## What is Aurora Signal Norway?

Aurora Signal Norway turns complex space weather and local forecasts into a clear guide for seeing the northern lights in Norway.

See what the sky is doing now, find tonight’s strongest viewing window and understand why conditions improve or fade. Activity, cloud cover, darkness, fog, precipitation, temperature and wind come together in one calm, visual experience.

PLAN TONIGHT

• Explore the evening hour by hour.
• Drag across the chart to inspect changing conditions.
• See the best estimated time and what may stand in the way.
• Use animated weather scenes that reflect the forecast.

FIND THE RIGHT PLACE

• Start with Tromsø, Alta, Svolvær, Senja or Kirkenes.
• Search for places across Norway or use your current location while travelling.
• Explore a full-screen map and compare selected destinations.

FOLLOW THE SKY

• Follow places and individual nights.
• Choose how selective alerts should be.
• Receive local notifications based on the latest forecast saved on your iPhone.

LOOK FURTHER AHEAD — AND BACK

• Plan with detailed short-range forecasts and a broader 27-day outlook.
• Explore historical geomagnetic patterns back to 1932.
• Compare seasons, months and places before planning a trip.

HONEST BY DESIGN

The 0–100 conditions index is guidance, not a measured probability or a promise that the aurora will be visible. It combines the data available for your chosen place and time. Terrain, light pollution and aurora low on the horizon are not fully modelled.

PRIVATE BY DEFAULT

No account is required. Saved places, followed nights and alert preferences stay on your device. There are no ads or cross-app tracking, and optional usage analytics remain off until you allow them.

Aurora Signal supports English and Norwegian.

A subscription is required after onboarding. Available plans, prices and any introductory offer are shown by the App Store before purchase.
