## What is Auric?

Auric puts your step count on your watch face, straight from Apple Health, and shows whether your workouts are actually making you healthier. It tracks the two habits research ties to a longer life: walking enough every day and training your heart every week.

STEPS
Your goal starts at 7,000 steps a day, because large studies link at least that many to a much lower risk of dying early. Your week, streak, distance, and flights climbed sit right below the ring.

ON YOUR APPLE WATCH
Your step count sits right on your watch face, read straight from Apple Health. The complications come in every size, with or without a progress meter, and the watch app shows your steps, Cardio Score, and Zone 2 minutes. Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets do the same on iPhone.

ZONE 2 AND YOUR CARDIO SCORE
Auric reads the heart rate from each workout and counts your minutes in five zones. Zone 2, the steady pace where you can still talk in full sentences, has its own weekly target of 150 minutes. The Cardio Score adds up your week, with hard minutes counting more than easy ones.

ZONES THAT FIT YOU
Your zones start from your age, your max heart rate, or numbers you set. If your heart rate runs lower than the formulas expect, you can set your zones by feel with a short talk test.

TRAINING CALENDAR AND TRENDS
The Training calendar shows every workout, plus rest weeks, sick days, injuries, and notes. Trends gives you weekly, monthly, and yearly report cards, along with your resting heart rate and VO2 max over time. Before a checkup, open a one-page report and share it with your doctor as a PDF.

HOW THE NUMBERS WORK
Zone minutes and the Cardio Score come only from recorded workouts, and everything else counts as steps. Research & rationale in Settings explains every number and links to the studies.

YOUR DATA
Auric has no account and no ads. Your health data stays on your iPhone.

PRICE
Steps, Zone 2, the Cardio Score, the watch app, and achievements are free. A one-time purchase unlocks the Training calendar, Trends, custom goals, and the doctor's report. There's no subscription.

Auric works best with an Apple Watch, but any tracker that saves workouts and heart rate to Apple Health will do. It's a fitness app, not a medical device.

### 5/5 — Simple, intuitive, and motivating

*2026-10-28*

Great app for tracking daily steps and Zone 2 cardio. The interface is clean and intuitive, making it easy to monitor activity and stay motivated. I especially like the emphasis on Zone 2 training and long-term cardiovascular health. A useful tool for anyone looking to improve their fitness without overcomplicating things.

### 5/5 — Simple and Effective

*2026-10-28*

This app is a no nonsense activity tracker that is unlike others on the market. The recommended benchmarks for steps and cardio are especially useful. They’re scientifically backed and intentional, so I know exactly where my activity levels stand and when I should be doing more. I like that the app uses data from Apple health so I don’t have to log anything after setting it up. The interface is organized, simple, and user-friendly. Another feature worth emphasizing is that this app does not collect your data! In a world where every company charges you monthly subscription to commodify you and your information, I appreciate an app where I can just pay once and reap the benefits with no catch.
