## What is aurii?

aurii is the operating layer for Australian private-hospital specialists. aurii covers the working day from bedside to discharge: ward rounds, dictation with multi-speaker capture, structured note generation, encounter lifecycle, patient master and chart, discharge with multi-recipient letters via Medical Objects, MBS and health fund billing prepared and coded against the episode, prescribing with printed scripts, pathology and imaging ingestion with AI auto-summary, practice-admin daily summary, and audit-grade record-keeping. Every AI-drafted clinical document is reviewed and signed by the treating doctor before it leaves the system.

Hosted in Microsoft Azure Australia East with customer-managed encryption keys per data class. Seven-year, tamper-evident audit trail with hash-chain integrity. Multi-factor sign-in required. Brisbane / AEST throughout.

The patient master in aurii is the specialist-side record. Azure AI Speech recognition is AU-region pinned.

aurii is the day-to-day operating system for an AU specialist's clinical practice across hospital and rooms. Templates, billing favourites and signoff scope are set per doctor, whatever the specialty.

Solo Specialist tier and Hospital Tenant tier; pricing at aurii.com.au. Start a 14-day trial from the app; no invite needed. A card is added when the account is created, on Stripe's own secure page, and nothing is charged until the trial ends. Cancel any time before then and you are not billed at all.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.1.36 — 2026-10-05

Deleting and restoring patients
- When a new patient takes an MRN that a deleted patient held, restoring the deleted patient never brings that MRN back.
- Delete patient removes the patient for the whole practice, so it is refused while another doctor is caring for them. An owner or admin can still delete.
- Deleted patients no longer show on Referrals, the ward round, handover or the calendar.
- Adding back a deleted patient restores their record only when the date of birth and name match, so a mistyped MRN never brings back someone else's history.

Booking requests
- The Medicare and health fund prompt no longer appears for a booking request that is already signed.
- Details you type into a booking request's header are kept, and Medicare and fund lines are never doubled.

Notifications
- Tapping a notification opens a page with the same look as the rest of the app.
- A notification for a note you have already signed, billing you have already captured or a result you have already reviewed shows as Done and no longer counts on the bell.

Patients
- Every patient on your Active Patients list shows in Patients. A hospital choice saved from another practice no longer hides them.

Discharge
- Pathology and imaging requests show the date they were ordered and, separately, the date they were sent. The request form prints the order date, with the send date on its own line.
- A request's timeframe reads Same day, so it is not mistaken for a date.
- A discharge summary states the follow-up once. Repeated sentences are removed before the summary reaches you, and the letter no longer adds a second Follow-up section.

Theatre booking requests
- The booking request carries the patient's Medicare number, IRN and expiry, and their health fund and member number.
- If any of those are missing when you tap Send, a sheet asks for them. Save and send stores them on the patient and sends; Send without sends as is.
- Enter a new recipient is a full-size button on the recipients step, and every button on that sheet is easy to tap.
- Swiping to sign a booking request in Communications asks for missing Medicare or fund details first.

Patients
- Delete patient, from the patient's header menu or the row menu on the Patients list. Consults, notes, letters and billing stay on file.
- Leftover practice consult test patients are cleared from the Patients list.
- Delete patient is also in the menu on a consult's patient header.
- Adding a patient you deleted, with the same hospital and MRN, brings back their record and history. Their old admission is closed, so the banner shows only the ward and bed you enter.
- A discharged patient's banner no longer shows the bed they left.

Signing in from the app
- Continue with Microsoft and Continue with Google open a sign-in sheet inside the app and return you signed in. Safari no longer asks to Open in aurii, and closing the sheet leaves the sign-in page ready to try again.

Discharge summaries over Medical Objects
- A discharge summary sent over Medical Objects carries the practice letterhead and the patient and admission details at the top, and the signing doctor's name, qualifications, provider number and date at the end, the same as the printed and faxed copy.

Handover
- A handover covering several patients can go by Medical Objects, one message per patient. The handover shows which patients were sent and which were not.

Pathology and imaging requests
- Add a recipient on the send step emails a copy of the request to another doctor or contact.

Discharge recipients
- Print is back on the Medical Records and Practice Administration rows, recorded as a manual step with who printed and when.

Letters
- The patient's copy of a letter carries a line under the letterhead: Patient copy of the letter sent to the addressee.

### 1.1.29 — 2026-09-24

Notifications
- Notifications now reach your iPhone. Allow notifications when the app asks, and a new task, a result to review or a letter to sign arrives as a push.

Dictation with the screen locked
- A dictation keeps recording when the iPhone screen locks, and each part uploads as it finishes. Recording starts when you press record and stops when you end it.

Results and referrals over Medical Objects
- A result, referral or document that arrives over Medical Objects raises a task in your inbox and notifies you, naming what arrived and the site that sent it. Opening the task opens the message.

