### 4/5 — Agree with YoZhua

Please add option to listen to intervals “down “ in addition to “up”.
Otherwise fine app. Thanks

### 4/5 — Great Learning App

*2021-08-14*

Great app for ear training but has a few bugs. For example, after closing an ad, you can’t go back to the main menu and have to close this app.

### 5/5 — Amazing for GCSE

*2021-03-14*

I’ve been struggling with the appraising questions for GCSE music and this app has helped so much!

### 5/5 — So useful

*2021-03-03*

I’m a secondary school student and really enjoy music theory. I came across this app from their website and it is the most useful app I have every found. It allows you to progress so quickly. 10/10 would recommend

### 5/5 — I dig it

*2020-12-30*

After learning some theory and a little ear training, my chops have improved.

### 4/5 — Good app but..

*2020-11-10*

If It would be nice to see a statistics section, unless I missed it.

### 5/5 — Good app but.....

*2020-10-21*

Good little learning and practice tool, but as others have said, it’s not for complete beginners!

### 4/5 — Room for improvement

*2020-04-05*

I feel like this app is great, just a couple of things I would add that would make this app better:
1. Add Speed adjustment for scales
2. Add chromatic scale option.
2. Add Descending intervals, scales option

This app is great just think these things would make it a lot better

### 5/5 — WOW

*2020-03-31*

I have literally never written a review before but this app is SO useful for me as a music composer for a video game. Thank you so much, developers, for gracing us with this gift.

### 1/5 — Boring

*2022-05-24, version 2.4*

It’s boring

### 1/5 — Unser Musiklehrer quält uns damit!!!

*2021-05-31*

Hilfe!!!

### 1/5 — “Aural Wiz pasted from...”

*2020-10-31*

Really? Your app has to copy content on the clipboard in order to function? You really need the last URL I pasted in order to teach music? You need the password I just copied?

Yeah, I don’t think so.

### 1/5 — App review

*2019-03-17*

I am very confused on how to work this app. I’ve heard great things about it but honestly it’s not that great. I thought it would be straight forward but i thought wrong. I would only download this app if u know your way around these things.

### 2/5 — Mistake

*2017-05-28, version 1.3.2*

Just downloaded the app, tapping through the various exercises, and found a glaring mistake. The chord labeled "minor 7th" ( scale degrees 1-b3-5-b7, technically a minor-minor 7 chord) is outlined as a minor-major(1-b3-5-7). Ear training is difficult for most as it is, but wrong input is just wrong!!! Fix it, folks!!!

### 3/5 — Great app, wish it could be more in depth

*2023-12-20*

Really great app, just wish it included modes of melodic/harmonic minor, and chords with extensions

### 3/5 — Decent but a little limited

*2022-07-23*

Pretty good for really basic stuff, especially for modes and some scales. If you want to practice beyond the basic chords and cadences though you should try a different app

### 3/5 — Interesting

*2020-11-19*

This is an interesting app and helpful with scales etc. I was a little distracted with how the note’s timbre suddenly changes in the middle of a scale.

### 3/5 — Thank you

*2020-04-07*

I love this app but it could use a little more fun!! I found it boring at first

### 3/5 — Great app if you know what cadence, intervals and minors are

*2019-09-07*

Not so great if you only know basic music theory. There are no explanations anywhere to help you understand what the different terms mean. Aside from that it’s a great app, it’s great knowing what a minor 7th sounds like, not so great not knowing anything about what a minor 7th actually means.. hope his makes sense.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Why I love this app .

*2026-06-29*

It’s fun and challenging

### 5/5 — Wish I had this tool years ago

*2026-05-23*

Thank you for making this app and for allowing it to be free/ accessible. Wish I’d had this when first learning theory years ago. Very helpful with drilling the basics.

### 5/5 — Fun to play with

*2026-01-12*

Most of these were easy but I never really thought about major vs minor sixths before . . . Learned something new.

### 5/5 — Great

*2025-11-29*

Like it and love it. Really helpful

### 5/5 — Great App!

*2025-03-25, version 2.5*

I LOVE it; it’s a game changer!

### 5/5 — Teaching

*2024-10-13*

Teaches me useful stuff for my music.

### 5/5 — Good value and a fascinating app with much to recommend it. Simple to use.

*2024-04-08*

Superb. Thought I knew how to spot chords, cadences, modes etc. but this app makes you realise just how much there is to learn. Can’t complain, it’ll keep me entertained for a long time, assuming I make the the necessary progress. I play the piano and have good pitch, but even so it opens your eyes to the fascinating world of music theory as well as practice.

### 5/5 — Bullet Bass

*2024-03-06, version 2.5*

Great App !!!

### 5/5 — Absolutely fantastic

*2023-04-06*

For a free app, this is fantastic. No ads, good quality. My only recommendation is more cadence recordings, they seem to repeat a lot.

### 5/5 — Great ear training app

*2021-10-04*

I have gotten so much faster identifying intervals after using this app! My one suggestion is adding an option to hear the higher note first with interval training. I always have to sing something back to myself if the note goes down instead of up.
