## What is Aurora Northern Lights Planner?

The northern lights don't wait for anyone. Boreal makes sure you are standing in the right place, in the right month, with a record of every night the sky lit up.

Most aurora apps stop at a KP number. Boreal is the planning companion around it: a three-day KP reference outlook labelled Quiet to Storm, a curated atlas of 15 proven viewing spots from Tromsø to Fairbanks with the months they actually deliver, and a private sighting journal that turns every trip into a personal dashboard. All of it works with no signal in the Arctic.

WHAT YOU GET
• Know which night to stay up for – the best window in the next three days is surfaced first, with its KP level and visibility chance
• Pick a destination that fits your dates – 15 world-class spots, filtered to the ones in season this month and tagged by how close they sit to the auroral oval
• Arrive knowing why it shines – expert notes on every spot: latitude north, best months, typical activity and what makes the landscape worth photographing
• Never lose a night – log date, place, KP level, a 1–5 intensity rating and notes for every sighting, searchable whenever you need it
• Watch your chase add up – Insights tallies sightings, places seen, strongest KP and average intensity, and crowns your best aurora
• Build the trip you are dreaming of – star spots into a wishlist and see it right beside your log

PERFECT FOR
• First-timers who want one clear answer: where, when and what to expect
• Photographers hunting the darkest skies and the most dramatic foregrounds
• Lapland, Iceland and Alaska travellers choosing between destinations
• Seasoned chasers who want a lifetime record of every storm they have stood under

WHY NOT JUST A KP WIDGET?
A raw KP number tells you the sun is active, not whether Abisko beats Rovaniemi in February or which of your nights was the best. Boreal ties the outlook to real places and your own history, so each trip gets smarter than the last. Treat the outlook as a planning reference and confirm with a live space-weather source before you head out – Boreal reminds you of that on the forecast screen itself.

PRIVATE BY DEFAULT
No account, no sign-in, no tracking. Your journal, wishlist and notes stay on your iPhone, and the whole app works fully offline in the field.

FULL ACCESS
Boreal is unlocked with a Premium subscription, available weekly or yearly. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation, the exact price is shown in the app before you confirm, and you can manage or cancel anytime in your App Store account settings.

Download Boreal, star the spots that are in season this month, and log your first aurora tonight.
