worked about a week before it too just wouldn’t recognize me trying to take a measurement and is just broken. So I have an expensive watch band that does nothing. Pretty disappointed and don’t even want to bother getting another replacement.

### 1/5 — Never works.

*2025-08-12, version 3.18.2*

Hard time connecting!

### 1/5 — Good until you pay

*2025-08-10, version 3.18.2*

The band was pretty good at taking measurements until I paid for a membership. Now it won’t even recognize me or says to stop touching my hands but they aren’t. Seems like an expensive scam to me.

### 1/5 — Tempting But Don’t

*2025-08-08, version 3.18.2*

I know it sounds tempting but it’s such a cheap device. You can try to use it, and out of 10 times it won’t work 11 times

It’s that bad

### 1/5 — Glitchy

*2025-08-01, version 3.18.2*

I cannot even try out plus because it gitches and jumps around. I cannot make a selection. Upon reading other reviews I'm now questioning the accuracy as well

### 1/5 — Junk

*2025-07-27, version 3.18.1*

Only 1 out of every 12 attempts will actually be a successful reading. Reposition after reposition moist skin, dry skin doesn’t matter. Replaced the battery and no change. I paid for the strap and the app but can never use it.

### 1/5 — Aura Strap 2 Waste of Money

*2025-07-22, version 3.18.1*

If I could give it zero stars I would, purchased in June 25 stoped working 2 days later, received a replacement band 2 days ago and lo and behold the exact same thing.

Absolutely useless piece of kit, avoid this company at all costs.

### 1/5 — Utter Garbage

*2025-07-18, version 3.18.1*

I was able to get exactly 5 readings out of my strap before trying many many many many more readings I’ve done every single bit of advice. They’ve given me. I’ve tried all the training they’ve given me and I still can’t get a good read out of my band. I’m of course long passed the return window, etc. etc. and I’m very frustrated to say the least.

### 1/5 — Don’t waste your money

*2025-07-16, version 3.18.1*

The strap works maybe one out of 10 tries. While the software is slick it’s useless if the strap doesn’t work. Strap connection to your Apple Watch is cheesy at best making it extremely easy to lose it.

### 3/5 — Not easy to use

*2025-07-10, version 3.18.0*

First, apparently there’s an alternative method to get reading which I didn’t know until I explained I kept getting errors no matter what. Now, the info on the watch is not syncing with the app. I restarted both watch and phone and they still don’t pair. It’s becoming more hassle than what’s it’s worth.

### 1/5 — 🚫 Completely Useless – App Won’t Even Load

*2025-07-07, version 3.18.0*

I purchased the Aura Strap 2 with high hopes, but the app simply doesn’t work. It crashes on launch or gets stuck loading indefinitely — making the strap itself completely useless. Without the app, the device can’t collect or display any data. I’ve restarted, reinstalled, updated iOS… nothing fixes it.

Judging by recent reviews, this isn’t just a one-off issue — it’s widespread and ongoing. Support hasn’t responded, and there’s no patch or update in sight. This feels like a scam product — sleek marketing, but no functionality. Apple should seriously consider removing this app from the store until it’s fixed.

### 1/5 — Just don’t bother

*2025-07-02, version 3.18.0*

This thing is useless. I’ve had it for months and it’s only been able to take a reading a handful of times. Yesterday I had to do it over 50 times to work. Today I’ve don’t it 35 and it’s still not working. I’ve repeatedly reached out and done everything they’ve said to troubleshoot it and it still doesn’t work. Waste of time and money

### 2/5 — Disappointed

*2025-06-24, version 3.17.7*

Always getting incorrect data. Can’t take measurements. Tried thoroughly following instructions to the tee. Ain’t working !

If finally was able to get a reading going bare foot in the grass. I think it might have helped.
Adding one star as a result .

### 1/5 — Do not buy this watch.

*2025-06-20, version 3.17.7*

There’s a reason there are no reviews on their FB, and all comments are hidden…there’s virtually no good social proof. I had nothing but problems after purchasing two of these devices. The return process was very difficult, and I had to screenshot a copy of their terms and services to finally get someone to concede & grant me a return label. I posted about my experience on my (public) FB page with a hashtag and comments from strangers with similar experiences have been popping up left & right since, which is sad. Buyer beware.

### 1/5 — All Hype No Reliability

*2025-06-05, version 3.17.6*

I had high hopes. A sleek fitness band that promised to measure body composition, hydration, and more? Sign me up. Out of the box, setup was smooth. I followed every step to the letter. Got my first reading and… huh? Way off. Like laughably off. Compared to my BodPod results, the numbers weren’t just inaccurate, they were fiction.

Still, I gave it a fair shot. A week later, I tried to run another scan. Nothing. Checked the battery. Checked the app. Restarted everything. Reinstalled the app. Jumped through every hoop. Finally got it working again—and the reading? Apparently, I’m obese now. I’m 5’6”, a size 4–6, with a 27-inch waist. Obese? Seriously? Who programmed this thing-Willy Wonka?

Tried again. Wouldn’t take a reading. Eventually, I tossed the band in a drawer. Came back a month later to try again. Same result: total failure to function.

And to be clear, I’m not tech-illiterate. I work in product development. I know the difference between user error and a product that simply doesn’t work. This band is the latter. Pure gimmick. Slick marketing covering a broken experience.

80% of the time it won’t even take a reading. The other 20%, it gives results so wildly off they’re not even directionally useful.

If you're thinking of buying it, don't. Save your money, and your sanity.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Guest mode doesn’t work

*2026-07-01, version 3.20.0*

It wouldn’t record guest mode data

### 1/5 — Bad Product and Support

*2026-05-08, version 3.20.0*

I purchased the AURA Strap 2 (Order S37118). It failed with two months. I asked to exchanged the strap, and Support will not respond. The only response I have ever received from my 9 emails, is that they are out of the office and will respond to me when they return.

