Reviewing the terms of service, you have to agree to this prior to using. I would not use this in a secure or sensitive environment. ### 1/5 — Awful *2024-07-26* Awful, says enter passcode but nothing happens after that ### 1/5 — Could have been a great product … *2024-04-24, version 1.0.23* … but instead it’s junk. The developer is completely software incompetent and had decided to use a proprietary framebuffer streaming protocol rather than something standard like VNC. Result is that none of the many clients they need to maintain work in entirely different ways. This iOS client is probably the worst of the bunch. Do not buy. *2023-08-18, version 1.0.16* I bought to use on my iPad, it will not recognise and input from keyboard or mouse or trackpad after performing the three finger gesture to enable touch. Support has not responded. ### 1/5 — ipad app is not functional *2023-08-15, version 1.3* I was able to get the hardware working on OSX - but the iPad app will not accept any input from the pointer or keyboard. I toggle both on via the three finger gesture, but it never reaches the host computer. Additionally the app is littered with UX bugs, settings dont save, or if they do its only some save. The UI is unclear. Really cool hardware idea let down by a poor app experiance but hopefully it improves over time. ### 1/5 — Can’t connect *2023-06-14, version 1.0.16* Failed to connect to a windows through hdmi. Can’t hit DEL button to enter BIOS, it just ignores an input of this button! ### 1/5 — Appalling Software *2025-07-25, version 3.0.3* This is just about the worst KVM software I have ever used. Firstly, you have to use a phone to set it up, and really, who wants to manage a PC on a Phone. The whole process repeatedly fails, time after time, but when eventually I did manage to get the phone app to connect to the device, I could then link it to a Aurga online account and access the device from the app on the Mac. Trouble was the Mac app just shows a black screen with a mouse pointer that won’t move. Why implement it with a dedicated app for each device type, when an HTML5 client would work on all devices? Sadly I bought 2 at once, and it was a complete waste of money because neither work due to a flawed design concept and appalling implementation. Aurga, sort out your software. The Mac app hasn’t been updated for 6 months, but it doesn’t work. ### 1/5 — Stopped working at all *2025-01-20, version 3.0.3* Used to work now all I get is a white window with nothing in it ### 1/5 — It still doesn’t work! *2024-12-10* They keep releasing these minor updates which seem to get rid of previous reviews and ratings, but at the end of the day, it still doesn’t work. You can’t set up WLAN. The UI is confusing. It connects intermittently at best and when it does, the computer gives the Mac “bing” every time you press a key. To make matters worse, if you minimize the Aurga app and try to use another application on your computer, any keystrokes typed into that other application are passed through the Aurga app and onto the computer you are connecting to. It feels like this app wasn’t tested at all. ### 1/5 — Awesome Idea, just doesn't work *2024-08-03, version 1.11* This is such an awesome impressive idea, but without any execution. I've been able to connect once in WiFi Hotspot/Bridge mode - I even updated the firmware. But since then, nothing. I purchased two of these, and it's the same experience on both. This would be great for extending Windows computer displays into the spatial environment. The iPad version works, sort of, but for example the multi-touch gesture to exit full screen cannot be performed. ### 3/5 — Worked but can be better *2025-06-21, version 3.0.3* Keyboard input is problematic, always hearing alert sound on every key pressed, also the mouse click required me to press hard to be able to perform a left click (Mac touchpad has 2 stages click, it requires the second stage all the time) ### 3/5 — Promising but needs work *2024-04-04, version 1.0.22* I bought this to help troubleshoot IT issues in cases where I didn’t have a monitor handy. Aurga looks like it has potential, but it is far too temperamental at the moment to be very useful. It’s a bit tricky to get going and once you do, functions like trackpad and BIOS access aren’t reliable at all. I often have to restart the app just to get basic functions to start responding. ### 3/5 — Works but not mind blowing *2024-01-06, version 1.0.19* I work in IT and I impulse bought this device just to see whether this would be an interesting KVM option from my phone. While it works, I’m not sure this is terribly practical for most people. Initial setup was straightforward but the app continually crashed. I was eventually able to setup both WiFi and Bluetooth. it’s unclear whether Bluetooth or WiFi is better. I would assume WiFi but I think the app recommends Bluetooth. The app works for me and I was able to stream audio, video, and send mouse and keyboard input to my Windows PC with both the USB/HDMI plugged into my machine. Notably there was no multi-window support. I already am sending video output to a large display so when I connected the aurga it shows up as another display input. If your PC has multiple displays, the touch input may not be corresponding to the view being streamed to the aurga device. In my case I had to duplicate my display on the screen I wanted to control remotely since the touch input was only being sent to the primary display. I wasn’t able to get the mouse to move over to the second screen so this was the only workaround I could do. Latency wasn’t bad when things were working, but the application did crash on me several times while using it. When you relaunch the app, the stream restarts fairly quickly but it was still annoying. Audio quality was ok when I tried streaming from YouTube / Spotify, but occasionally there would be jitter and it would noticeably distort the audio. It’s noteworthy that on windows, the aurga device shows up as an audio output device, so if you wanted to listen to both local and remote stream that maybe a problem. I assume this is similar for other devices. Also maybe noteworthy, make sure you triple tap and then enable the keyboard and then the touch input to get the mouse to work as expected. It wasn’t intuitive that these are blocked by default until you enable those. I tested this on a Sony mirrorless camera as well and I was able to get remote video to send over. Not sure whether the mirrorless camera supports input via USB so I might be able to get that to work but it’s not terribly practical. All in all, I thought it was kinda interesting but I probably wouldn’t get it again. Hopefully firmware updates improve things more. ### 3/5 — iPhone app has much better experience than Mac's *2023-12-01, version 1.6* Since the firmware update fixed quite some bugs, Mac app has sluggish mouse control. Keyboard doesn’t show Mouse will not move Three finger tap options interfere with accessibility inputs on the iPhone. ### 2/5 — Useless on IOS with magic keyboard, useless on most NAT home networks. *2025-09-08, version 2.1.2* You are unable to easily control the mouse on the remote desktop as it does not sync up with the local mouse pointer if you are using a magic keyboard. Also, if your home network is using NAT, as most home networks do, you can't reach this device from remote.