Privacy
- The app covers its contents when you switch away from it, so a chart is not left showing in the app switcher.

Sending pathology and imaging requests
- The Send pop-up lets you choose email or fax when the company takes both. Each option shows its destination, for example Email to results@site.com.au or Fax to 07 5555 0100, with the usual one preselected.
- A company set up with a fax number only can be sent to by fax.
- After sending, the order shows the way it went, for example Sent to 07 5555 0100, Sent via Fax.
- The request the company receives no longer carries the Patient copy line. The copy sent to the patient keeps it.

Orders list
- The tag beside an order type says Today only on the day the order was written. An older order shows the date it meant, for example For 09 Sep.

Clinical journey
- An admission stays open, shown as 09 Sep 2026 to current, until a discharge is completed on the file. Writing or signing a discharge summary no longer closes the admission.

### 1.1.26 — 2026-09-21

This release answers the seven things raised on 9 September: finishing a background review, referrals filed where you expect them, choosing exactly where each send goes, hospital-bound pathology and imaging companies, note titles that name the hospital, and asking another practice for a patient's file.

Sending
- Every send pop-up now has a Send / Don't send switch on each copy that is not the main destination. Flick the ward copy off a pathology request and only the company gets it; the list afterwards says which copies you chose not to send.
- Where the screen already lets you pick people (discharge copies, letter copies on a draft, the end-of-consult note, a handover), the pop-up also offers Add a recipient.

Pathology and imaging
- Companies now belong to a hospital. Ordering at one hospital shows that hospital's companies first, then an Outpatient / any hospital section, and never a company set up for another hospital.
- Settings > Order providers lets you set each company's hospital. Companies added earlier sit under Outpatient / any hospital until you do.

Background and referrals
- The Suggested background box can be finished with nothing ticked: press Nothing to add, mark as reviewed and it stays quiet on every later visit. A scanned document can be marked reviewed the same way, so the Pending review pill clears. A new upload brings the review back for that document only.
- A referral scanned while adding a patient is filed on the patient straight away: under Attachments, on the Referrals card, and available to the write-up, whatever order you scanned the sticker and the letter.
- The Referrals tab now shows only the incoming referral: who referred, the date, and how long it stays valid. Referral letters you write live under Letters with a Referral chip, and Write a referral letter sits there beside Write a letter.

Signed notes
- A signed note is titled with its hospital: Admission Note - GCPH inpatient, Ward Round Note - GCPH inpatient, Procedure Note - GCPH, or your own template name with the hospital after it. The same title heads the PDF, the send card, the email subject and the file name.

Shared patients across practices
- Adding a patient that another practice already holds (same hospital number at the same hospital, or same name and date of birth) shows which practice and doctor hold the file, with Request access. Your own file is created at once. The owning doctor gets a task to approve or decline; on approval their notes show alongside your own, and the patient's Shared care page lists every request.

Under the hood
- The review stamp, the access-request table and its row-level security ship in one additive migration; existing patients and providers are untouched.

### 1.1.18 — 2026-09-05

This release focuses on the screens specialists use on a phone during a ward round.

Letters and correspondence
- Dictate is now available in New Letter, on the same recording pipeline as the patient-file composer.
- The patient selector is a live search on name or MRN, so nothing lists until you type.
- Send by resolves the Practice Admin address from your own Practices setting, and removed recipients can be restored from a searchable list of standing destinations.
- The consult Letter step asks for a delivery method per recipient, states the route and destination next to Send, and blocks a send when there is no way to reach that recipient.

Navigation
- Edge-swipe and the Back control now land one level up from an opened letter instead of returning to Active Patients.
- Month arrows in the calendar advance in the same frame you tap, and Today still returns to today.
- Settings sits directly under Insights. Templates and AI suggestions moved into Settings, and Shared with me is now the second tab of Shares. Existing deep links, share invitations and notifications are unaffected.

Discharge and clinical safety
- Recording an allergy through the warning modal now updates the discharge summary itself, so the entry appears in the editing view and in the final PDF.
- Reviewed AI warning markers no longer print on a finalised signed note or its secure-message body.
- Note and discharge generation report real progress stages instead of an estimated timer.

Billing and demographics
- Medicare IRN is its own validated field on the Demographics Medicare card, and Billing reads it directly.
- Editing demographics from a billing warning returns you to the same billing encounter.
- Referral prompt decisions are recorded per field, so a dismissed prompt does not return on the next visit.

Sessions and handover
- One phone is one row in Settings > Security, and each row states how and when the session started.
- Handover packets group patients under a hospital heading, and a sent handover's delivery details stay reachable from Correspondence.

Every AI-drafted document is reviewed and signed by the treating doctor.