While looking for a DIY solution I learned AURA has an unusually high, early failure rate.

DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT.

### 1/5 — Untrustworthy Company

*2025-12-15, version 3.20.0*

I bought the wrist band and it literally was too small so I asked for a return. They ignored email responses even though I was in the return window. One email they offered a bigger band that wasn’t for my watch but refused the return. I disputed it with my credit card with all the emails showing they wouldn’t let me return it and the CC sided with them. Terrible company and terrible customer service. NEVER PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THEM.

### 1/5 — Piece of Plastic

*2025-11-14, version 3.20.0*

I was force to keep this plastic even if does not work. because support does not respond for refund request. It was promised one day and then rescheduled. I request to cancel the order which they did but they still sent the item. I was out of town and was not able to reject. Have requested the refund and returned label since then with no response. Stay away. do not waste your time

### 1/5 — This product doesn’t work

*2025-11-11, version 3.20.0*

I bought my Aura strap few months back, it worked for a few time then it kept saying “Error”
I contacted the company and the said may be the problem with the batch and the exchanged a new one for me. After receiving the replacement, it worked for like a couple of times but the data was inaccurate. Then it stopped working again. Just kept saying “Error”, “Bad Data” . I contacted them again and ask if I could get a refund, the refused and I ask if there’s anything I could do about it, they just didn’t respond back. So basically this product just doesn’t work and shouldn’t be launched if the product doesn’t do what it supposed to do.

### 1/5 — I want to like it

*2025-11-04, version 3.20.0*

Really want to enjoy this. I constantly get an error for not touching contacts no matter what. The company troubleshoots you. If they can’t figure it out they just go silent. This is my second device. So irritated because these metrics are crucial to my journey.

### 1/5 — Dont waste your time

*2025-10-06, version 3.20.0*

Cant use on older watches anymore. You need a minimum of WatchOS 8

It was working fine on my old watches. And now they want me to buy a new watch to be able to use something I already paid for.

Diagracefull company. Dont buy their trash.

### 1/5 — No funciona

*2025-09-25, version 3.20.0*

Escanea pero no muestra ningún dato

### 1/5 — Prototype feel, constant failed measurements

*2025-09-08, version 3.19.1*

This product and app is super janky. The instructions are wordy and not helpful. This feels like a research prototype product than an actual working product that can help you with health goals. 9/10 of my measurements are unsuccessful and it’s not a fun experience. I would consider a different product if you haven’t gotten this yet!

### 1/5 — Don’t waste your money

*2025-08-31, version 3.19.1*

I’m on the second watch band after the first just stopped working. My second one was working fine until it said I needed to change the battery and after trying several new batteries, it just never came back. For both bands, they started out strong and then just stopped working within several months. For the second one, I only used it weekly and would then not wear it as a watch band to see if that helped prolong its life. Not so much. Save your money.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — So far so good

*2025-07-10, version 3.18.0*

Getting used to it so far. I like what I’m seeing so far. Everything is linked and set.

### 5/5 — Measures up well with other devices

*2025-06-03, version 3.17.6*

I have been using the strap and a Eufy and medical weights and the Aura strap is accurate. It’s convenient and measures up almost 100% to these other devices without the trouble of the other devices or seeing a doctor. I am getting my first dexa scan and I will update this !

### 5/5 — Love it but confused

*2025-05-02, version 3.17.5*

I can’t figure out how to take a measurement? I did one during the initial setup but now I can’t seem to figure out how to do more measurements?

### 5/5 — Great Strap and App

*2025-03-06, version 3.17.1*

I saw the strap on line, read reviews, and decided to buy it. I like the strap and app combo. I measure three times a week. I feel it gives an accurate reading of my stats. I am at my goal weight, having lost 104 pounds with WW. However, my weight does fluctuate a pound or two, and this helps me stay balanced, as I can compare muscle mass, water, and fat.

### 5/5 — Love it

*2025-02-02, version 3.17.0*

Allows me to have the necessary information about my body. Very useful to make adjustments to my daily intake of protein and water.

### 5/5 — Great Insights

*2025-01-27, version 3.16.2*

I will admit initially I had trouble getting readings. However, once I figured it out, the insights provided into my body. Composition are absolutely incredible. I have a scale that gives advanced body composition notes, but having both allows me the opportunity to get a better idea of exactly where my body is at and what I need to continue working on or refocus on. The app itself is intuitive, although I do wish the readings from the watch came through to the phone, a little bit quicker, I don’t know that that’s necessarily an issue with the app as much as it is my environment and the significant amount of Bluetooth devices I have.

### 5/5 — Best Body Composition Tracker Ever!!!!

*2025-01-20, version 3.16.2*

Does an amazing job of keeping track of your progress with losing weight and body fat and gaining muscle and it’s just awesome!!!!

### 5/5 — Simple and Easy

*2025-01-15, version 3.16.1*

I love being able to accurately measure my body fat! I am a trainer and staying fit and in a healthy body fat range is important to me. The Aura Strap 2 helps me stay aware of body fat and hydration levels. Simple to use, easy to test.

### 5/5 — Aura device

*2024-11-16, version 3.15.2*

Get to know about this device and I had use for few day and was happy with the result. Their service support also highly recommended. Was fast to respond to my questions and replacement.

### 5/5 — My new accountability partner

*2024-11-04, version 3.15.1*

I chose the Aura band for my Apple Watch and have thoroughly enjoyed using it to keep tabs on my weight, fat content, and muscle mass. There are several view options depending on your preference for data visualization. Keeping up with my BMI and reaching my target is so helpful.
