### 3/5 — Data not up to data

*2025-08-19*

This app used to be better but they don’t seem to update the data on it anymore leading to misinformation about what spectrum each carrier has.

### 2/5 — Not showing towers anymore

*2024-12-07, version 1.6.2*

It use to be good but the app stopped showing towers.

### 3/5 — App OK… But

*2024-08-04*

As an outback prospector in WA, this App could be useful… But you have to be on line in order to use. Kind of defeats the purpose really. I used it on 1 Bar 4G on the top of a hill in Tuckunarra area out of Cue WA. Tried several times to see where my signal was coming from. No Luck. So for people like me trying to figure out line of sight to a Cell Transmission Tower… it proves useless. Apple maps has providion to store OffLine Maps for when you out of range. This App could be more helpful for prospectors, traveler's, caravaner’s etc if it had this capability. You can often take a small parabolic reflector or even a metal dish / pan or side of a vehicle to concentrate an eg. 700mhz smartphone signal to enhance your signal if you know the direction that the signal is coming from. I’m a Tech guy & I know. I used an oven baking dish 50km north of Sandstone WA to pick up a iphone signal from my Winebago Camp vehicle when No signal showed up anywhere outside vehicle in vicinity. Very handy if in emergency situation. Hope this helps the developer && other App Users.
Cheers TJ
(Outbackmac) in WA.

### 2/5 — Unreliable

*2024-05-01, version 1.6.2*

As we are heading to Upper Western NSW area, wanted to see what sort of coverage we can expect.

The app shows nothing, yet the Telstra site shows there is coverage.

Have zoomed in and reloaded data, but nothing.

Sent this feedback to developer via app, no reply, so not well supported.

### 3/5 — What happened?

*2024-04-16*

Seemed to work great… but recently, takes forever for the towers to actually appear… didn’t do this to start with.🤷🏻‍♂️. Now mostly unusable, because even with full signal, it doesn’t seem to want to show any towers… 😔

### 4/5 — One of a kind, but … offline needed

*2023-07-17*

I have a directional antenna on my van. If I don’t have a signal I can’t use this otherwise amazing app to know which way to point it. Just the filtered tower locations so I can work out directions would be brilliant.

### 2/5 — Towers not showing

*2023-07-16, version 1.6.2*

In the outback WA you have to zoom in an then keep changing from normal to satellite and back and zooming further but then it’s got no towers anywhere near it. Need to add towers when not zoomed in.

### 3/5 — Ok

*2023-07-04*

Was very good before the latest update. Used to be quick and give you an approximate radius for the signal. That seems to have disappeared and seems very slow to find towers. Maybe I am doing something wrong.

### 2/5 — Do not update

*2022-01-27, version 1.4.4*

The new update is HORRIBLE

### 5/5 — Brilliant App and it’s free!

*2021-10-15*

Great for working out which towers, available bandwidth and what connections I can access particularly when operating remotely. Some UI considerations as other have noted but:
- It works well
- It’s free

Thanks for getting this out there.

### 5/5 — Found app useful

*2021-09-18*

Would be great if it showed which service was which in an area. Colored pins are great but not if you can’t see who they are at glance.
In an area where is no other service than say Telstra a heading like TELSTRA only would help Travelers.
Many travelers from eastern areas have Opus and are caught out in western areas where there is only Telstra.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work at all

*2026-05-07, version 1.8.38*

Unlike the android app which functions perfectly on iOS it doesn’t give any data. Only shows your location and the location of mobile towers. Completely useless

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2026-02-28, version 1.8.6*

Doesnt display any towers in any location

### 1/5 — App not working

*2024-08-23, version 1.6.2*

The App worked the first two times I used and it hasn’t worked since.
Very disappointed

### 1/5 — Doesn't appear to work

*2024-08-15, version 1.6.2*

The app doesn't appear to work after downloading. The app opens, but the map doesn't display on screen, you can't change the map display such as hybrid etc.

Unfortunately the app appears to be broken.

### 1/5 — no longer supported ?

*2024-05-07, version 1.6.2*

This app used to be great since it reported both tower location and signal range, but not anymore. It now refuses to report anything.

### 1/5 — Missing

*2023-07-22, version 1.6.2*

Where’s the Telstra towers gone?

### 1/5 — Australia Tower app

*2023-06-05, version 1.5.2*

This app doesn’t do what it claims. There is no distance from you to the tower showing on the app and I can’t find any instructions or menu definitions.

### 1/5 — USELESS !

*2022-07-18, version 1.5.2*

Impossible to use:

Cannot drag
Cannot zoom
Cannot spin orientation
Doesn’t show distances from my position

Too slow
No Colour key

Poor colours and basic design

### 1/5 — Poor product

*2022-02-10, version 1.4.5*

No direction and distance to nearest tower
Tower Info screen missing speed, bandwidth data
Tower info screen cuts of right hand part of data and is not scrollable.
Can’t select any map viewing option, only terrain view.
Can’t be used in landscape mode.
Very poor implementation of an app that promises a lot but lacks lacks such a lot.

### 1/5 — Nothing on iPad

*2021-05-22, version 1.2*

Seems to Judy show local services on an iPad with latest version 22may 2021

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Fantastic app

*2025-07-23*

Great for exploring the major networks or using it for RF work if that’s your niche. Very well-made app. The app can often not load all the sites nearby (likely ACMA RRU’s issue) but simply turning the “4G LTE” button off/on loads the rest.

### 5/5 — Great piece of kit.

*2024-11-15*

When I want to know where to point my caravan 5G cellular aerial to get the best internet speed… this is my go to app.

It must be a labour of love for developer as he never seems to ask for any money.

Highly recommended.

### 5/5 — Amazing app but one idea

*2023-01-14*

This app is great but with a google street view feature to see cell towers “in person” instead of getting coordinates from the acma website.

### 5/5 — Great app!!

*2022-11-21*

Thanks for building a great app. I find it easy to use and is so useful!! No more scrounging around on the Internet to find the information I need cause this is just here on the app.

### 5/5 — Very useful but could be better

*2022-08-02*

I agree with another reviewer and would like to see the direction of the nearest tower from your current location and use the phone compass to accurately point a directional booster antenna to the tower. Great for problem areas and travellers/campers staying in regional towns. I would pay for that.

### 5/5 — Live streaming planing tool

*2022-07-23*

Excellent app for streamers to plan their network gear and setup before events. I found myself doing several hardware test aiming the antennas with the help of this app. I also purchased and tried several other tower map apps. This one is by far the best for Australia.
Possibly add option to control the radiation opacity. It gets to solid colour on busy towers and the map disappears underneath.

### 5/5 — Awesome app.

*2022-02-07, version 1.4.5*

You guys have done very very well with this app. Very accurate and easy to use.

### 5/5 — Awesome update

*2022-02-02*

Well done on the update! It’s a lot smoother and faster also handles having all 3 carriers up at once a lot better! Keep up the awesome update would love to donate if I could somewhere?!

### 5/5 — Very good

*2022-01-26, version 1.2*

Very good app; simple to use and no in app purchases or ads that block or interrupt the user experience.

### 5/5 — Brilliant App

*2021-10-22, version 1.2*

A very helpful app if you live in a remote area and need to install a booster antrnna
