Would Y’all up date the app to fit the iPad Pro 13” screens? I use Auria five days a week, to create for My YT channel. I wanted a bigger screen to work with, and got it . But, Auria shrinks to the left top corner as a 11” Pad view. Merci, :) Nashville, Tn. ### 4/5 — Great but… *2025-01-08* I have had this app and tons of plugins for years. I absolutely love the flow and look of this DAW. So why the 4 stars instead of 5 you ask? Good question. I have a file app on my iPad. I can move any document, movie, song, etc that I want from iPad to computer using external hard drives, usb sticks and the like all without using Dropbox. I hate Dropbox. This useless function, forcing me to use Dropbox, in order to transfer my songs or tracks is crazy. There is no need for it and it is becoming a problem now that I am not only mixing audio but also video. Did I say that I hate Dropbox? I am thinking about going to another DAW after all these years. Please change this useless function. Please let me have control over my own music without placing it on some cloud for the world to see before it’s copy written. Please let me transfer files like every other program on earth. ### 2/5 — CRASHES…CASH GRAB!? *2024-01-11* Spent much on this and it’s add ins and can’t even launch it on the latest iOS. Wish I could always count on it but seems to not be the case. What happened to this app? I’ll gladly beta test but not keeping an iPad up to date isn’t good practice nor security. This works fine on a 2022 iPad Pro. I bought this because Cubasis 3 doesn’t have time signature and tempo tracks, this does. So for editing midi the Pro version is great. ### 2/5 — Worked great but now…. *2021-07-06, version 2.310* I had been using this as my primary DAW for a while then took some time away from it during the lockdown. Now that things are picking up, I decided to get back to using the program. For some reason, every time I use the metronome, it causes the mic to shut off. The mic will only come back on if I enable a Locator and drag the cursor through the locator. When I enable the channel and hit record, now some crazy wave forms show up while I’m recording. A little glitch that is causing some problems with the inputs. Hope this gets fixed. ### 3/5 — Dated and neglected, resting on tired laurels *2021-07-05* Auria (with Pro IAP) was groundbreaking when it released several years ago. It had a premium price tag, but delivered premium features: audio+MIDI, channels and busses, sends and returns, automation, a true DAW experience. Since that time, whilst the iOS/iPadOS innovation ecosystem made leaps and bounds, Auria has wallowed, festered, and not really improved at all. The updates in the past few years have just served to keep the lights on. The UI, which defied all the rules of the Apple interface design guidelines, has not changed a bit. File integration is still tied to Dropbox and 16-bit AudioShare! Hardware keyboard support (iPad Magic Keyboard, etc) is non-existent. IAP restoration forces re-download of existing content (which is slow!). Bugs that were present 5 years ago are still there (‘X’ won’t close the channel strip pop-up: you have to click ‘X’ and then drag the panel around every time before it will close—just one among several bugs, but I name this one specifically because I reported it 5 or 6 years ago, with no reply from the devs). When it came out, this app promised to be a game changer. Usually with premium price apps, the expectation is continuing updates and innovation, but instead this app has felt all but abandoned for years. There is a big gap for pro-level apps in the iPadOS space, and it seems that someone else will have to fill this niche. (Maybe Apple will surprise us with Logic Pro Mobile Edition?) ### 2/5 — Issues on latest Air 4 *2020-12-16, version 2.290* Won’t import audio files/open in via AudioShare or the files app, which means I have to copy them manually into the Auria folder first, then import via the app. Also audio clip gain control - sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. Please and thank you ### 3/5 — Auria Pro MIDI Clock and Tempo Issues *2020-09-22, version 2.250* I updated Auria to Auria Pro. This is a fully functional, traditional DAW with one major flaw. It does not receive or send MIDI Clock from/to other iOS apps, AU or IAA. In addition there is an intermittent issue when I attempt to change the BPM within Auria Pro. Many times the BPM jumps back to 120 BPM after closing the BPM window. I don’t need MTC, SPP, Transport control etc. I simply need Auria Pro to send MIDI Clock/ BPM to other iOS apps operating outside of Auria Pro. IAA/AU’s operating inside Auria Pro do respond properly to Clock. I’ve searched the forums. Others have the same issue. It’s been over 5 months since the last update. For my purposes, the inability to properly communicate BPM to other iOS instruments/AU’s outside of the Auria Pro shell makes Auria Pro only functional for importing tracks and mixing them without a timing grid as I prefer using AUM as my composition and improvisation environment. I have deleted BPM automation. Reinstalled and updated purchases. Tried many different apps when setting up MIDI clock communication. It doesn’t work. Please folks. Get this fixed. ### 3/5 — Bewildered *2020-06-17, version 2.250* Upgraded to the full version some months back then offloaded it and a few other apps to the iTunes cloud. Upon reloading, something went way wonky. Pretty much looks like the Pro version, but I can’t seem to record MIDI and can’t for the life of me to get any sound from the sampler. Also seems to have trouble loading even the simplest of projects at times, telling me perhaps there isn’t enough memory. I am running an iPad Pro 12.9 and have plenty of space and juice. So many things I love about this but about to give up. Perhaps it is a galactic conspiracy aimed specifically at me?!! Probably not. Any help greatly appreciated. The manual gave me no answers nor did YouTube. Please test this app better. ### 1/5 — Was great once… *2025-06-04* Currently on latest gen iPad Pro with m4, the timeline view doesn’t fit the screen vertically and horizontally and the mixer view doesn’t stretch vertically anymore. It makes working in Auria a PITA and not fun anymore. It seems the developers have abandoned Auria, which is disappointing, because it’s such a powerhouse of a DAW on iOS. ### 1/5 — No longer formats on iPad Pro 11 *2024-04-18* Used to be good, but the “Pro” upgrade no longer formats to my iPad 11 pro m2. It’s basically unusable for me now. Over $100 wasted down the tube (including in-app purchases) - I’ve sent messages about the problems to the developers support forum and directly to the developer with no response. It appears to be abandoned. I wonder why Apple still allows this to be sold if it’s no longer supported and no longer functioning on latest Apple devices? Buyer beware! I upgraded from within the original product which has left me (and others) with what seems to be a bug ridden piece of crap that doesn’t even display as Auria Pro. The midi side of Auria is a clunky thing indeed and I have spent the past week trying to get five tracks working using the internal sounds only. I am using the newest iPad mini but despite freezing each track, sound constantly drops out and any use of the expensive captive fx just seems to bring Auria to the point of meltdown (though not according to the CPU meters). I’m almost at the point of demanding a refund. Professional level recording capabilities, the best mixer anywhere, fantastic automation and time stretching features. The wonderful Salamander Piano, FabFilter Twin 1 and 2 Synths. Then the development stopped…for a couple of years. Well, finally it’s back and being developed again. Now it’s back to being a healthy functioning DAW. Loaded with features and sounds that surpass all other iOS DAWS. Prove me wrong. Thank you Rim for fixing the mixer screen for iPad Air models, and lots of other small things that put this back at the top of the list. ### 5/5 — The PRO and Basic version are the best DAWs on iPAD. *2022-04-09, version 2.310* I’ve used this tool since it was released and this and the pro version of tool is still my go to tool for mobile recording and editing. I will leave it because its still relevant. All the reviews I see are 5 years old. Auria was great then, but is much better now. Any features I wished for like MIDI, were implemented since then. What’s the point of posting 5 year old reviews of an app that gets regular updates. Auria is a fantastic professional DAW. The fact that there are fabfilter plugins available in the store says a lot considering the high quality of those plugins. Come on Apple, manage the reviews. It’s important to developers for the reviews to reflect current stuff.
